I took my husband to this cabin w a few friends in July of 2010 and it was the perfect birthday get awat! We had tons of fun playing games in the yard, with lots of space to hang out outside and we had visitors. Deer would wonder through sometimes to find a spot to rest and sometimes to check us out. We loved watching them and having those encounters. One of my favorite parts was being close to the town which is charming and most of all i loved all the great swimming and fish. I can truly say fun was had by all in our group. And friends we took have returned for their own get a always! Heather

My husband and I were looking for a quiet and secluded get-away and this cabin was all we'd hoped for. We found the property to be totally private and peaceful. We enjoyed the daily visits of two does and numerous turkeys - one day a hen came with her four little poults - apple-size balls of down bouncing across the grass. The cabin was immaculate and well furnished. We could spend hours just reading, nestled in the comfy sofa and chairs. The Umpqua region wineries have become our favorites with exceptionally good wines and friendly people. The cabin owner/manager, Christine was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. We recommend this cabin to those seeking a tranquil retreat. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We hope it's not long until we can return.

I've stayed at this home with my husband for a needed getaway, and four times with a friend. I never tire of this location. It is beautiful and quiet and the house has all of the amenities one could ask for. The house is very clean and well maintained. Frankly, we very seldom leave the house because we're so comfortable there, so I can't really recommend activities or attractions....except Eugene (an hour away) and the Lighthouse Center Cafe in Umpqua (terrific food). My friend and I will be back in October for our semi-annual "retreat".

Thank you for such a wonderful, quiet, beautiful cabin to enjoy a couples weekend getaway. The cabin was in a very serene location. We loved the doe that grazed in the yard and the seclusion that your property offers. Your cabin is well supplied for guests, the beds were comfortable to sleep on and the wood stove made the house warm and cozy. It was fun to explore the wineries in the area. We will definately return.

My brother and I stayed 2 nights here while we were elk hunting. The cabin was clean and cozy. Actually much nicer than we were expecting for the price. We enjoyed cooking our meals here in the kitchen with a great view and a warm fire from the fireplace. We will definately be staying again.

Super Relaxing Visit

The purpose of our stay (November 7-11, 2010) was just a romantic trip to get away for a few days and to sit around and talk and read. I'm glad we happened upon this property in our search. We decided not to drive anywhere for four days and to not turn on the TV, but I was allowed to dial into one important conference call on day one! 3G/cell service with Verizon worked fine, although data dropped down to 1G occasionally. Anyhow, the cabin is thoughtfully decorated and very clean and comfy. If you want to be alone with your honey and don't want to be near a noisy highway or anything like that, this is a great place to be. We're over 55 and we had no problem walking the 3.52 (GPS-verified) miles to Tomaselli's in town for lunch in about 65 minutes. Walking past the beautiful farms and ranches at a relaxed pace and going up and down the hills was invigorating. Christine, thank you for your hospitality.

We've stayed in many rental houses and this is one of the best. Very nicely appointed in a beautiful, secluded location. The kitchen has everything a cook could need. We loved sitting on the covered front porch in the early mornings and at night. The owner has always been extremely helpful. The day we left we meandered back to the coast through Umpqua and discovered an outstanding cafe/bakery/organic veggie place....the Lighthouse Center Cafe. We highly recommend this house and area for vacationing.

Very nice accomodations but not at all near the river as we were told. You need to drive the 2 or so miles into town and then you'll be fishing where everyone does (ie you won't catch anything there). So, if you're planning on walking down to the river from the house for some casual and private fishing, this isn't it.

Our family stayed at this cabin June 10-14, 2010. The home was perfect for our family as I believe it would be for any family. It is well accomodated for every need you will have and beyond. It is nestled in a beautiful wooded area which provides a peaceful home for the wildlife as well as the visitors and the porch and windows have breath taking views. One of our favorite parts of our stay was waking up to the sound of gobbling turkeys and watching the deer eat outside our bedroom windows. It was by far the most relaxing place we have ever stayed at. Christine is so polite and caring. She is an easy person to connect with and I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone staying in Oregon. It was a fabulous get away and we would certainly stay there again if it were closer to our home. ***Readers, stay here...you will not regret it at all. Your family will be blessed with a wonderful vacation and an awesome time connecting with one another while watching the wildlife, playing games, cooking, and so much more.*** Thank you Christine for opening your home to us!!!! We absolutely loved it!
