The house has been upgraded to allow for preservation to mix with modernism. It feels like turn of the century because the authentic architectural details, and arrangement of space is untouched. It defines the old values of our country, unpretentious, authentic, simple. The house is across the street from La Posada Resort and Spa where you can indulge in 21st century ultra luxury.
• We are two blocks from Canyon Road, which leads to art galleries, restaurants, and HIKERS AND BIKERS wilderness, Santa Fe Ski Valley, the Sangre de Christo Mountains, and the Audobon.
• The house is sandwiched between two outdoor living porches, one with BBQ overlooking the garden.
• The SUMMER HOUSE garage was converted to an outdoor film room, with a projector to show DVD's, and DVD player to create your own multimedia performance. A queen bed for hot summer nights outdoors is a lovely alternative.
• The house is all hardwood floors, with French doors in the main living area connecting to the front porch. All original architectural details including chandeliers and all brass hardware.
• The dining and living area are connected, and the kitchen is accessible to the porch and BBQ for dining al fresco.
• There are THREE private bedrooms upstairs and one bath, Ideally two couples or family members. Downstairs is a Game Parlor. Another bath connects to the room.
• Two porches: One in front with garden of roses, and tiny little side terrace, back yard garden is beautifully landscaped, with a second porch area. Pear and apple trees, roses, lavender etc. The house is 2500 square feet, two stories.

- THE HOME is a gallery of photography. We feature Rock N Roll Classic fine art prints, and limited editions, by Jim Marshall, Philip Twonsend, & Baron Wolman. Beatles, Hendrix, Dylan, Janis Joplin, the Doors, The Stones. The musician's of the 60's. In the salon we feature "One for the road," images from Dick Spas, Taos photogrpaher, who is on the charts this summer for his Easy Rider Series. All photographs are for sale. Guests are entitled to 15% discount. Jim Marshall from San Francisco, Philip Townsend from London, and local landscape photographer, Dick Spas, and his Easy Rider Exhibition. THE HOME is uniquely turn of the century, and it has the character and ambiance of the old west in Santa Fe, a feeling of easy and informality, and to find a spot on the porch. You will find the people friendly, and curious about the house.

Why the Owner Chose Historic Eastside
Twenty years ago I was a guest at La Posada Resort. One winter morning I walked up Palace Avenue, inhaled the smokey pinon and pine, and watched the snow melt under the Southwest sun. I vowed to return, and dreamth I'd live in this neighborhood. When I walked through this house, I could hardly contain the ebullient joy of knowing, I was going to live here, all I had to do was convince Rudy.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The porch is lovely all summer for stretching out and watching the panorama sky. You will hear the Plaza concerts, and love having the hotel across the street for immediate company, pleasure, food, laughter. There is such beauty; when I wake up to writer's angst, all I have to do is look out the window, and I melt.
Rudy loves running up to Atalaya, browsing shops on Canyon, going to the gallery openings, buying jewelry, biking, and looking for antiquities.

We buy historic properties and redesign them into theme and vacation rentals. I'm a writer and long to be footloose fancy free, which I am because we are always moving. Rudy is a master craftsman and turns sheds into Shangralas.
