Coming to Lake Almanor is an experience never to be frogotten. If you are planning a one week vacation you would be best served if you where at lakeside for all the experiences of this fabulous week. One early evening in July the family was gathered on the deck drinking their favorite brew and telling stories about our day laughing and telling more stories when someone said how great a salmon filet and crackers and a dip would be right about now. The dip and crackers appeared within a few minutes, but no salmon. About 15 minutes later a 15” trout was ready to filet and seasoned just right for all of us to enjoy. The rainbow trout was fresh and tasty. Thanks to a member of the group who grabbed his fishing pole walked down to the dock and did his magic to provide us with the perfect pre-meal snack.
The next morning you are up early sitting on the deck with a fresh cup of your favorite brew. The taste and smell of the fresh mountain air is the best its been in a long time. Suddenly you hear a splash in the water startled you look towards the lake and watch an osprey nabbing his catch and flying off to consume his early morning meal.
Your “specially prepared” breakfast is placed at your spot on the deck table and you ask yourself, shall I get athletic and swim to the Rec. Area or paddle in a Kayak or sit back in my reclined chair and do nothing but watch the geese and their ducklings swim by. The adventure is yours to reserve!!!!
This Non-Smoking 2-story cabin is located in a Sandy Beach Cove with a PRIVATE dock and 2 buoys. Upper floor is approx. 700 sq. ft., Pergo floor, fireplace, one queen futon and dinning Room table. The kitchen is separated from the open space/living room, by a 9' horizontal wall.
Sliding glass door leads to the deck, Gas BBQ and burners, briquette BBQ, deck picnic table, chairs and a view of the lake. One movable umbrella and one stationery umbrella provides shade all day. The lower inside cabin area is carpeted with two bedrooms, 1K, 1Q and one small bathroom, shower only. The lower outside cabin level has a patio area under the deck with table and chairs.
The washer and dryer are located outside in this private patio area. The lawn, from the cabin to the beach, is maintained at a high level of care from spring to fall. A VERY GENTLE SLOPE to the lake provides easy access to this very sandy beach and dock. There are cabin deck chairs that can be carried to the beach and dock. Kick back and read a book on the dock under the dock unbrella or swim in the warm summer/fall lake water.
