Annie’s Kailua Cottage blends the charm of traditional Hawaii with contemporary convenience and the proximity of Hawaii’s favorite beach. Recently renovated, the living room opens into an exotic dining lanai then out into a jungle garden where you can watch and/or feed the melodious, diminutive Java Sparrows that flock to the garden daily. There’s a modern kitchen, a sky-lit custombathroom, and a spacious bedroom. The perfect escape for the couple or individual looking to get away from the rigors of every day.
You’ll slather yourself in sun block, don't forget your straw hat, put your towel over your shoulder and your beach chair under your arm and stroll past an ancient banyan tree that welcomes you to the beach. Or, leave the chair at home and take a short three-block walk into Kailua Town.
If you choose the beach, you’ll have the quiet of a shoreline with no hotels or commercial properties, just the stunning aqua bay, an occasional sea turtle swimming by, body surfing size waves, and a panorama of kite-boarders and windsurfers. All of this in the shadow of the breathtaking Koolau Mountain peaks. If you are an early morning riser, the sunrise on Kailua Beach is legend and no matter what hour you visit, you’ll be greeted by at least a few other morning beach walkers. Evening strolls always garner happy “alohas” from fellow-Kailua-files.
If you choose Kailua Town, you’ll enjoy the shopping at a variety of stores and boutiques, relaxing in the sidewalk tables of the coffee and tea salons, and dining at the many renowned Kailua Restaurants. Annie’s Kailua cottage is nestled into a lush garden in one of the town’s most traditional and desirable neighborhoods. A one-level cottage with a private entrance and separate designated parking is convenient and comfortable.

A mere 5 minutes walking time to beach (would be less as the crow flies). Really quite like living in your very own one bedroom house with plenty of living space and a lovely sun room. The upgrades - which include the sky lights in the wonderful bathroom with the koi pond painting on the floor - are very nice. Yard is very private, serene, and beautifully kept. Great value for the quality and location. Comfortable bed, made very pleasant with A/C in the room. Quiet, walkable neighborhood, with farmer's markets and cafes nearby. Very pleasant and friendly couple who administer the rental, always available to help.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

"Annie's Cottage" was absolutely wonderful! It was stylishly and comfortably decorated. The location was perfect between beach and town. Quiet and serene. The owners were exceptional. I can't say enough about it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My family and I loved our stay here. The place is kept clean and in very good condition by the owners. The location is great - It's in a beatiful part of Kailua, and it's such a short walk to the beach and town center! The owners are also wonderful people. They are very nice and also very accommodating to our needs. We're especially grateful that they were so accommodating considering we were travelling with a one year old baby. That can be very challenging, but they helped make it easier! We were definitely sad to leave, but would absolutely consider it again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had a one month stay at Annie's Cottage. There were no claims made by the owners that weren't spot on. They made us feel welcome from day one and were attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cottage was well appointed and "oh so comfortable". The sensational Kailua Beach with its sugar white sand was just a hop, skip and jump away. The quaint town of Kailua is such a nice walking town with some great stores, boutiques and restaurants. We loved out stay at Annie's Cottage, hated to leave but will return for another dose of heaven on earth. A visitor couldn't ask for more.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

As former Kailua residents, we were well aware of how great this location was. And it truly is. One block to the beach, one block to Kalapawai Market, central to everything in Kailua and in a wonderful neighbourhood. Annie's cottage is truly exceptional, well designed with beautiful personal touches and a great private lanai. The cottage was a perfect size and had all the amenities to make our one month stay very comfortable. Our hosts were lovely and easy to call friends. We had a great time and highly recommend Annie's cottage to everyone. We will definitely return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This place is amazing! I always worry a place might not look like the pictures posted. This property will not disappoint. It is a block from the best beach access, walking distance to downtown Kailua and hands down located in the nicest neighborhood in Kailua. It has its own private back yard and entrance. To top it off the couple that live in the main house are kind and honest people. They respect your space and you only see them if you want to and you will want to….they are great! If I ever had a question or needed something tended to it was done immediately. Unlike most rentals in the area the cost includes the required rental tax. I resided here for two months while waiting for my house to come available and it truly was a home away from home!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The apartment is very functional and offers much better value than a room in Waikiki. Ideal for snowbirds. Very convenient location, short walk to Kailua Beach & village...no need for a car....desirable part of town....with luck you will catch some good tradewinds and enjoy worldclass windsurfing at the park down the road.... The lifestyle here is about the beach...over 2 miles long...beach walks..surfing...windsurfing...kitesurfing...swimming to Flat Island...kayaking to the Mokes... We have enjoyed Annie's Cottage. We stayed 6 months last year and 3 months recently.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
