This family beach house was lovingly built in 1930 and maintains much of its original charm, including vaulted ceilings highlighted by rough-hewn beams, the original wood banisters and railings, and a comfortable, inviting sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of spectacular sunsets, cruising sailboats, and playful dolphins.
The main living area is upstairs, providing constant access to the amazing view. The dining area offers a large pine table with bench seating for up to 10, a long buffet table for serving, additional tables and seating in the sunroom and living room, and outdoor tables and seating both on the expansive deck and on the sand. The six transom windows provide plenty of cool ocean breezes, and each of the five bedrooms have ceiling fans. Two of the downstairs bedrooms open onto the large front deck, inviting you to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the gently crashing waves.
The five-mile stretch of beach just off the front porch offers endless opportunities for swimming, surfing, boogeyboarding, bodysurfing, skimboarding, seashell collecting, kite-flying, or jogging. The nearby towns of Newport Beach and Balboa are within walking distance, and Huntington Beach (Surf City) is 10 minutes up the beach. Lido and Balboa islands and the well-known town of Laguna are also nearby, offering access to many wonderful restaurants. You'll never lack for something to do - even if your goal is just relaxing in the sun - at this incredible location!
