Accommodations:  House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6-7)

Save $$$ renting this beautiful, three bedroom, two and a half bath, private home directly from the owners. Our two-story home is located in the family-oriented Mainsail Beach Resort complex.

We are just yards from the beach without the normal hassles of high rise elevators, but with all the amenities of a complex (tennis courts, two full-size pools (one heated), two kiddie pools, sauna, hot tub, video game room, exercise room, shuffleboard and basketball court, as well as seasonal beach service. You drive your car right up to the front door under cover of a carport. Your children can play in the yard or swim in the heated pool just outside our back patio door.

Mainsail is a 15-acre Gulfside family resort located across the street from the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. The resort is a gated community with 24 hour security guards. During the summer season, many children's activity programs are offered. Our cottage is convenient to great golf courses, deep sea fishing, biking, shopping, great food, and all kinds of water activities.



The First Floor:
* Living room with 27" color cable TV, DVD, VCR, CD, and cassette player. Queen size sleeper sofa.
* Dining room seats six with additional seating for three at the kitchen bar.
* Kitchen is fully-equipped with electric stove, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, and coffeemaker.
* Laundry room - washer and dryer in unit.
* Half bath.
* Master bedroom suite with king-size bed, color cable TV, and full bath with double sinks and jacuzzi tub
* Patio with table and four chairs opening to back yard and pool area.

Second Floor:
* Bedroom with two twin beds.
* Bedroom with queen-size bed, color cable TV, and VCR.
* Balcony overlooking back yard and heated pool.
* Full bath.

Enjoy cooking in our fully-equipped kitchen or grill out using the gas grills provided in the pool area. Our beautifully decorated home is our "home away from home." For those times we can't be there, we enjoy renting it to families who agree to treat it as they would their own home.

* This is a Non-Smoking unit.
* Mainsail does NOT allow pets and requires at least one person in your party to be 25 years old.

  • The time we spent in your cottage was wonderful. It was very well equipped & offered much comfort for our large family. The cottage was beautiful, even more than we expected. The close walk to the beach was also very nice since we had little ones traveling with us. We absolutely recommend this as the "place to be". It was a home away from home for us.   • We stayed in your cottage during our Spring Break. It was wonderfully well-equipped. Our son had a friend with him, and we travelled with friends staying in a townhouse unit just a few doors away. Because of the fully-equiooed kitchen and nearby grills, we were able to host dinner every night that we did not eat out. It was like being in a home away from home. The Parnells.

We had everything right at our fingertips and the cottage is the perfect size with room to spare for our family of four.   • We found the cottage to be very relaxing and comfortable for our family of five. Everyone slept great, and there was plenty of space to move around without climbing all over each other (like you might do in a hotel room!). Pat was friendly and seemed truly interested in our family's vacation; we loved the pool and our 12 year old loved the gameroom. We would definitely use this resort and cottage again, especially after comparing rates of other resorts on the beach.

  • We had a wonderful time in Destin. A very clean, comfortable condo. Close to the beach, a warm pool, great restaurants, and great shopping. I noticed some other condos in the area's pools were still not opened because of the hurricane. We were very blessed.

  • We stayed here for a week in April, 2005, and enjoyed everything about it. Great for extended families, as brought grandparents, parents and kids (7 of us in all). There was plenty of room, and plenty to do. Pat was great to work with, and the property is in great shape. The beach is an easy walk, and the pool is just outside the back door. Traffic was not bad in April, but it might take some time to get to the touristy parts of Destin during peak months. Highly recommended.

  • We spent my daughter's 10th birthday in this cottage and were delighted that it had all the comforts of home combined with all the vacation extras you could hope for: easy access to the beach, a regular pool, a heated pool, and a hot tub PLUS a jacuzzi in the cottage! It was a rare birthday treat for my daughter to be able to enjoy a pool and outdoor hot tub in November! The kitchen, larger than mine at home, was so well equipped that you could easily save some money on eating out and cook meals at the cottage. We loved it and can't wait to go back!
