This has been one of the many return trips we make every day to the farm house. I have never had a bad experience while staying in their beautiful house. Everything was clean and well maintained. The description and photos are exactly what you will find at the farm house. If you're looking for a peaceful weekend, go and visit them!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway.

The Farm House is a gem tucked away in Dames Quarter, MD. The house is decorated with lovely antiques, comfortable furniture and a large room for eating, chatting and relaxing. The screened in porch with a light breeze blowing through was lovely and two mother deer and their fauns came up to the apple tree and had lunch. The butterfly bush attracted large numbers of swallowtail butterflies. The property is immaculate and each bedroom, with its own bath, is cozy and comfy. We cooked a lot and all the equipment worked well, plus the pantry was stocked with special dishes. The little sun room was a great place for morning coffee and conversation bedecked as it is with a huge collection of roosters and chickens. This is my sixth visit to the Farm House and each time I marvel at the ambiance of the place and how it makes everyone feel at home in a safe and lovely setting.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our daughter and granddaughter accompanied my wife and I to a family reunion on Deal Island. We raved about The farmhouse so much that we took several of my wifes cousins on personal tours. All were quite impreFsed. One cousin plans to schedule a future stay at the house.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

You could tell from the minute you stepped in the door that this was a well maintained, beautiful inn. Each bedroom was custom designed with special treasures found in each--from handmade quilts to antique furniture. We enjoyed the sun room -- a screened in large patio, where we enjoyed each other's company, played games and just relaxed reading books. The owner was an interesting woman who was glad to answer our questions and took time to help us as we researched the area as a potential second home.Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+.

This is the 2nd stay at the Farm House by a group of friends, 5 couples. As with our previous stay, we found the Farm House perfect for relaxing, conversing, sharing meals, etc. The exterior is deceptive when it comes to the roominess indoors. Each couple had their own private (and beautifully decorated) bedroom and bathroom. Although old and filled w/ antiques, the house has all the modern conveniences and is very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked w/ dishes, cooking utensils, appliances, etc. The location is nice, within sight of the bay, and very convenient to many local attractions. We did some biking and kayaking and visited a winery while there. The house is spotlessly clean but cozy and comfortable. I can easily recommend this for a nice, relaxing vacation spot.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers.

Four TV crew personnel spent the evening there and shipped out for filming early next morning. FAR too short a time to enjoy this spectacular house and all its amenities. The living room with fireplace was our place to hang out. Would have made use of the kitchen and porch if more time. Highly recommend for anyone who'd like to spend a couple of days in the area. We are already making plans to return for a longer stretch. Many thanks to our gracious hosts!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

The FarmHouse is an inviting place for a weekend of study on Leadership while activating our Creative Energy. Thanks to Jo for birthing the LACE project and to Nancy/John for providing an excellent location to relax, unwind and be inspired by nature, art, and great cooking on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The FarmHouse also offers a sacred spot for doing T'ai Chi Chih! I recommend the LACE seminars and the FarmHouse for anyone looking for a creative retreat.Recommended for: Girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I wanted to thank you for being such a great hostess. Your Farmhouse is wonderful. Friday night I had the best night’s sleep I have had in six years. You and John strike a perfect balance of engaged hosts. The Kayak’s and the evening bay trips were wonderful. It is easy to see why you are successful as a B-N-B- owner.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.
