Magazine cottage description

TAKE A LOOK!! Our second unit ( the Cedar cabin I call Jenny's Little Cabin) is ready. If our calendar shows full, please contact us since our other cottage - Ambers - may still be available. Many of our former guests have been eagerly waiting for this. I have added pictures to show the inside living room and the outside view from the covered porch and we have paved parking for both. Both the cedar cabin and the original cottage ( which we have named 'Amber's Cozy Cottage', have the same amenities and sleeping accomodations.

Get ready for hiking, rock climbing, swimming, boating, fishing, golfing, bicycle riding, tennis, hang gliding, antique hunting, wine tasting, museums, and Subiaco Academy which are all nearby. We are much more reasonable than the Mt. Magazine cabins or the Petit Jean Mountain cabins and have less restrictions.

**** And, We now accept payment by PAYPAL. Call for details ****

Circle-C-Cottage is a luxury cabin nestled at the base of Mount Magazine, the highest point between the Rockies and the Alleghenies. With two units now, both cabins are private and isolated from each other and both have a gorgeous view of Mount Magazine from the fully furnished deck and the covered porch. The houses also are fully furnished with a hide-a-bed couch in the living room, a rocker for her, and a recliner for him (or her) Outside on the deck, a fantastic night sky will greet you with stars so stupendous on clear cloudless nights it will literally take your breath away. And August is especially great with visible meteor showers. Grab a quilt and a pillow and spend half of the night outside.

You can nap in the hammocks during the day underneath the trees, or roam in the woods, fish in two on site ponds or build a fire in the rock garden in the woods and enjoy a good old fashioned cook out with hot dogs, marshmallows, and more. Plenty of wood provided. You just have to gather it. We have three large well stocked ponds to fish in and you can even use our poles if you forget your own. If you get tired of being outside we have supplied the cottages with many, many games, books, and many videos for you to enjoy.

Nearby is great hiking and swimming and magnificent Mount Magazine, one of the jewels in the crown of the Arkansas Parks System. You will experience fantastic photo ops, hang gliding, hiking, and a visitor center at the summit. On the way up, stop at pristine Cove Lake for a great swim. Enjoy also award winning dining nearby, wineries, and museums, float the Mulberry just 40 miles north, and travel an easy drive north to Eureka Springs, South to Hot Springs, or East to Little Rock. At Jack Creek and Knoppers Ford recreation areas you may even catch a glimpse of a shy black bear as you swim, picnic, hike, and enjoy the bluffs. Deer and coyote, owls and other wildlife are regular visitors at the cottage. And the whippoorwills will serenade you to sleep in the spring and summer months. Enjoy butterflies and herb hunting as your knowledge of nature grows. Fix a cup of sassafras tea from the many sassafras trees on the grounds.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation. My husband and I both hold very technology intrusive jobs and it was wonderful to find this little secluded cabin! It had everything we could have wanted and we really enjoyed cooking dinner both nights! Barbara was very welcoming and her warm hugs made us feel like friends immediately. The cabin was close enough to activities like wine tasting and hiking that we always had something to do, yet far enough away from a city to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere! The view from the front porch is the crowning jewel! There are some cows to the right which are fun to watch and to the right is a gorgeous view of Mt. Magazine. Also the bed is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on. It is the size of a queen but extra long (my husband is 6'5 and normally needs a CA king but he could stretch out) and is like a cloud! Thank You for an amazing time!

My husband and I had decided to take my 85 year old mother to see the fall color on Mount Magazine. We arrived to a very clean and tidy cabin, fresh baked bread, beautiful views and a warm welcome from Barb and her adorable pups. We spent the afternoon hiking about, taking pictures of the mountain and watching peacefully grazing cattle. We were blessed. The next morning I found my Mother in a diabetic coma and frantically called Barb for help. An ambulance came within fifteen minutes and we were off to the hospital at Boonville. My mother ended up staying five days in the hospital and we had only booked the cabin for two nights. Barb and Ed very graciously offered to allow us to stay until my mother was discharged. They called to check on Mother's progress and Barb appeared at the hospital on Sunday after church. We do not have words enough to express how blessed we felt to have chosen this particular place to stay. Barb and Ed allowed us to wash clothes at their house and they spent time with us over cups of coffee while the clothes washed. Even though this didn't turn out to be the short retreat we had anticipated we left the cabin feeling blessed to have met Barb and Ed and to have my mother still with us in this life. Jennie's Cabin is beautifully situated in a location allowing views of Mount Magazine, a nearby pond and lush green fields populated with handsome cattle. We strongly recommend a stay in this peaceful place. You will return home relaxed and refreshed in spirit. We look forward to our next trip to Jennie's Cabin and a renewing of friendship with the awesome owners.

Our cabin was beautiful -- the view from the porch was a picture of tranquility. Our hosts were delightful people. We'll be going back for sure.

My husband and I, joined by our little dog Sally stayed at Jenny's Cabin for 3 nights. It was clean and comfortable and our hosts were delightful. We cooked breakfast and lunches during our stay and really enjoyed the fresh bread provided by our hosts. The nightly rate was a real bargain although guests should remember to take the checkbook or cash for balance payments. You hardly see this anymore, but it wasn't a problem for us. Cabin finishes were not high-end and the kitchen "stock" needed some attention, but the solitude, nice views, comfortable quarters and good value more than made up for it. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This was our first visit to Jenny's Cabin. It will not be our last. My husband and I were looking for someplace that we could kick back and just relax far away from the hectic day to day. Boy did we find that place! I cannot tell you about nearby activities because we were not interested in anything but just soaking up the beautiful fall Arkansas scenery and mountain air. We ate, slept, played games, played music, watched movies and fell in love with this beautiful place. Owners, Eddie and Barb met us, as we arrived later than we expected, with open arms and a loaf of wonderful bread. Barb had just made a lasagna and brought us down a pan for our dinner. Where do you find that kind of hospitality? Jenny's cabin was lovely, well taken care of, well stocked and very loved by us. There are Walmarts and grocery stores nearby if anything is needed. We didn't take our dogs but would feel very comfortable doing so. Ed and Barb had 3 of their own well behaved dogs and we enjoyed their company while missing our own. Cows were in the pasture next to us for a true pastoral view from the front porch. In the other direction was Mt. Magazine that glowed red at sunset with spectacular fall foliage. We took several drives to the top of the mountain and my husband hiked the trail around nearby Cove Lake. The photos we got were spectacular! We could have visited several museums, wineries, and other sites; but this time we just relaxed. We're already looking at our calendar for the next opportunity to visit Arkansas, Jenny's cabin, and our new friends Eddie and Barb! We looked forward to this trip without knowing anything about where we were going and now that we've been there, the wait for the next trip will be nearly unbearable! We left our hearts at Jenny's cabin.

This was our 3rd time back to Little Jenny and we seem to always find new areas to explore. Well stocked, clean and quiet in a good location to day trip out in just about any direction. Our primary activity is 4 wheeling in both Ozark and Ouachita National Forests and this makes a good location to access the many miles of beautiful trails just a short haul away. We always bring our two terriers and it's nice to have pet friendly place to stay. The best compliment I can give is that you will feel like you're family coming home for a visit. We stay at a lot of VRBO properties and it's gotten hard to find those that are truly owner maintained and managed. The personal touch makes the difference here. Thanks Ed & Barb, we'll see you again soon

We definitely recommend staying here and I can see why so many people come back on a regular basis. Ed and Barbara are great and the fresh bread was wonderful! The cabin is scenic, comfortable and has a great and relaxing view from the front porch. We had some issue with air pressure in our front tire. Ed helped fill it up and called twice to make sure we didn't have any problems getting home. We had a weekend filled with great memories and can't wait to go back! I highly recommend staying here whenever you are in the area. I promise that you will be glad you did. - Jeremy

I had visited Jenny's Little Cabin several years ago and had to share the beauty with someone new. Everything was just as I had remembered, if not better. We had an absolutely wonderful time there - couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to see you again this fall when we come back in October.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at the Circle C Cottages! We were greeted by Ed and Barbara with open arms and a delicious loaf of fresh baked bread. We stayed in "Jenny's Little Cabin" which had anything and everything you could possibly need to have a relaxing get-away. We will forever remember the mornings on the front porch out looking rolling green hills, towering trees and the mighty majestic Mount Magazine in the distance. If you have never enjoyed a cup of coffee during sunrise while watching dozens of hummingbirds dance in the air, right in front of your face, you will love Circle C Cottages! The CCC is located in the heart of Ouachita National Forest and couldn't be any closer to Mount Magazine State Park as well as other state parks. The scenic drive into the local towns was story book. We had such a wonderful time exploring nature and are so grateful to have places like this to come and relish in God's amazing beauty. What an unforgettable weekend and we can't wait to come back with family and friends. We are already starting to plan our spring trip! You will never find hospitality or seclusion like this in a name brand facility! Thank you Ed and Barbara for everything we look forward to seeing you soon!
