Brand new and beautiful private Adirondack home completely rebuilt and completed in Fall of 2008. One family preferred, 7 occupancy, 8 maximum, 2 cars preferred but 3 allowed.
Located 3 miles south of Bolton Landing village. Flat property (especially for being on Lake George) and great for the elderly and the young as well. It is 4 exits from West Mountain for skiing and just over an hour from Lake Placid, and there's Mt. Gore 40 south. Lots of skiing options. The house sits nine miles north of Lake George Village.
The original cottage of 50 years sat on this fantastic piece of property as a summer home. As a private owner, we turned it into a year round house and rebuilt for more comfortable accommodations and better views of the mountains and overall enjoyment of Lake George. Aside from a large entry porch, living room w/fireplace, porch, dining room and full kitchen, it includes a laundry/mudroom off the kitchen with brand new front loader machines that are very efficient and speeds up your laundry time. The house sits 40 feet from the main lake and dock on Lake George with Basin Bay behind the property. Basin Bay is fantastic for waterskiing and tubing and a popular spot for that.
Aside from the swimming, it's shallow and sandy in front of the house so you can walk out to the island you see in the view, swim or float on a raft, too. ( private, "Cotton Island") The protected swimming is fantastic in the summer or just take in the view while relaxing, kayak, jet, or hit golf balls off of the dock. It doesn't get any better for swimming, boating and water-skiing in this location. If you're lucky enough to stay when there is a full moon, watch the moon rise over the mountains while sitting out on the dock. The house has all brand new appliances as well. It's rustic, warm and cozy and yet built brand new with all of today's comfort. Huge rock wall fireplace that can be used year-round. It's a once and a lifetime chance to be able to experience this very special home and location.
Come and sleep with the windows open in summer and take in the sounds of Lake George right outside your window or watch the snow fall on the lake and mountains by the fire, after a full day of skiing. It's a family home and very loved and cherished. Max Occupancy 8 people.
