LOCATION...at Anne's Cottage you will be just over a mile from downtown Fish Creek in a secluded and well-appointed waterfront cottage. For swimming, fishing, star gazing and sunsets that can take your breath away, there is hidden beach deck and a pier. The shorefront cottage, set back just 30 feet from the water, is not visible from the street. The only traffic that you're likely to hear is boat traffic. Anne's Cottage is situated on a 10 acre estate, one of a number of early 20th century estates in a Fish Creek waterfront summer colony dubbed "millionaire's row".
PEOPLE JUST LOVE...the screened-in porch overlooking the water. There is a table & 4 chairs, a hammock, and 2 wicker chairs & settee. Some guests tell us that they have never eaten a meal in the kitchen because it is so very pleasant dining on the porch.
INSIDE...the living room has a classic stone fireplace, and seasoned firewood is provided for you. Are you readers? Our bookshelf is well stocked. You'll find the kitchen to be nicely equipped, and the eating area offers a great view of the water. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with twin beds. THE NEIGHBORHOOD...is quiet, beautiful, and special. The trees meet over the wildflower-lined street, offering a splendid route for a walk or bike ride into town. Be on the watch for wild turkeys, deer, pileated woodpeckers, hummingbirds, fox, hawks, and other wildlife.
SO MANY PLEASANT WAYS TO PASS THE TIME...relish a leisurely cup of coffee on the porch listening to our cardinals sing while you breeze through a sudoku or crossword puzzle. Settle in on an adirondack chair overlooking the water, breath in the natural cedar aromatherapy, and read a book or catch a glorious nap in the sun or shade.
Hang out by the water and see pelicans and gulls soaring over the waves. Enjoy a glass of wine & a spectacular sunset over the water and listen for the loons. And "at night the stars put on a show for free...", maybe even Northern lights, without city lights to dim the dazzling display. At the end of a magical day at your private waterfront cottage in beautiful Fish Creek Wisconsin, fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It will be oh-so-relaxing.
