Our family (parents and college age children) stayed over the New Years weekend and found great amenities (fully equipped kitchen, private sleeping arrangements, very clean environment). The location was several blocks from the Metro and about a 20 min. walk to the White House, so we were able to sightsee all on foot (great exercise opportunity!). The emails with Kate prior to our arrival provided much information on the area. More information was at the property when we arrived, again very helpful. We enjoyed having the neighborhood feel rather than being an obvious tourist at a hotel.

This property is awesome, as is it's owner. We arrived early and were allowed to store our luggage at the townhouse since we were ahead of our originally planned arrival time. Jarek met us at the property and was most helpful in orienting us for our stay - he told us about the restaurants in the area and shopping opportunities, gave us directions to sightseeing and Metro stations as well as letting us know about the condo. There also were tons of helpful DC travel books, maps, brochures to help. The condo had EVERYTHING we needed and more - very well appointed. Many extras. The master suite is so welcoming. And, most importantly...it's all about location, location, location...convenient to everything. If you love to get to know a city, stay here and walk to the central sightseeing areas - White House, Smithsonian, Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington Monuments. Could go on and on, but stay here and see for yourselves. Thanks Jarek and Kate for your hospitality.

This apartment is located in walking distance between two vibrant neighborhoods -- Dupont Circle and U Street. Access to restaurants, nightlife, a grocery store and public transit is excellent. With two bedrooms, to bathrooms and a convertible couch, there is ample room for a family. There is a washer/dryer in the unit which is a great convenience. The kitchen is contemporary, stylish and functional. The two bathrooms feature modern fixtures.

My family and I stayed here in January. We have a pre-crawling baby and the house was just perfect. Super comfortable and very stylish. The apartment was spotlessly clean too. It's a great area to stay in and we will definitely stay again next time we visit Washington.

Dupont Circle was a great base for our family (2 adults and one 18yo daughter). Close walk to the train along some of DCs most gorgeous streets - resplendent in their Christmas finery. nTHe apartment was well set up and easy to use. Kate was very attentive to evry email we sent and access instructions easy to follow. We also loved Cork - a cute wine bar with greta food just a few blocks away - and the WholeFoodsMarket had all our food and wine needs covered. We will drop again when in DC.

We stayed right before Thanksgiving and loved this place. My kids (11 & 8) thought it was totally cool, and we really enjoyed having a condo over staying in a cramped hotel. The street is beautiful and all the homes are very well-maintained. We are a very active family and walked alot, and we felt very safe. In fact, I walked to the Safeway by myself (this is the "regular" grocery store and is very close - my kids just don't dig the Whole Foods thing). We never needed a cab and found that the 12 minute walk to the Metro (we always took the red line from Dupont Circle) was alot of fun. The owner was extremely nice too. The condo is immaculately clean, and I loved the wine choice they had waiting for us. Here is my only thing: the staircase to the upper floor (where the bedrooms are) does not have a banister. If you have a small child, this might make you nervous. In fact, I have a child who walks around at night, and we put up the babygate provided to make sure she didn't go down the steps. Otherwise, this is a simply great place and we will recommend it to all our friends traveling to DC.

We stayed here for a week in early November partly to see my adult daughter and partly for my husband to attend a business conference at the JW Marriot downtown. It was cheaper then the Marriott and way more nice. Owners were accessible when we had questions, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood great. Kitchen was perfect to cook in for the family and the wireless flawless when worked demanded attention. Easy Metro/Circulator access. Beloved enjoyed his walks to and from the conference hotel.

Kate and Jarek, we very much appreciate all you did to make our visit more enjoyable. It was nice to have the brochures and schedules handy, we even added to them and took out a few that were pretty old. Your place worked very well for us. It was, as you said, very convenient to most of the attractions one should see while visiting DC. It was great to be able to cook some meals thus not having to buy all meals out. We tried to conserve energy and water when we could. Thank you again for the use of your place.

The condo on Swann ST was perfect for exploring Washington,DC, and we found it exactly as advertised. This contemporary condo is clean, bright and we enjoyed being in a neighborhood rather than in a downtown hotel. We walked to all of the DC sites and also rented bikes for a day to venture out a little further. Grocery shopping at Whole Foods is a must along with the organic market on Sunday AM. We found plenty of nearby outdoor watering holes for resting our tired feet in the evening. We highly recommend Jarek and Kate's condo!

The flat was absolutely lovely. Impeccably clean and clutter free. Traveling with a toddler is not so easy but staying in your flat made it so smooth. Everything we could possibly need was there. Swann St is darling and very quiet - reminded us of London. You can walk everywhere and never use your car. The parking space in the back is perfect. We look forward to going back in late Spring.

Jarek and Kate, We had a great time in D.C. and it was great staying at your condo. Everything was so nice, being able to come back and relax after a hard day of sight seeing. The walk to the Safeway was not bad. It sure would be a great help though if you had a collaspable grocery cart that could be taken with you. I would reccomend your condo to anyone that is going to stay in D.C.

We enjoyed the brownstone on Swann Street! We figured out the transit system (only 3 blocks away) and rode the bus to the museums every day. Whole Foods only 3 blocks away was a true find. We could have healthy meals without ever cooking! Make sure you see the Masonic Hall on 17th St., one of the main points of interest in Dan Brown's new best seller. We also enjoyed the lightning storm viewed via the skylight in the master bedroom! We love Washington DC! Thank you Jarek & Kate!

What a beautiful place and great location. We have stayed in various apartments over the years and this has been the nicest by far. The apartment has modern décor, feels very warm and comfortable as well as open and bright. We loved spending time in the neighborhood, which feels very safe and offers number of great restaurants to try. Our favorite ended up being our host’s recommendation of Tabard Inn – highly recommend it. We spend days at the Phillips Collection and walked the embassy row and felt very much as part of Washington for the week we spent here. We loved our time here as well as our hosts who have been great source of information on where to go, what to see and where to eat. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place. Stacy and Richard

We found the unit very clean, fresh and almost feeling brand new and even nicer than we saw on the website. The neighborhood is very safe, close to the Smithsonian and all the sights. We walked to two grocery stores around the corner (Whole Foods and Safeway), both of which are very close. The owner gave us great tips on where to go eat and was so nice that we almost felt like having a new friend. There are tons of places to eat nearby with Whole Foods just a few blocks walking distance, Starbucks down the street and everything very close. The kitchen appliances are very nice and pretty much brand new, very nice modern design compared to ones at high end hotels. The neighborhood is safe day and at night. Within walking distance of the Mall, monuments, and the White House. The most important thing is that the owners are friendly and very accommodating. Loved the place and would stay there again.

Our family of 5 (3 sons 15 - 23 years) stayed in this apartment just before Christmas and enjoyed it very much. It is spacious, modern, very clean, with everything needed to be extremely comfortable. Dupont Circle is a lovely area and we felt very safe. Grocery stores are close and transport convenient. The walk to The National Mall and sights around there is very easy and interesting from this place. We had a car which needed to be parked, not so easy in the street, but Jarek has a space available which we used. Jarek was extremely helpful before we arrived with lots of information emailed to us about DC and Dupont Circle. We had a great time and would recommend this accomodation highly. There are two flights of stairs though, maybe not so helpful for some. Certainly all was fine for us.
