Beautiful Home in a Spectacular Resort

Our family of four stayed here along with my husband's parents in April 2012. The condo (which feels much more like a luxurious home) was perfect for the six of us. Each room has its own bathroom and also a tv. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed (utensils, pots, pans, gadgets, two sets of dishes, glasses, etc.) We loved the pocket doors that opened up the entire great room to a giant lanai where we grilled out and enjoyed the incredible view. The Four Seasons Resort is just a short golf cart ride away (the views along the way are amazing, and we loved having two golf carts to take everyone along). The resort itself is second to none - tons of activities, great restaurants, beautiful landscaping, and the best service anywhere. The owners were easy to work with and the onsite resort personnel were very accommodating and helpful. We did not want to go home! We will definitely book again.

We stayed at this beautiful villa with our three school aged children in March, 2012. The Hualalai is one of the most stunning properties in the world and this villa is impeccably maintained and was even more beautiful than the photos! The 2 golf carts were amazing and the kids loved taking them down to the pools and beaches every day. The owner was very helpful and offered many great suggestions for making the most of our vacation. We absolutely will be back!

Wow! A Wonderful Home and a Great Vacation!

This villa is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The living space is large, tastefully decorated, and immaculately kept. We even liked the kitchenware and glassware!! It was the perfect size for us, our son and his wife, and their 8 month old baby. The view from the lanai is wonderful, but the villa is not on the ocean. The 2 golf carts, however, made all facilities very convenient and were fun to drive. Although we enjoyed the use of the Four Seasons facilities for a daily fee, we felt quite smug that we stayed in a palatial residence at a fraction of the cost of 2-3 resort rooms (and related meals) in the hotel. The owner was very helpful, giving us plenty of information beforehand about activities, restaurants (Thai restaurants in Kona are good and inexpensive), and reassuring us -- VRBO newbies -- that the experience of renting from a total stranger would be worth the effort. We would DEFINITELY recommend this unit. In fact, if we plan a trip to the Big Island in future, we would gladly stay there again ourselves.

Renting this property made the Four Seasons Hualalai even more special for us. We have stayed at the hotel for over 10 years, for all the obvious reasons. During this stay we still had the best of the best --- full access to all the facilities (pools, beach, restaurants, tennis, kids for all seasons, etc...). Yet we had much more privacy, and flexibility. Indeed, having 3 bedrooms, an upscale kitchen and outdoor grill, and 2 lanai's made our stay very special. This property has the best views in Hualalai, with expansive sunset views, and wonderful island breezes throughout the day. The unit is tastefully decorated, and fully equipped --- and is in the newest part of the resort -- i.e.; it's in great condition. This unit includes two golf carts, and the hotel is a short drive. In fact, the ride in the golf carts was one of the favorite activities for our young daughter. Finally, the owners clearly take pride in sharing the property with their guests, and they made our stay extremely easy and pleasant.

We stayed at this condo for a total of three weeks, and it was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. The condo is big and spacious, and it really has absolutely everything you could possibly need for a great stay. The views from the unit are just amazing - we practically lived on the lanai (and used the fabulous grill too)! We have stayed at other condos in this resort which we found quite noisy. This unit is a great end-unit that is set off from the main road. We were able to keep the doors and windows open on all sides of the unit and even the early morning car rush within the resort did not bother us. The owner is very attentive and was so helpful in recommendations for his favorite restaurants, etc. He was very responsive to questions and wanted to make sure that we had a wonderful stay. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit - and am anxiously awaiting the day we will go back!

Gorgeous condo with great ocean views

We found the condo a real delight - it had a terrific layout which gave people privacy (we were four adults and two children) yet plenty of space to be together. The condo was beautifully furnished and superbly equipped -- everything one could conceivably want was there. We loved the ocean view and saw whales from the spacious lanai on our first day. The gardens surrounding the condo -- and indeed in the whole development -- were beautiful and superbly maintained. We greatly appreciated information from the owner about local restaurants and actiivities. All in all, the condo could not have been better.

this villa is exceptional. my only concern in writing this truthful and wonderful review is that it might make it harder for me to rent it again and again and again. we just got back after 9 days at Hualalai and are planning our trip back. First, the resort of Hualalai is quite likely the best hotel in the world. the spa, the gym, the pools, the restaurants, the golf course, the scenery, the weather, all of which you have full access to from this villa. And also the use of the water sports and activities at both the 4 seasons and Kona Village. kayak, paddle board, outrigger canoe, open water swimming, snorkeling with the eagle ray in kings pond, snorkeling with dolphins, whales, manta rays, turtles as I did in the incredible waters right off the beach at the resort. Truly nothing in the world can match this place. Next the villa. Its beasutifully decorated, wonderfully maintained. Its spacious and feels comfortable and very high end in every way. We rode around in the golf carts (having 2 really helped so i could go to the gym or play golf early and my wife and kids could go to the pool when they were ready and we met there). anyone who is smart enough to be on this site already knows how nice it is to be on vacation and have your own kitchen. here its amazing. the 4 seasons has amazing restaurants. the breakfast buffet at pa'hulia is amazing and enough to ruin any diet in a perfect way. but its pricey, and so its very nice to be able to have breakfast at the villa and then head out for a day in paradise. The villa is huge and easy to have wonderful dinners there too, grill on the lanai. we chose to let other people cook for us while on vacation, but its so easy to do if you want to. this villa is perfect. and i hope no one reads this so i can go back again and again and again..... but if you go, you will love it. nothing else comes close. and the owners of this villa are wonderful, amazing, extremely helpful people, who helped make our vacation even better. recomendations for things to do, local restaurants, everything. Best. Place. Ever......

A Place Memories Are Made

This villa proved to be a perfect place to call home for 8 nights. Three generations enjoyed the flawless attention to detail throughout the villa as well as the entire resort. We especially enjoyed driving around the island searching for the freshest catch of the day and preparing it in the well appointed kitchen. (If you don't feel like dining in we would highly recommend the Surf, Sand, and Stars dinner at the resort!). This villa could be among the best of the entire Hualalai resort. It is located on a hill so the view of the ocean is truly unparalleled. You can watch the whales play all day! And when the sun sets and it is time for bed you will sleep comfortably on the great beds with gorgeous bedding and linens! The owner is very helpful and accommodating...contact him, rent this villa now, and start planning a vacation that you will remember forever!

We just returned from 8 days at this beautiful condo at Hualalai. It was the best of all worlds to have the space of a three bedroom condo and the amenities of the resort. The views from the master bedroom are wonderful to wake up to each morning as well. The owners take wonderful care of their property and make it a very easy place to call home for a vacation. We will definitely return!

We have vacationed at the Hualalai since it first opened. This year, because we had larger party, we looked into staying at one of the resort properties. We looked at several and ultimately chose this one because of the beautiful decor, the spaciousness, and the amenities. The view is beautiful and we used and enjoyed the loggia more than we thought we would. Everyone had their own room, their own bathroom and most importantly, their own TV! And being able to have a snack or a meal whenever we wanted, without having to always be in a restaurant, was wonderful. We had full use of the resort and could charge everything to the room, so it was no different from staying at the hotel itself. The home was immaculate, everything was in working order, and it was fully stocked with all the incidentals one would need for the stay, including towels, kitchen utensils, and toilet paper. We'll be back!

Beautiful Condo

This condo is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. It feels much more like a home than a rental. The views are spectacular. You feel like you're on vacation within 2 minutes of walking into the condo. A complimentary golf cart is available for a short ride to the Four Seasons, which is an awesome hotel and property. There are lots of activities for everyone -- tennis, gym, spa, water sports, many pools, beach. The owner is responsive, kind and easy to work with. You can't go wrong with this choice. I strongly recommend this place and place to return.

WOW- what a fantastic place- My husband, son, daughter and myself had a 5 star stay at this beautiful property. We almost cancelled our trip due to the tsunami damage to the Four Seasons. I am so glad we did not. We were able to use the spa, shops and some not/all of the restaurants- the beach was closed, the snorkelling area was closed and it STILL was AWESOME. We will just come back again to get the full experience. Cheers Staci Dealing with the owner was flawless, the condo was spotless and decorated beautifully. Most of the time I cant wait to get back to my beautiful house in Santa Barbara when we are on vacations. This one felt like a home away from home. We all had a spectacular time. We did the helicopter tour around the island-BLUE HAWAII Helicopter tours---- Snorkeled with a company called Sea Quest - make sure you ask for Capitan Liam- he was hilarious!!!!My family loved this tour- my son is 20 and daughter 12--- Oh yes there is a really beautiful beach about 1 mile south of the resort make sure you go!!!! The spin class every morning at the spa is a great way to start the day- Best exercise facility in a resort that I have EVER been to-- I HAVE BEEN TO hundreds of 5 star hotels. I could keep up my exercise routine while on vacation!!! I actually lost a pound!! So Yes I would recommend this to families - active couples... :)

Really well decorated and equipped unit, high up location in the resort allows for great views and is a short ride to the main resort. Owners clearly take a great deal of pride in their condo and put forth a lot of effort to make sure that guests have a seamless and enjoyable stay and recommendations for activities and outside restaurants etc. are all spot on. The Hualalai experience overall speaks for itself and this is a great place to stay to enjoy it!

what a family vacation spot ! The expansive ocean views were awesome, accomodations elegantly appointed and the golfcart ably provided transportation around the wonderful 4seasons resort. We stayed in this beautiful villa to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and brought our 3 teenage boys with us. The facility exceeded our expectations.
