  Katt's Kottage is the perfect getaway cottage- steps to a beautiful beach, quaint and cozy, private, and PEACEFUL.!. the cottage is well furnished and very comfortable- bimini is a small island where we found the locals to be extremely friendly and welcoming. Matt and Katt are amazing hosts that were always available, yet respectful. The entire experience was beyond our expectations- If you are looking for a great place to "chill"- this is it!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  First a big thank you to Katt and Matt for their great service. Bimini is a wonderful Island with a magnificent underwaterworld. The people are very friendly and there is plenty to see and do. Although there are a few big resorts, I believe the best way to get a taste of the culture is to stay close to the local people. Katt's Kottage is the perfect place for that. It's close to the beach with a wonderful underwaterworld. It's close to the Big Game Marina to go on tours and enjoy the bar and restaurant. But don't forget to try the local restaurants. Almost everything is at walking distance from the Kottage. The Kottage itself is very nice. There is plenty of room for a small familiy. It's got airco (very important), a fridge, a watercooler and everything you need for the holiday. You can cook your own meals or watch a dvd to relax. I had a great time and hope to be back some day. Again thanks for a wonderful vacation on Bimini where I also met the love of my life!!!

  I stayed at Katt's Kottage for the month of Jan. I was traveling with my 2 yr old daughter. Katt and Matt went out of their way to make us feel at home and safe. Our month there was paradise. The island is remote and supplies are limited but it is just magical. The water is the most beautiful I have seen and I have travelled extensively in the Carribean. We had the beach to ourselves lost of the time and we loved seeing the entire island via golf cart. Again, Katt and Matt were excellent hosts and we look forward to returning very soon. Bimini is an island that you must visit, truly one of a kind....

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

  My sister and I stayed in Katt and Matt's lovely cottage. The photos are exactly like the real thing. Can't say enough about how wonderful Katt and Matt are. The cottage is actually steps from the beach. This is really a place to get away from it all.

  My wife and I spent the month of November, 2012 at the cottage. We gave 5 stars--1 each for Katt and Matt. One star each for the property, proximity to everthing and the residents of Bimini. We plan to be back next year.

  Katt makes you feel welcome on Bimini from the moment you arrive. After escorting us to the cottage, she assured us that she was available to help with any problems or concerns, and let us know how to contact her at any time. This made us feel secure and thus able to relax and start enjoying our vacation! We immediately felt comfortable in the cottage since it has all modern amenities. Air conditioning is a must for me! And the cottage stayed nice and cool all week - a pleasure to come back to after a hot day in the sun. The water cooler was an extra nice touch as we had been concerned on the flight over about making sure we had a supply of fresh drinking water for the week. The beach is just across the road, and there was never anyone on it the entire week - we had it all to ourselves. We also enjoyed the sitting area outside the cottage, which is fenced in and private. I was already in love with Bimini from previous visits, and can only say that if you enjoy friendly locals, pristine empty beaches, and beautiful clear water, Bimini is the place for you. And Katt's Kottage is the perfect place to stay while there. You will be steps from the beach and walking distance to shops, restaurants, the museum, The Dolphin House, and more. The only bad part is that I'm not there right now!! We will stay with Katt again, and soon I hope.

  If you seek glitz, nightlife and tourist traps, pass this cottage by. But if you want relaxing evenings, beaches that are virtually empty, beautiful scenery, and the warmest, friendliest people you'll ever meet, then you've found your vacation destination. Katt and Matt are so gracious and helpful, the cottage clean and cozy, and the amenities just as advertised. This will definitely NOT be our last vacation in Bimini!

  The cottage was cozy and met our needs. The island and beaches were beautiful. Katt was extremely helpful and very accommodating. It took us a long time to rate this, because this was such a different vacation than what we've done in the past. It was so relaxing, and so laid back. No schedules, no appointments, we just got to chill out on our own. We enjoyed scuba diving on Bimini Road--it was excellent, kayaking out to the Healing Hole--we got to experience what we read about in the Edgar Cayce readings about Bimini Island. The people of Bimini were so gracious and friendly. That was our biggest and most pleasant surprise. The internet proved to be a little disappointing at the cottage, but by the end of the week, we found we really didn't care! We just went to the Big Game club and got our emails, where we met some interesting characters, so it proved to be a good thing!! We enjoyed the local cuisine: bimini bread, (thank you Katt for the complimentary loaf of bread!) and one of the local guys introduced to fresh conch, right out of the ocean. He cleaned the conch right in front of us, and we picked up the rest of the ingredients at the local market, and made conch salad at the cottage. We also enjoyed conch salad from the Conch Shack, and would you believe, conch pizza from a local vendor! We enjoyed a gallon of fresh coconut water from one of the locals. We also had frozen lobster tails and red snapper that we bought from some of the local people. It was all delicious! We did a lot of cooking on the grill outside at the cottage. The cottage was centrally located, and we could pick up most of our amenities within a few blocks. But we decided to rent a golf cart for a few days to tour the island. The island runs on golf carts! All in all, we would rate this as one of our best vacations ever.

  The cottage is quaintly simple and well-stocked for two people. Take food to cook. The beach is less than a minute's walk, but is not seen from the cottage. The people are friendly. The environment is perfect for reading. Activities on the island are limited, but that's okay if your purpose is to slow down. Make sure to take games, books, and favorite snacks. Katt is as helpful as you need her to be.

  I wanted to like this place more than I did. The people are really nice so I was gunning for them. However ... - The image that I had in my mind after viewing the pics on VBRO didn't match the reality. - The sagging double beds and linen need to be replaced. - There was just two of us but in my opinion the cottage would be way too small for four people. On the positive side the location was good. Just minutes from everything in Bimini and right across the street from the beach.

  Owner response: As you know, I check in with my guests at least once during their stay and again when we drop them back to the dock to ensure that all is well and that their needs are met. I am surprised to read your comments since you told us everything was great and you hoped to return again soon. I found out after your departure that one of the bed slats had slipped off the frame although you never mentioned it during your stay and it was an easy fix. As far as linens needing to be replaced that is ambiguous and misleading. The linens are replaced after each guest and thoroughly washed and bleached. Some may be a little faded in colour but their condition is good. I will, however, make a thorough inspection to ensure that my high standard of quality is maintained. I appreciate your comments and will continue to offer the high quality service and product that I always have as evidenced by the many years of 5 star reviews.
