CUSTOMER COMMENTS:
"A quick 4 hour drive from Boise, Idaho to such a wonderful town and a fabulous guest house. We walked downtown and around Whitman college to get the feel of the area and then took a winery tour in Fischer's Cabernet Cab ! We were here during the beautiful fall foliage, which added some ambiance to our walks. The linens were fresh and crisp in our room, which I loved. Great hospitality and we plan to return sometime in the future. Thanks for a great weekend get-a-way."

"We arrived at the Fischer House weary after the long drive and we were welcomed by our gracious hosts, starting our weekend in wine country. We stayed in The Master Suite with all the comforts needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Every detail has been paid attention too by our generous host. They were eager to offer up suggestions for activities and were very knowledgeable to the happenings in Walla Walla and the surrounding communities. The Winery Tour was "over the top" going to some really outstanding wineries. Lori & Dennis are truly in their element of hospitality. Thank you for a fabulous time." Nov. 2008

"Had a wonderful weekend in Walla Walla at the most delightful Fischer Guest House. After two nights, I am totally comfortable in the Vintage Room with familiar objects from my past all around me. The Volkswagon bus I once drove, the hats I played "dress-up " with out of my grandma's bureau, the furniture I bought when I first got married back in 1973. I bought a lovely Strawberry wine that truly tasted and smelled like fresh plucked strawberries, ask Lori the proprietor where to find that wine. Lovely weekend, will come again." J. The Fischer House on Eagan a Walla Walla Guest House
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Walla Walla
We purchased here because of Whitman College, Walla Walla University and the incredible Wineries. Of course you have to love the Walla Walla Valley surrounded by the beautiful Blue Mountains, the fact that is is small & quaint, flat and only 3 miles across makes biking & walking our mode of transportation when the weather is shinning.
The Unique Benefits at this 1929 Colonial House
Our Guest House is located only 5 blocks from Walla Walla Public Market, seventeen wine tasting rooms, gift stores, shopping and fine dining. There are parks galore, a community college that specializes in "wine making," plus assorted theater, music and dance performances throughout the year. Way to much to do in one weekend. Walla Walla is still growing and expanding the Winery business, becoming a destination vacation. We want our visitors to return year after year.
Don't forget to book a Winery Tour when you visit us !
Owner's Map of Walla Walla
I am a semi-retired school teacher. A few years back my husband and I made a change in our lifestyle and got out of the traffic & hustle bustle of the Seattle metropolitan area. We started to think about what we wanted in our new home, topping the list was a college town so we could keep current on the arts, music and theater. We also wanted nice weather and a community we could be involved in. We visited Walla Walla for the first time in June of 2006 and that was all it took. Walking the Whitman College campus, visiting numerous wineries and seeing what this small quaint town had to offer, we decided to start planning and make the move. It took two years, but we did it. We now own The Fischer House, it is a beautiful guest house just 5 blocks from Main Street. We also run Winery Tours and offer the house for private meetings, small gatherings and wine tastings. We love it.
