CUSTOMER COMMENTS:
"We loved staying at The Fischer House, we had the whole house for a Wine Get-a-way. Lori came and prepared a beautiful breakfast, we ate outside every morning. Saturday she took us to 5 wineries, she knows them all, we got to barrel sample at 2 places with the winemakers. We are telling all our friends, this is the best customer service town." Crazy gang from Spokane Sept. 2010
"A quick 4 hour drive from Boise to such a wonderful town & guest house. We walked downtown & around Whitman College to get the feel of the area & then a wine tour in the Cabernet Cab. We were here for the beautiful fall foliage, which added ambiance to our walks. The linens were fresh & crisp, which I loved. Great hospitality and we plan to return in the future. A great weekend get-a-way." The Carpenters, Boise, Idaho / November
I REALLY ENJOYED THE PRIVACY AND QUIET OF YOUR HOUSE, HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE ROOM HERE ON MY NEXT VISIT. MIKE, IDAHO October 2010
Unbelievable wine tour, Lori knows everyone, winery owners, winemakers, and she can get you into some very "off the beaten track" private wineries. Just ask and be ready for a wonderful experience. Linda/ August 2010
My fiancee and I stayed at The Fischer House, it is outstanding. Lori is the most gracious host I have ever met and she is FUN ! On our Wine Tour she packed in as many wineries as possible. She is very well known in the wineries and knows all the winemakers. We sat back and just enjoyed every minute. At the house, she served us breakfast each morning. As you view the establishment, you realize that she's invested A LOT into ensuring each guest is comfortable. The bedrooms are wonderfully decorated. She has the little things like night lights and robes. It is very pleasant. My fiancee and I will return to The Fischer House on our next trip to Walla Walla. Thank you Lori :) Dennis & Heather 10-2009
"We arrived at the Fischer House weary after the long drive and we were welcomed by our gracious hosts, starting our weekend in wine country. We stayed in The Master Suite with all the comforts needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Every detail has been paid attention too by our generous host. They were eager to offer up suggestions for activities and were very knowledgeable to the happenings in Walla Walla and the surrounding communities. The Winery Tour was "over the top" going to some really outstanding wineries. Lori & Dennis are truly in their element of hospitality. Thank you for a fabulous time."

"Had a wonderful weekend in Walla Walla at the most delightful Fischer Guest House. After two nights, I am totally comfortable in the Vintage Room with familiar objects from my past all around me. The Volkswagon bus I once drove, the hats I played "dress-up " with out of my grandma's bureau, the furniture I bought when I first got married back in 1973. I bought a lovely Strawberry wine that truly tasted and smelled like fresh plucked strawberries, ask Lori the proprietor where to find that wine. Lovely weekend, will come again." J. Fay, Bryant, Washington 2010
We can't say enough about Walla Walla, The Fischer House was booked but Lori got us to meet another B & B owner and we stayed there. We did book a wine tour with Lori, four crazy girlfriends and Lori fit right in with our group. She took us to two private wineries, we even met Tim Kennedy from Don Carlo Wines & Tim's Cascade Potato Chips. Loved it. Thank You Walla Walla, thank you Lori. July 2010
A fantastic weekend at The Fischer House, we booked it last year and again this year. We had the whole house and it was fabulous. Lori says in order to tour all 160 wineries in Walla Walla we will need to keep coming back. This year she took us to 5 wineries for private tastings. It was so special & the weather perfect. Breakfast each morning at 9am, then a walk downtown. We are booked for next October. The October Gang, Campbell's, Moore's & Hopkin's 2011
Thank you Lori and Dennis for a great weekend in Walla Walla. Great house and a great tour. We loved meeting Tom the winemaker at Balboa and Beresan. I think that was our favorite place, having lunch there and the great wine. wonderful.

Why the Owner Chose Walla Walla
We purchased here because of Whitman College, Walla Walla University and the incredible Wineries. Owner's Map of Walla Walla
I am an ex school teacher. In 2008 my husband and I made a change in our lifestyle and got out of the traffic & hustle bustle of the Seattle metropolitan area. We started to think about what we wanted in our new home, topping the list was a college town so we could keep current on the arts, music and theater. We also wanted nice weather and a community we could be involved in. We visited Walla Walla for the first time in June of 2006 and that was all it took. Walking the Whitman College campus, visiting numerous wineries and seeing what this small quaint town had to offer, we decided to start planning and make the move. It took two years, but we did it. We own The Fischer House, it is a beautiful guest house just 5 blocks from Main Street. We also run Winery Tours and offer the house for private meetings, small gatherings and wine tastings. We love it.

We recently spent a long and leisurely afternoon touring the valley with Lori's luxurious wine tour. Complete with air-conditioned immaculate van and detailed down to the plantings in the field narrative---it was utterly relaxing. Lori is personally known by close to every winemaker in the area and was able to get us behind the door in several exclusive venues. We barrel tasted with the best. Our group was composed of 7, and Lori helped us feel comfortable and enjoy conversation to the extent that we will be getting together with one of the local couples at home, soon. She kept track of each wine purchase and packed them up for us accurately. She recommended restaurants, museums and experiences which I'd like to hit the next time through! The lunch she packed was enough for two meals and quite delicious. We enjoyed it in a beautiful setting under the shade. The next morning she impressed us with a custom made large country breakfast served in exquisite style complete with individualized attention. All this while her husband played sweet Gershwin tunes on the piano. Her guesthouse is lovely with loads of amenities and charm. Don't miss an opportunity to experience Lori and Dennis's gracious hosting and care. You won't regret it.
Owner response:It was a hoot having guests from all over the area, all of you got along and really became friends on your mini-vacation to Walla Walla. Dennis and I look forward to having you visit again, there is a bit more wine to be found here in Walla Walla. We're saving some for your return trip. Namaste!

We stayed at the Fischer House for 5 nights Monday through Friday. We stayed in the Master Suite which was so comfortable. Enjoyed sitting in bed, drinking coffee, and enjoying all of the details which Lori so thoughtfully placed. As it was the middle of the week, we had the whole house to ourselves, which made it feel like "a home away from home". Lori graciously let us store our wine in the house so it wasn't exposed to the still warm temperature in September. It is ideally located close to downtown and within easy walking distance to some really great restaurants and tasting rooms. We did not take Lori's tour, but got to see her in action when we ran into her at Three Rivers. She is such a genuinely fun and gregarious person. I'm sure her wine tours are great. We look forward to another Walla Walla stay at the Fischer House.

We recently stayed in the Master Suite at the Fischer House on Egan. We loved it. Lori, our host, was fantastic, she thought of every little detail. We also took her wine tour and visited some top notch wineries and Lori's guidance and information added immensely to the overall experience. It was a very memorable trip and one we hope to duplicate again in the future!
Owner response:It was wonderful to have you and your friends. We hope you will return year after year. Take care, Lori Fischer

My husband and my self stayed in the master suite at the fischer house and found a very lovely room awaiting for us. when we booked our room we had made some special request's which were awaiting for us as we arrived. the fischers had thought about all of our needs & were very gracious hosts. the house itself is nicely appointed and within walking distance to all of the entertainment venues in town and many wine tasting rooms. if you are interested in the local wineries the fischers also own a van and offer tours of the wineries. we had such a wonderful time at the fischer house that we will be going back in the fall for another stay as the house was lovely and the fischers we wonderful host.
Owner response:I think the best fun is looking for those great deals at our local Yard & Estate Sales. Jim & Eva you are great fun. Cheers and here's to more good finds. Lori

The hosts of The Fischer House on Eagen St. are very gracious. We stayed in the Music room. It was over the top comfortable. Every detail had been thought of including our pets that travel with us when ever possible. The breakfast was sensational arriving to our room each morning. Lori gave us a list of happenings over the weekend as well as neighboring community events. The tour to wineries was our favorite experiencing the fruit of the valley and enjoying good conversation.
