Southern PALM is a Quaint Town home located within the prestigious gated community of the ‘Truman Annex’ in Key West’s ‘Old Town’ area. This home has just been completely remolded with all new furniture and also includes TV’s, washer/dryer, pots & pans, towels & linens, central air conditioning, ‘private’ parking, and access to the Associations pool. While this home has a completely furnished kitchen, it is a widely accepted practice in Key West to avoid its use during your stay and dine out.
The first thing you will appreciate when entering this home is the open floor plan. The first floor, with its newly remodeled kitchen, together with a breakfast bar, dining area, ½ bath and spacious living room that opens to a patio is your first indication that you have truly arrived in Paradise. .
The second floor has a beautifully outfitted Master Bedroom, complete with a Queen Bed and private balcony. The Guest Bedroom is conveniently furnished with two single beds that may be combined to form a king bed. It too has its own private balcony. The full bath is fully stocked with all the towels you will ever need after a day at the beach.
The highlight of this home, in addition to the spacious living quarters, is the large rear patio which is beautifully landscaped and is the ideal spot to for that morning cup of coffee or tea, a leisurely afternoon visit with friends or a place to wind down the day.
Dining and entertainment is accomplished with a quick, two-block walk to Duval Street or you may choose to enjoy the Key West Sunset Celebration every night at Mallory Square, which is a short 5-block walk. Sun bathing is available either in the Associations private pool or you may visit beautiful Fort Zachary Park beach, only 400 yards away.
This home has everything needed to give you the entire Key West Experience at an affordable price.

Why the Owner Chose Truman Annex
I was visiting a friend who's parents married during WWII in Key West. It only took one visit and the second day of that visit to know that Key West was a special place and where I wanted to spend time
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Everything is within walking distance. You get great exercise without even feeling like it. A stroll down Duval is 1 mile each way, a walk to the Historic Waterfront and strolling back can be a couple miles, walk 4 blocks to Kelly's on the way to Mallory Square for Happy Hour. The list goes on and on. I take a car but I bet I do not put 50 miles on it the entire winter unless I am going to No Name Pub on Big Pine Key.
