Barefoot is a safe and well maintained golf community in North Myrtle Beach and within 5 minutes to Barefoot Landing (House of Blues, Alabama Theater and lots of shops and restaurants) and of course the Beach. Barefoot Resort has 4 championship Golf courses as well as a Marina, tennis and swimming pools.
Why stay in a hotel room when you can stay in 2 bedroom full equipped golf villa? 3 TV's sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch. Balcony overlooking the fairway. Neat as a pin! Close to the Beach but away from the hustle and bustle of all those high rise condos. Great place to take a walk or ride a bike yet so close to the action of Barefoot Landing and the Beach.

Year Purchased: 2008
As Canadians we enjoy the hospitality of the people in the Myrtle Beach area. Of course , it is a pleasure to get away to the warmer climate but also there is so much to do that we never find the time to do everything planned. Hence we like to return. As we are not yet retired we decided to share our place and offer a good deal to fellow vacationers.
Why the Owner Chose Wedgewood
Barefoot resort is a planned development similar to those in Hilton Head with 4 golf courses, tennis, swimming pools close to the condos, a marina and free shuttle to the beach which is a 30 minute walk from our condo. It is a quieter neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Ocean Drive and Hwy 17 yet easily accessible to Barefoot landing with all of it's shops and restaurants. There is SO much to do in the Myrtle Beach area, something for people of all ages. The great variety makes it attractive to all members of our family so we decided to make this our primary destination for a vacation.
The Unique Benefits of this Golf Villa
The condo faces southeast so in winter we get the sum from early morning to mid afternoon. Even on cool days it is warm on the balcony. Barefoot is a beautiful resort development within walking distance to Barefoot Landing and the intercoastal. Makes for a nice walk to the shops and restaurants or just a stroll along the intercoastal. It is a rather long walk to the beach but Barefoot provides a free shuttle if the beach parking is full. We also enjoy heading to other beaches like Sunset beach for a little getaway but you really don't have to use your vehicle if you so desire. The condo is a newer unit, built in 2000-2001 and in good shape. Compared to the condos at the beach it has more square footage so you don't feel like you are in a hotel room. Rather it feels like home.
