With lovely views over the surrounding countryside and hills, this traditional, detached villa with private swimming pool lies within walking distance of the village of St Quentin la Poterie with its shops and cafes, ideal for supplies of fresh bread and croissants each morning.
The house is set in about 1/3 acre of private land that is not overlooked. There is ample space to play boules, swim and lounge by the pool, whilst leaving plenty of shady spots to be explored. There are plenty of options for outdoor dining with seating for up to 12 people by the poolside.
The accommodation is spacious, tastefully decorated in a traditional style, and extremely well-equipped. The house has proven extremely popular with families with young children, as well as larger parties of adults. The hallway leads to a large well-equipped kitchen (as it is our home off-season), perfect for preparing those sumptuous Provencal meals. There are five bedrooms, four separate bathrooms, including one shower and three baths/showers. The conservatory doubles as a games room, equipped with table tennis and table football.
We have 3 double bedrooms and 2 twin rooms. The master bedroom, the Vielle Provence room, has an ensuite bathroom with roll-top bath, wet room and double basins, as well as a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool.
Nearby Uzès has an excellent twice-weekly market and a wider selection of shops and restaurants, as well as an interesting old town to explore. Not far away, the Roman aqueduct at Pont du Gard is a remarkable sight and a must to visit. The property benefits from its proximity to the TGV rail station at Avignon and the airport at Nîmes, both about 45 minutes drive from the house.
