Decadence meets comfort in this elegant four bedroom, three and a half bath home situated in the premier golf neighborhood The Highlands. It provides all the plush amenities one would expect of a luxury rental combined with all the conveniences of home. The home provides exclusive privacy as it sits on a one acre lot, as do all the other homes in the community.
The entrance opens to the Great Room, adequately named as the expansive windows and vaulted ceilings create a truly striking first impression of this opulent mountain lodge. The floor-to-ceiling windows face the Tenmile range drawing you in and inviting you to cuddle up next to the fire and watch as the sky changes color over the mountains. Or venture outside to the deck and feel even closer to the mountains while taking in the uninterrupted views of Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. The vantage points from this home are tough to beat!
Once you are done admiring the vistas, wander into the gourmet kitchen that will immediately encourage you to entertain. It is outfitted with two ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks, and a Viking six-burner gas stove. Each appliance was included to ensure that whipping up family favorites is a breeze or that your professional chef has everything he needs. There are also two dining areas; one is a more casual breakfast nook great for small meals with the family while the formal dining room boasts a beautiful wooden table and original art.
There is also a private study with Wi-Fi and a printer for those who may unfortunately have to work while enjoying their beautiful vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado. But it may be hard to work too much, because the stunning views of the snow covered mountains will call.
Upstairs, the master suite is designed to make you feel like royalty with a wood sleigh bed inlaid with custom design and topped with soft sheets and a surplus of pillows. And no need to rush out of bed as you can enjoy the spectacular views of the slopes with the combined warmth of the fireplace and the plush comforter. Or enjoy a peaceful glass of wine on your own private patio while you watch the sun set. There is also a walk-in closet and a full bath with a jetted tub and separate steam shower for two so you can rejuvenate your tired legs in style.
Back downstairs the lower level opens to the entertainment room which is outfitted with a full bar and seating for four. As to be expected of a lavish home, all of the necessities to make a great cocktail are provided. This room also includes a pool table, shuffleboard, fireplace, I-pod dock, and two TVs. Lastly, the French doors open to the private patio and hot tub beautifully set under the expansive sky providing exquisite views of the Tenmile range.
On the same floor is the mini master suite furnished with a Queen bed, walk-in closet and full bath which includes an oversized tub and separate shower for two. The next bedroom is furnished with a four-poster queen bed topped with soft sheets. Lastly, the bunk room is decorated with a twin/full bunk, allowing three children to sleep comfortably.

Why the Owner Chose Highlands
A very common line around here is “we came for the winter and stayed for summer”. I can’t tell you how many “locals” say they came here to experience just one season of fun on the slopes before returning to the “real world”. Five, 10, 20 years later they’re still here! Some tried to leave and ended up coming back thinking that retirement was just too far off! Breckenridge is an adult's playground. With or without children, there are numerous activities and events to keep all ages happy.
The Unique Benefits at this House
I visit this property regularly and know it about as well as I know my own home. I can tell you that my favorite aspect of this home is it’s magnificence! I think ‘space’ best defines this home and I always thought it would be a great place for a family reunion. The rooms are large as is the furniture. The ceilings are high providing an airiness and brightness to the main level. The windows are numerous so the views are incredible. In addition, on the lower level there’s a bar with pool table, shuffle board table, TVs, Nintendo,and access to the hot tub. It’s perfect for a large family because of the distinct and separate living spaces. This is definitely the sort of home that makes you feel like you’re on vacation because you can settle into and enjoy it as much as all the outdoor activities…the real reason you come to Breckenridge.

We are Pete and Imane and we own a small vacation lodging business called Book Breck Lodging. We manage several homes here in Breckenridge for second homeowners. The advantage of a small management company over renting directly from a homeowner or from a large resort is that we are on location and accessible.
The best part of the job for us is that we get to meet people who also love Breckenridge or who are about to experience it for the first time. We each fell in love with this town because of the variety of things that it offers. It's a small town with a big personality. It offers the charm, quaintness and history typical of a small town, but combines the liveliness and variety of different fun and adventurous activities, high end restaurants and shopping, and year round community activities. It’s the perfect balance of two worlds that has created a laid back and fun place to be. We have yet to meet someone who hasn’t fallen under the Breckenridge spell!
Sometimes we just talk to our guests on the phone. Sometime we’ll have a glass of wine with them and really get to know them. It depends on the guest and if they prefer privacy in their vacation home away from home, or if the have time to sit down with some locals. Either way, we want our guests to think of us as their friends in Breckenridge who they can come visit again and again.

We love Breckenridge! Spending our vacation in this beautiful home was wonderful. Pete and Imane, your personal service was greatly appreciated! Highlights of our trip were the cattle drive at Rusty Spur Ranch, an incredible dinner at Modis, Mary's Mountain Cookies (love them), seeing the start of the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race and the 4th of July parade and fireworks in downtown Breck. We had a great time, as always!
