Yes, it's true! Mickey's Hollow is located at the end of Magic Way, that leads you to the Disneyland tram station or Downtown Disney where you can board the famed Monorail into Disneyland if you have your Disney Passports in hand; the perfect location for getting out and back to the "Park" with minimum hassle.

But, location isn't all Mickey's Hollow has to offer: a newly remodeled 1000 sq ft. modern style town home, beautiful greens, 4 enclosed pools, including a large spa, which makes a pretty sweet location to view the nightly fireworks, an enclosed playground for the kids with top of the line equipment, garage and stall parking, internet access, dish network; everything you need for a great vacation is within a block of you. But, just in case you want to putt around town, we've included a GPS and "The Entertainment Book" for your sightseeing enjoyment. We've tried to think of everything you might enjoy, including a DVD video library, coded entry so you don't have to worry about the keys, ipod docking station, classic board games and children's toys. A stroller is even available, and a 2 person WII gaming system!

We are proud to present Mickey's Hollow as a full service "home" alternative to a pricey hotel "room" at an affordable rate. Perfect for families on a budget who still want the frills. We are even in the process of installing an herb garden, organic tomato plants and a banana tree! How fun to walk out on the patio and pick your own bananas!

Across the Street from Disneyland

Year Purchased: 2008

Why the Owner Chose Anaheim

It's just a 20 minute drive from our own house, which makes it a nice spot for our kids to get away for a day, hit the park for a while, watch some DVDs or just go swimming. We don't have a pool, so that's a perk for us. Also, this complex is very quiet day and night (aside from the fireworks, of course) and has a resort feel without all the people.
There are a lot of memories at the Disney resort, being a semi-regular haunt for years (grad nights, birthdays, days we should have been in school), and we're still creating new one's with our growing family. We hope to extend that opportunity so you can share your memories, too!

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

Our header says it all; it's across the street from Disneyland! Since our debut on VRBO, the most asked question is, "So, exactly how close to Disneyland are you?" Well, it's as close as you can get without being inside the resort proper: directly across from the Disneyland Hotel and the ginormous parking structure that costs $10 to park, a 7 minute walk to the Disneyland tram, 10 minutes to Downtown Disney (restaurants and all), around the corner from the Convention Center (1 mile exactly), and all without paying to park. The "park," as it's known locally, is a world destination. And since it's existence, Anaheim has been in a constant state of up-grading, from famous restaurants to famous ballparks. If you must drive, then take advantage of Downtown Disney parking (not theme park parking). It's free for 3 hours (5 with validation from a restaurant).

A
Parking Stall #16

This is your parking spot

B
Downtown Disney

Parking is free for up to 3 hours, and up to 5 hours with validation. Restaurants, Movies, live music. The Grand Californian Hotel. This is the long way to the main gates, or if you have your passes,

C
Disneyland Tram 1

A 7 minute walk from Mickey's Hollow. You can save about a minute or two by paying $10....I didn't think so. This is the tram that gets you as close as you can get to the main gates.

D
Disneyland Tram 2

Drops and picks up here. Takes you back to "C". Disembark and make your way left on Downtown Disney and you will come to the main gates.

F
Entrance to Grand Californian Courtyard

This is sort of hidden just before Jamba Juice on the right. We have enjoyed many hours of our lives sitting, drinking and talking by the hearth. Say hi to Hugh or Jamie at the piano. They take reque

G
The Monorail Station

This is the hot ticket if you already have your passes. Just show your stubs and you're on your way to Tomorrowland. No lines. Our favorite way since we are annual pass holders.

H
The fire hydrant

Right when you see this. Make your way toward Mickey's Hollow.

I
Disney Way

The road that begins the Disneyland Resort and takes you to the tram or Downtown Disney. You will need to cross Walnut to get here. This is not a busy street. It's actually a relaxing walk..with well

J
Monorail Tommorowland Station

You're sweet destination if you boarded at Downtown Disney. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE SCHEDULE if you plan to take the monorail back to Mickey's Hollow. They don't run during fireworks and Fantasmic.

K
Disneyland Main Gates

This is the main entry to Disneyland. Stop for a photo op with some of your favorite characters.

L
Our Resort Pools

These pools are gorgeous. The spa alone is about 10 feet in diameter and always warm. There's a general pool, a wading pool, and an adult lap pool on the far left.

M
Entrance to Tram Parking

Turn left here and make your way toward the tram.

N
Bayou Brass Band

If you should happen upon this motley crew in New Orleans Square, make sure and say hi to drummers Frank or Dean. Everybody has a name tag.

O
A popular Disneyland Band venue

The smaller ensemble gets out in front of the castle later in the day sporting neon colored costumes. If you should see Mark playing flute, say hi.

P
The Dapper Dans on Mainstreet

Lots of our friends sing with them. Look for Daniel, Gabriel, or Drew. They like to play with the audience, so watch out!

Q
The trolley

If you're lucky, one of the instrumental ensembles will jump on the trolley with you and serenade you all the way down Main Street!

R
Tom Sawyers Island

Newly renovated along with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. There's a swarthy pirate band as you get off the raft. Say hi to Matt for us on the accordian. This attraction closes early each d

S
Space Mountain

This is where Chris used to play "back in the day" and where Chris and Crystal first met...aw, how romantic!

T
Carolers

During the holidays, you can often find carolers on Main Street. This is where Crystal used to perform.

U
Grand Californian Lobby

The best place to relax at the resort after a long day in the park!! And during the holidays, look for our carolers: they are wearing red and green plaid.

V
Entrance to California Adventure

Usually less crowded. Has a lot of stuff for the younger kids.

W
Aladdin

Full theatrical production in a beautiful indoor theatre. Really nice on hot days. Lots of friends in this, including Anne who is a featured soloist and Liz, who is a dance captain.

X
Drawn to the Magic

A cute "street" show that has so many friends we know in it: Ryella, Laura, Heather and Jason, to name a few.

Y
Pat E Cake

If it's your birthday, this is the cutest place to celebrate with our good friend Pat E Cake (aka Scott). You get your very own birthday cake to decorate, and Mickey and Minnie come to celebrate too!

Z
Kids play area

We just found out about this last year. It's a great kids play area with things to climb, slide down, run around and look at, and even has a zip line!!

Owner's Map of Anaheim

Both of us have so much history at Disneyland. We both worked there on and off as entertainers in various forms. Crystal used to sing on Main Street with the Townsfolk Carolers, was a Disney Diva for a special event, and manages a caroling company that Disney contracts for their hotels and resort. Chris first started working in the park in the early 90's playing synth for a futuristic space band in front of (then) Mission to Mars and Captain EO attractions (Space Mountain/ Honey I shrunk the Audience), played the 40th Anniversary Show (for a year and a half....), and opened the new Grand Californian Hotel as one of the pianists there for 5 years. There's a lot to look back on inside the main gates, along with several of our friends who still entertain there; pianists and storytellers at the Grand Hotel Lobby, Pat E. Cake at the Pavilion for the Birthday shows, The Dapper Dans, and band members and singers all around the "park". And even now with 14 years of marriage and 4 kids, there's still a lot more of those memories waiting to happen.
We are always popping into Mickey's Hollow on off-days to enjoy a mini get-away. We hope you will enjoy Mickey's Hollow and consider it to be one of your many cherished memories, too! - Sincerely, Chris & Crystal

PS Here's a picture of Crystal and the kids at the Grand Californian with Santa. It's gorgeous there during the holidays...

    • My husband and I were taking a group of teens to Canada for a missions trip. We decided to go take the teens to Disneyland for a day seeming that all of them have never been and may never ever get the chance to go. I contacted Crystal through VRBO, the prices for Mickeys Hallow were perfect for our group, we were on a strict budget seeming that all the money we had was what the kids had raised to go on the trip. We arrived in the afternoon after a long 12 hour drive. The moment I walked into the house it took my breath away! It was a beautiful fantasy dream house! The pictures were beautiful but in person the house was just amazing! Every inch of the house had a special touch. After we arrived we made some chicken on the grill. We then went in the pool and watched the fireworks from Disneyland! When we went back to the house the teens watched a movie from the vast selection of new movies in the house. The next day we took the teens to Disneyland, it was such a close walk! It was wonderful to have the option to go back to the house and take a nap and eat some lunch! The House was soo beautiful and gave us and the teens soo many good memories that we will be sure to cherish for a lifetime! Crystal was soo helpful and always there to answer any questions that I had. If my husband and I ever get the chance we will for sure visit Mickey’s hallow again! It was a delight to stay there!

    • We found Mickey's Hollow through the VRBO website, and decided it would be perfect for our 1st Disneyland vacation. Having all of the comforts of home was fantastic, I can't imagine trying to live for a week in a hotel with out room for everyone! We have Three kids and we were all able to relax, my husband even watched the playoff games, while the kids watched a movie and was able to read my book. The pool was wonderful, we enjoyed it very much, probably the one thing the kids will miss the most!! The best thing though was the proximity to Disneyland itself. We were amazed at how close it was, we were able to walk there and back, we choose to go to the monorail, and not feel exhausted. Some people at hotels were so much farther away. Thank you so much for making our first stay so memorable.

    • We decided to stay at Mickey's Hollow for 8 nights this February/March, and have only wonderful things to say about the condo, location and Crystal's hospitality. Our family of 4 spent 3 days at Disney, and the other 5 days travelling around L.A. The convenience of having Disney across the street was fabulous. We walked across to the tram every morning in only a few minutes. It was also easy to pop back over to the condo to change into warmer clothes for the evening or for a quick bite to eat. Anyone who has been to Disney knows the food is not cheap. While we did eat at Disney for some meals, having another option was terrific. Not having to pay to park our car at the park was also a bonus. The parking spot at the condo was great. If you want to see anything other than Disney on your trip, renting a car is a must. We found that many hotels charged extra for a parking spot, so it was lovely having that included in the rent for Mickey’s Hollow. The benefits of staying in a condo quickly outstrip a hotel. There was room for the kids to play without worrying that we were disturbing other hotel quests. Two bathrooms made getting ready in the morning twice as fast (not to mention handy when you get back after a long car ride!). Having a second room for the kids made bedtime much, much easier. They LOVED the bunk beds too! The laundry room was appreciated by us too. We were able to pack half as much stuff knowing we could wash clothes halfway through our stay. The full kitchen was wonderful for preparing the occasional meal. Who wants to have to eat out everyday for a week? Sometimes you can not put a price on a quiet evening at home. And Mickey’s Hollow did feel like home! From the moment we walked in we felt at ease. The décor was lovely. The kids got a huge kick out of the Mickey Mouse towels in the bathrooms. The big bear was quickly named “Bingy” by the kids, and they played with him everyday all week. It was a bit cool for us to enjoy the pool, but it looked great. We did use the hot tub though. Very nice after a long day of walking! The children’s playground was still under construction, but from what we saw of the new structure, it will be a kids dream come true. The beds were very comfortable, and for the first time ever I had a good nights sleep on my first night of vacation! This was our first time renting on VRBO, but Crystal made us very comfortable with the process and we are more than willing to try it again. She was always easy to get in touch with for our many questions, and very pleasant at all times. I would (and have been!) recommend Mickey’s Hollow for anyone staying in the Anaheim area. It is ideal for families, but also for a couple looking for a bit more comfort that a hotel can offer. We will definitely stay at Mickey’s Hollow next time we are in Southern California. Thanks again Crystal! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Mickey’s Hollow. Amber & Family
