Nestled in a forest of pine and birch trees, 'Sundown Lodge' is a cozy mountain retreat with access to an abundance of outdoor activities year round. The Lodge is located in Roslyn Ridge, a vacation community minutes from Lake Cle Elum, the historic town of Roslyn, and Suncadia Resort. Roslyn Ridge is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by mountains. Snowmobile to your door with the Cle Elum Ridge trail only minutes away.
Sundown Lodge is set on one of the larger, more private lots in Roslyn Ridge, with the backyard facing the forest. Watch the scenery from the wraparound porch, hot tub, or in the cozy living room by the gas fireplace. Deer and elk are frequent visitors near the forested area behind the cabin. For snowmobilers, trails can be acccessed from directly behind the cabin without the need to ride on snowplowed roads.
The lodge has plenty of space and is great for gatherings of family or friends. The two main floor bedrooms each have a queen bed. There's an additional two queen beds in the upstairs sleeping loft for a total sleeping capacity of eight. For larger groups there are additional cabins for rent right next door that can be arranged.
The living room, dining room and kitchen is one great room with high ceilings. The lodge is decorated in a cozy, western theme with pine furniture. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. Outside there is a deck with a hot tub, a large backyard area with a grass lawn, a picnic table, an above ground fire pit, and gas BBQ.
The lodge comes with access to the Roslyn Ridge Activity Center, just a short walk away. This new facility has a large outdoor pool and sunning deck, hot tub, tennis courts, basketball court, beach volleyball, shower/locker room facilities, conference room with free WiFi access, exercise bikes and more!! Entrance to the Roslyn Ridge Activity Center is $5 per guest per day. The Roslyn Ridge Activity Center is open only in the summer season, opening Memorial Day and closing the end of September.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Wenatchee National Forest is just down the road offering snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hiking, and horseback trails. There are many trails with amazing mountain views and alpine lakes. Lake Cle Elum is close by for boating, fishing or relaxing at the beach and nearby rivers are great for rafting, kayaking, or tubing.
Suncadia is very close by with world class golf courses and restaurants. The nearby historic town of Roslyn, where Northern Exposure was filmed,offers several great restaurants including the famous Roslyn Café and the Brick Tavern. There are also some historical sites, a wine shop offering frequent tastings, and an old-time movie theatre.

Three of us ladies headed over to Cle Elum for a work retreat but we never expected it to be such a delicious escape! The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin was so welcoming and nicely appointed. We discovered a very well stocked kitchen as we cooked dinner. As far as work, we set up our computers on the front porch and enjoyed the warm air and scenery. At break time we took a much needed walk and explored the surrounding areas. All three of us wished we had more time so we could enjoy that fabulous pool. Everyone was in agreement that it is a spot to return to with our families. Thanks so much for sharing.

Went snowmobiling for 3 days and needed a place to call base camp. This house worked perfectly. Home was clean and comfortable and kitchen well stocked. Driveway was a little icy, but it was winter! Had dinner at the #3 Saturday - good food. Looking forward to staying here again and bringing friends

We took the cabin for a weekend last october for my birthday celebration. It was one of those beautiful fall weekends with the colorful foliage around, still warm during the day to take strolls and cold enough at night to turn on the fireplace and play games. The owners were really nice and easy to deal with, gave us clear directions of the place. The cabin has everything you need if you like to be self-sufficient and cook meals and stuff. Has washer and dryer,too, if you want to pack less clothing. The lake is about a 5min drive, we had our dog super tired every afternoon. You will find cafes, restaurants, groceries nearby at Roslyn. The food is pretty impressive at the Brick for a sportsbar, and if you like fresh brews, you should pick up beer from the Roslyn Brewery two blocks from the Brick. We had a great weekend, and will be back for sure. Highly recommend it for any age groups.

Great family getaway. Exceptional clean (like new) and well stocked with all of the feelings of home. Neighbors were very friendly and the kids enjoyed playing outside in the snow. Very convenient access for our snowmobiles as well. Great value and highly recommended. We will definitely be staying there again soon. Thanks!

Stayed here in November to take my kids to play in the snow. The good: pictures are accurate. Backyard is nice with view of trees. The bad: the loft was a little dirty, my 3yr old discovered some bugs to play with up there under the beds. Pictures don't show that there is a house about 20ft away and there are no curtains on the front door or loft so people can see right in. No good place to watch tv, living room tv mounted too high above the fireplace. We ended up watching movies upstairs in the loft and sat in the beds. Driveway not plowed and road down is steep, so I would recommend an AWD/4x4, otherwise you'll need to park about 50ft away if there is snow. Kitchen did not have much for cooking meals and coffee maker not working. I don't think the owner had been to the place since the summer. With a little more attention I think this place could be nice but I probably would not stay here next time.
Owner response: Review is inaccurate, these guests damaged my property and I kept part of the deposit to cover it. The kitchen is fully stocked and the coffee maker works. I go there myself every month. I have never had a complaint about cleanliness in fact quite the opposite.

Hi - we wanted to say thanks AGAIN! This was the second stay at your cabin...The first was with a boyfriend, and the second was when my mother came to visit. We had a great time both times. The area is a hidden gem and I LOVE it there. There is so much to do for the outdoors lover....it really is a winter wonderland. And if you are not the outdoors type, you can't help but appreciate its beauty from the cozy indoors near the fire. You cabin truly was wonderful. I can't wait to find a time to return for the summer and enjoy that gorgeous outdoor pool - it is huge. I'll definitely be returning. Thanks for allowing us to experience your cabin..and the area in general. Cheers

The cabin is new and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fully outfitted and we were able to cook our meals there. The music system has an ipod dock so we could listen to music we brought. One side of the property is bordered by woods, but the other sides are surrounded by other homes in the Roslyn Ridge community. So if you're looking for a vacation home isolated in the woods, this doesn't quite fit the bill. The Salmon La Sac area is nearby with lots of outdoor things to do. There's a pond out back with quite a frog community that delighted several of the folks in our group. All in all, a very nice place that I'll likely come back to.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+.
