Owner was not timely in giving instructions to enter condo, even after knowing our travel plans and having received full payment for two weeks rental plus security deposit. Incorrect information given as to idenity of lock box with key at condo. It was not color coded with red tag as instructed. We were then required to try several boxes using owner's combination until we found correct one. Access code for main front door to condo was never given. Due to this, we were never able to enter the front door to access elevator to condo unless we used our car and entered from garage level. This meant that everytime we went out for a walk, to get groceries, or out to eat, we would have to return to condo using side door to unlighted staircase to second floor. It was beyond inconvenient. Most of available closet space was full of ower's belongings. Head board was not attached to bed. Condo kitchen, bath, living room tv, wireless were fine. Security deposity deposit was finally returned six weeks after we checked out. This was after many requests and reports of being lost in mail. Location was convenient.
Owner response:I give the instruction right before check in for security reasons. We have put bright yellow tape on the lock box to fix the issue We have just purchased a new queen matress for the condo and removed the headboard. Regarding the front door, I checked with the building management and the code is the same for the last three years. I also checked with neighbors and they said the code was working fine in Feb. I have used the same instructions for the past three years and this is the first guest that had trouble with the instructions. It could be a user issue or they did not read the instructions . I checked with all the guest from May until today (July) they have had no issues with gate code. The closet space is stocked with beach chairs , beach blankets, sleeping bags ,cleaning supplies and a vacum for our guest to use. We also have a full walk in closet that is empty. We do not keep personal items at the condo so feel free to use the items. Regarding the deposit so it is clear she is talking about the $500 check that we do not cash. Most guest just have me rip it up after their stay and I send a photo of the ripped check by email. It did however get returned to me by the USPS because of the rain and I sent it right back. The entire process took about a month. I think this got her very nervous and she talked about giving me a poor rating.

I spent the entire month of March in this wonderful condo and did not want to leave. The unit was in great shape and is very quiet and cozy. It is within walking distance of everything in La Jolla village which I found especially nice. I would highly recommend this condo and would definitely stay there again.

Hi Jennifer, We had a terrific time on your appartment. Our stay was just wonderful!... My wife liked it so much she now wants to go SD in our summer break, I don't know about that, but we will probably try to do it again next year for the holidays break. Best regards, Fernando
