Pamper yourself in this serene oceanfront oasis, away from the noise and dust of Todos Santos, where the magnificent sunrises over the Sierra de la Laguna mountains to our east often outperform our spectacular sunsets. Watch the whales and dolphins from the privacy of the second-floor shaded terrace of your casita. Relax by the pool with a book from our large selection. Stargaze from a two-person hammock. Cool off or swim laps in the 45-foot lap pool, with the Talavera-tiled outdoor shower and bathroom nearby. Wiggle your toes in the warm sand of our private beach or doze in a hammock under the shade palapa. Enjoy a margarita poolside, relaxing at the bar of our palapa-covered outdoor kitchen with BBQ, where you cook the fish you caught today.

Your casita provides you with complete privacy and features a custom kitchen with marble countertops, fully equipped including full-size refrigerator and stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender. Although the casita is technically a studio, the sleeping area is completely separated from the living area by a low wall, providing some added privacy to both areas. The Talavera-tiled bathroom has a large shower and a handpainted Mexican sink. We also supply a hairdryer and cozy terrycloth robes for your comfort. The spacious walk-in closet gives you plenty of storage and a safe area for your valuables. Our gated property provides ample secure parking.

Our guests often tell us they enjoy being close enough to Todos Santos or Cabo San Lucas to enjoy what they offer, but love coming "home" the the serenity and privacy we provide here.

There is tennis nearby. Private yoga or classes are also available. Enjoy a massage in the privacy of your casita. Other spa treatments on site can be arranged.

Our beach is a natural nesting ground for the protected sea turtles. You are invited to participate in the release of turtle hatchlings.

  • AMAZING -! my little casita felt like home immediately. Melanie and Guenter are the perfect hosts, there when you need them and just wonderful people. the beach is fantastic and private. I would definitely go again and will recommend this home to others. i cant say enough about the gorgeous setting, the pool, outdoor grill and dining area, all of it was picture perfect.

  • Villa Puesta del Sol is a beautiful retreat. Much has been said in other comments about the long, beautiful beach in front of their property and the fantastic whale watching from their home but it really needs to be experienced to be fully enjoyed. Melanie and Guenter are excellent hosts and friends to their guests. They cheerfully provide everything you need, including privacy. I would not hesitate to stay with Melanie and Guenter at Villa Puesta del Sol again!

  • Villa Puesta Del Sol is my FAVORITE vacation spot! It's exactly what's described. "Pristine beach" is a understatement! I loved sitting on the beach watching the whales and wildlife for hours.... Melanie and Guenter were great! Boris and Guenter went fishing together a couple of mornings right in the in their front yard. They know how to be the best hosts. They are there and then disappear in thin air! We felt like we had tons of quiet time and privacy. I can't wait to come back!

  • Fantastic! We spent a week in February as Melanie and Guenter’s guests. To start with they are absolutely fabulous hosts. We felt more like friends, than guests. We had time to ourselves, yet they were there for our every need. The casita was clean and comfortable, the pool and the views were wonderful. We spent many hours walking the beach that we felt was our own, with very few others to share it with. We spend easy time in Todo Santos, and had fun in Cabo. We had lots of quiet time when needed, yet we also found time to explore when we felt the urge. We enjoyed gorgeous views of the whales, the ocean, and surrounding terrain. Highly recommended!!! Ed

  • We stayed at Villa Puesta del Sol for the first time last Spring and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guest house is very clean and comfortable, provisioned with everything you could possibly need. The beach is as beautiful and pristine as pictured, miles and miles with no one around. Melanie and Guenter are the most accommodating hosts, providing local knowledge and company if desired or disappearing into the background if you prefer more privacy.   • Theresa and I love staying at Villa Puesta de la Sol. The casita is clean and well maintained, offering everything you could possibly need to enjoy peace and relaxation. We love the proximity to the ocean and to Todos Santos. Being able to whale watch from the porch is the best. Having boogies boards available when we're looking for a bit of excitment is a nice bonus too. We appreciate Melanie's efforts in ensuring that we saw the turtle hatchling's release this year and look forward to returning again and again.

  • We had the most amazing two week stay in January 2008 with Melanie & Guenter. The house is amazing with incredible views; comfortable; airy;every convenience; and privacy. The pool and tanning area is incredible; relaxing and awe inspiring watching the whales and sea life from the deck. The beach, absolute heavenly! And the best part of all is the wonderful friendship struck with Melanie & Guenter! We are back in a weeks time for a three week stay! Can't wait!! David & Cathy

  • We stayed at Villa Puesta Del Sol for a week and it exceeded our expectations. The unit is well sized for a couple with a large walk through closet, spacious bathroom, great kitchen area with a spectacular ocean view and counter to eat at and comfortable & immaculate living/sleeping area. Your hosts Melanie and Guenter find the perfect balance of being there for you and giving you the space that you need. The whale watching is unlike anything we have ever experienced- forget about a whale watching cruise- there is no need- you can view them from the window or walk down to the beach and be blown away! Speaking of the beach- if it's romance you are looking for- take the time to have a bonfire on the essentially private beach ( we saw 2 people in our entire week and 1 of them was Guenter!) Other highlights included cooking some fresh seafood that M&G had delivered for us, the short drive to Todos Santos for some great restaurants!, Amazing Sunsets from the balcony and boogie boarding at a nearby surf spot.

  • We have stayed with Melanie and Guenter many times over the years. We have watched whales from their terrace, gazed at stars, wandered on the beach for miles. Their casita is well appointed, sparkling clean,and comfortable. Melanie and Guenter are gracious hosts, and go the extra mile for their guests. We no longer feel like guests, we feel like family.
