  We loved our stay at Villa Puesta del Sol! If you are looking for a place to stay near El Pescadero / Todos Santos, it doesn’t get any better than this. The casita is charming and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and we used it for most meals. The bed is comfortable and the studio layout was actually better than having a separate bedroom. There was a big walk-in closet and nice-sized bathroom; there was plenty of room for the two of us. The pictures on the website are accurate but you will like it even better when you see it in person. Echoing the other reviews, the whole experience is even better than imagined because of Melanie and Guenter. They absolutely think of everything to make your stay enjoyable. They greeted us with welcome cocktails and on our last night we shared some sparkling wine in honor of the beautiful sunset. We really enjoyed our time spent with them, they are very interesting people and it was fun to get to know them. But, they are also very keen to your privacy and seem to strike the perfect balance. We enjoyed the local beaches and Melanie and Guenter had beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler to use for our outings. The fisherman returning with their catch at Punta Lobos was really interesting and the short walk into Playa Las Palmas was pretty. All of the beaches were beautiful but our favorite was “Playa Guenter”, right in front of the house. Other activities included massages and yoga we booked ahead of time. We loved both so much we booked again later in our stay. We spent plenty of time lounging around the beautiful pool reading. We also loved exploring Todos Santos, shopping and visiting some galleries. We had Melanie buy some fish from the fishmonger so it was waiting for us on arrival. We stopped at the supermarket in Cabo on arrival day but really enjoyed buying local at Que Rico, Lizarraga (produce), and the tortilleria. The new liquor store in Todos Santos had a good selection of wines and El Sol had just about everything else we needed. We also enjoyed several restaurants in town; La Casita, Los Adobes, Las Fuentes, and especially a wonderful dinner at Michael’s. Also, don’t miss coffee at Baja Beans and the margaritas at Gardenia’s! The casita and Melanie and Guenter are just the best. We are looking forward to returning.

  Our week at Villa Puesta del Sol was simply wonderful! Melanie and Guenter are fabulous hosts and provided us not only with everything we could need in the villa but also outstanding companionship. From welcome drinks to showing us the local coffee house, Melanie and Guenter provided a wealth of information about the Todos Santos area and offered to arrange anything we might wish to do in the area, including restaurant and snorkeling trip reservations. Our snorkeling trip from La Paz was one of the highlights of our stay; swimming with sea lions and viewing dolphins and humpback whales was amazing! We also loved boogie boarding at Cerritos Beach; Melanie and Guenter graciously provided us with boogie boards, cooler, and towels to enjoy our day there. The sound of the ocean waves lulled us to sleep at night. This was a relaxing getaway. We loved the privacy and being away from the crowds. Thank you so much!

  A very "charming" Casita, located just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Hosted by the very "charming" Melanie & Guenter, this . If you desire the perfect big city escape, you've found it. The only noise you hear is the sound of the waves crashing, quite relaxing. Located approximately 9 KM south of Todos del Santos BCS, and 40 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas, this location is the perfect spot to accomodate your relaxing, dining, and party needs. Despite the fact that mother nature was not on our side with the temps, the exceptional hospitality from Melanie and Guenter was more than enough to compensate. Highlights from our trips: the AMAZING SUNSETS, the whale migration, just yards from the beach (Awesome) , the stars (Amazing).... What an Amazing trip, and thanks to M&G for making a great trip better !! Cheers !!!

  Our experience at Puesta del Sol couldn't have been better. The casita was charming and spotlessly clean with an amazing view and the sound of the ocean waves to lull us to sleep. The palapa with barbecue gave us a chance to grill the wonderful seafood Melanie ordered for us before our arrival. After a difficult car rental issue and a late arrival, Melanie and Guenter were waiting with welcoming drinks and snacks to help soothe our souls and help us begin to re-orient to our new relaxing, stress free, lifestyle on their beautiful oceanfront property. Melanie and Guenter were the perfect hosts: from arranging a trip to snorkel with the sea lions on Espiritu Santo Island to dinner reservations and suggestions for the wonderful restaurants in Todos Santos, to places to see in Cabo and the East Cape. They were available when we needed them and unobtrusive when we wanted privacy. We don't know how they managed to intuit the difference, but they always seemed to know what to do. We can't think of a more wonderful place to temporarily call home; whether you spend your time out sightseeing, or walking on the beach or just lounging around the pool Melanie and Guenter make it the experience of a lifetime.

  We were greeted with big smiles, drinks and a very warm welcome. We felt at home as soon as we arrived at "our" casita. The casita is very comfortable, well taken care of and clean. Melanie gave us some pointers on where to buy food before arriving so we were able to stock up with some items to cook at home. Melanie and Guenter are the most helpful, friendly hosts we have ever met. They arranged massages, gave tips on where to eat and where to visit. Both willingly answered what seemed like our millions of questions. We really enjoyed getting to know Melanie and Guenter and spending time with them. We now share their love of Todos Santos. The beach here is beautiful and quiet. We saw so many whales right from the balcony! Todos Santos is about a 10 minute ride from the house and it is a nice little town to explore. There are little shops and great restaurants. Melanie told us about releasing turtle hatchlings which we did 2 times during our stay. It was a wonderful experience and we will do it again! I love to travel and have a rule that I don't go back to the same place more than once. There are only a few places that are on a "special list" that I will go back to. Todos Santos is at the top of the list. We can't wait to go back. We LOVED this place!

  If possible, we would give this location six stars! We spent 10 days seeing a lot of whales and dolphins from the beachside. Melanie and Günter were charming hosts giving us a very comfortable stay including a lot of useful tips what to do and where to dine. Everything in this house is perfect! We will come back for sure.   I had actually looked at this place over the past year and when I was finally able to take a trip, it was the first place I thought of. I’m so glad I did, our time here was incredible! It was just the type of vacation we were looking for; sun, beach, adventure and FOOD! Having the local fish monger come with his coolers of fresh seafood was just perfect. We made several meals at the Casita which was well equipped and had everything we needed. We also had many delicious meals all over the place, including an exceptional dinner at their favourite place in town. There is so much to explore in the area and most of our days started with a morning trip to Baja Beans for a perfect Americano. We did a mix of lounging at the casita, rooftop pool at a hotel downtown and the beautiful (& private) Los Palmas Beach nearby. We also took an amazing day trip to the other side of the peninsula passing through the quaint town of El Triunfo. No matter what we got up to it was always a pleasure to return back to our quiet home and fall asleep to the waves crashing on shore. Thank you Melanie and Guenter for being such fabulous hosts and providing us with everything we could possibly need. Your thoughtfulness and recommendations made our trip truly memorable. It was just simply a perfect vacation!

  When I was looking for a place for my husband and I to celebrate a very belated honeymoon in Todos Santos I came across this place and thought, "This is exactly what I am looking for!" Working with Melanie planning our trip was a dream come true. She offered suggestions and made us feel so comfortable traveling somewhere we had never been before. Once we arrived, the location and our Casita exceeded our every expectation. It was beyond beautiful and we were welcomed by our hosts with cocktails and snacks. During our stay we buzzed around the area quite a bit, but coming back to our Casita was like coming home. Melanie and Guenter were always there when you had a question and they welcomed us into their home for and amazing Christmas dinner. If you are looking for an immaculately clean home, with everything you could possibly need, inside safe surroundings with an amazing beach, come here. You may find a piece of my heart I left behind. We look forward to returning and seeing our hosts that became our friends... Sorry we never got to run with you Guenter.... Next year! Melanie thank you for being amazing and giving great advice on what to do, where to shop and places to go. We couldn't have asked for more!!   The title of this review says it all...Villa Puesta del Sol is truly a magical destination. Much of this is thanks to the wonderful owners/hosts, Melanie and Guenter. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms into their little slice of Heaven...welcome drinks, local tips and warm hospitality. During our stay, they took care of EVERYTHING, from setting us up with fish from the local fishmonger to tips on their favorite restaurants to directions and suggestions for what to do in the local area to setting out fresh towels at the pool each morning. There is nothing that they don't think of to make your vacation perfect. And the house/area itself...spectacular! We've travelled the world and this stretch of beach is truly one of the most peaceful spots on earth. Each day, we were greeted by pods of migrating humpback and grey whales...so close to our beach that you could almost touch them! If there are two other people on this 5-mile stretch of beach - that's considered crowded! If rest is what you desire, you won't find a better or more beautiful spot to get it anywhere. We are surfers, and the Todos Santos area has many great surf spots in the winter time. To be able to wake early and surf in the warm waters of the Pacific and come back home to swim with whales is something that you just don't find many other places. Todos Santos is about a 10-15 minute drive from the house, and is referred to as 'Pueblo Magico' - Town of Magic...for a good reason. It is so charming...art studios and excellent restaurants abound. If you want to escape the madness of Cabo San Lucas and wander through a truly old-world artisan town, this is the place for you! Villa Puesta del Sol itself is kept to Melanie and Guenter's impeccable standard of cleanliness and comfort. The place is immaculate and they have thought of everything that you may need...right down to a great book/dvd collection or extra pillows/blankets, etc. All said - thanks to Melanie and Guenter and their wonderful home, my wife and I had one of the best vacations of our lives - so great that we are leaving the US and moving to the Cabo area! We will definitely be staying more often at Villa Puesta del Sol and would absolutely recommend it to everyone! Thanks, Melanie and Guenter for the vacation of a lifetime...we'll see you again soon!   This place is just exactly as it is described. Only one thing that was missing--the seasonably warm weather!! The week we chose was unusually cold--the whole West Coast was having a cold front but we absolutely enjoyed it anyway. Melanie is the perfect hostess! She knows the area very well and will make many suggestions for places to go and things to do. We wanted a vacation that was interesting and wanted to really see the culture, I highly suggest this little casita! It has all the comforts of home! The bed was very comfortable, plenty of blankets and towels and a dressing room/closet that connected to the bathroom that was private and also was a nice safe place if you wanted to leave any valuables. Falling asleep at night with the slider opened with the sound of the ocean to fall asleep to was awesome. The casita was immaculant and if there was anything we needed or wanted, Melanie was right there to provide. It felt as though we were the only people that ever had come for a visit! Melanie sent us to a turtle releasing at sunset one of the first nights we arrived, which was spectacular. One day we planned on going to one of the swimmable beaches but it ended up being a cool day, so with Melanie's suggestion we ended up taking a trip into the mountains into El Trifancato--which was about an hour's drive from Todos Santos. It was an extremely interesting little town and the highlight was a bakery/pizza place that was absolutely delicious. Saturday morning after our arrival, we went to meet the fish monger to pick up fresh fish for the week, There are plenty of markets to buy fresh organic yummy produce and organic meats which Melanie directed us to. We went into Todos Santos on Friday night after our arrival to have dinner to a place Melanie had suggested. It was simply delicious. There are plenty of restaurants in Todos Santos and little stores and shopping. We mainly chose to do our own cooking in the fully equiped kitchen. Mornings consisted of a relaxing walk on the very private beach. The afternoons were hanging out at the pool (even though it was a bit cool!) and having lunch on the lanai of the casita. Gunther managed to find us a frisbee to play with on the beach and even though we didn't end up having a bonfire, there is a little area that is set up to do so. The sunrise and sunsets are glorious and everything perfect. We wish we were still there! The best part of our trip was making two new friends!!
