Just a quick get-a-way to relax for a weekend. A-1 place that is spotlessly clean and well-supplied. Beautiful view of the water. Close to all areas in the Thumb Region of Michigan. We would stay here again.
Owner response:Thank you. We are glad we could share the cottage with you. We love the location too. Hope you saw a freighter or two go by (and a deer in the yard).

We recently spent 48 hours at this delightful cottage and couldn't have been more pleased. It is absolutely charming and the setting is so serene. It is also conveniently located to get out and about to explore the surrounding small towns if you so desire. We were able to drive around the thumb and see so much in such a short span of time, it felt like a much longer vacation than just two days! An added bonus (and a real must for us) is that our two dogs enjoyed it as much as we did. A fantastic spot for them to run, play, explore and just have great dog-fun. Highly recommended......

We had a great time staying at the cottage. The firepit was great -- we had a fire every night we were there. The backyard is spacious and our dogs loved running around. The house is very clean and modern on the inside. It felt like we were staying at our second home, but had the comfort and cleanliness of a hotel room. This definitely was a relaxing week away from the city, and we hope we are able to make it back.

My stay of two weeks was more than I could have hoped for. The pictures are true to life, nothing photo-shopped. The house was clean, cool, secluded, peaceful. Plenty to do if you want in Port Austin, just 15 miles north, with beautiful beaches, small town diners, ice cream shops, and people. Be sure to rent a kayak and enjoy the lake. Or stay home and relax by doing nothing. Don't waste time watching t.v. or you'll miss the deer in the yard, or the coyote that might run by not seeing you standing by the fire pit!! Couldn't have been more perfect and I'd like to do it again next summer!
Owner response:We are so happy you enjoyed yourself at the cottage. Thank you for the great review and we hope you can come again. I have to admit, I was impressed that Bob could “cue” the deer, but I didn’t realize he could cue coyotes too. Sincerely, Bob and Sue
