Renovated in 2007, this public beach has new bathroom facilities, basketball court and children's playground with the latest in swing sets and jungle-gyms. There is also a boat launch for either South Bar Lake or Lake Michigan.
Located in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, this area offers spectacular hiking and sight-seeing opportunities (including a trail-head directly across the street) as well as world class golf, kayaking, fishing, kiteboarding and a multitude of other outdoor activities. Just a short drive to Interlochen Center for the Arts make is possible to take in some first rate live music. For those who prefer a bit of city life, Traverse City has a surprising diversity of activities and cultural events such as the ever-popular cherry and film festivals.
