Scout’s Landing is located in Keene Valley – only 15 miles from Lake Placid – a world class destination with the charm and allure of a small mountain town.
Kitchen and 2 Outdoor Decks: The chef’s kitchen has Viking appliances, two sunken copper sinks, a six burner gas range, soapstone countertops, two ovens, and two dishwashers. Two porches (north and south) offer stunning views of the mountains and valley. Additionally, the southern porch has a large grill perfect for cooking outdoors.
The Main Gallery Room: The main room has a bar, pool table, large flagstone fireplace, as well as dining area with authentic farm table and colorful bow back chairs. The layout of the great room, including its proximity to the open kitchen, allows for easy entertaining and living.
3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms: The Birch Room contains a beautiful mural of birch trees and rolling hills painted by artists from the Rhode Island School of Design; additionally, it has its own bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi tub and breathtaking views of the mountains. The Moose Room contains paintings, antiques and a bear-skin rug as well its own bathroom complete with claw foot tub, and shower with dual shower heads. The Angler Room has antique fishing reels and rods as well as an extensive private collection of poetry. The angler room’s corresponding bath has pebbles on the shower floor and has a large hand-made birch mirror.
Business Center: Scout’s Landing has wireless, high-speed broadband internet access, as well as a small business center where you can send and receive faxes, make photocopies and print. Additionally, there is a flat panel television complete with a DVD player.
