This was our third stay at Tim's home, and it was the absolute best vacation we've had in the Keys...gonna be hard to beat, but we are booking again in 2014. We spend 2 weeks each year in Marathon - this year was picture perfect. Photos of the home are accurate, but space is actually larger than it appears in the pictures. Each bedroom has nice linens and ample closet space. You have the best of both worlds by the pool - enough sun if you want to tan up, and shade under the palms if you prefer. Fridge on lower level is handy for a cold beverage without climbing the stairs. If you have little ones, get a cheap pole and some silversides and they will have a blast catching right from the seawall. Look out for the houndfish - they are toothy critters. We also recommend a trip to Islamorada to Theater of the Sea or even the Dolphin Research Center if you need something to do for the kids - try booking a swim with the dolphins. Snorkel Sombrero Tower or Coffin's Patch or spend a day at the Sombrero beach. If you desire adult time, have brunch at Little Palm Island off Big Pine Key. You take a tender from the mainland to Little Palm (only way to get there). A little pricey, but an experience you won't forget- simply incredible. We still love Frank's for the delicious food, and the Island Fish Co. and tiki and Cabana Breezes for waterside dining and atmosphere. Walgreen's and the Walgreen's liquor store are only 2 blocks away in case you need something in a pinch. Thanks again Tim - see you in February 2014!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The pictures only tell half the story on how beautiful and awesome this house really is. This was actually my first trip to the keys and what an experience it was. I and several co-workers rented this property form November 10 - 17, 2012, and didn't want to leave. Sitting by the pool at night was so peaceful and relaxing. Having a Jacuzzi after a long day was awesome. We got a lot of use out of the pool table and the screened in upstairs patio was a plus. The rooms are very spacious. I would recommend this property to everyone who wants to stay in an awesome house while visiting the Florida Keys. The property owner, Tim, was awesome and easy to deal with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a fabulous experience! You weren't kidding about the manatees; I bet we saw about 7 different individuals, including a mother and a fairly young baby. We were mesmerized! The house was just perfect for all of us. We were able to rent a boat, keep it at the dock, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area in all aspects. The house was neat as a pin, and easily accommodated all of us in comfort. The beds and furnishings were comfortable and provided luxury without being too fancy to relax in-perfect for an island retreat! The bathrooms were luxurious, spotlessly clean and had plenty of hot water! The weather was delightful, just a bit cool in the mornings, with sunshine and the right amount of warmth during the day. Water temperatures were perfect-The kids spent the whole time fishing or lobster catching. After the day on the boat, we spent the evenings in the heated pool or glorious hot tub. The hot tub may be one of the best features of the house! You can sit in the hot tub and marvel at the moon and stars shining through the palm trees. It takes your breath away. One of the boys even strung up his hammock between 2 of the palms and slept outside-it was that lovely! If you are fortunate enough to stay here, you'll enjoy every moment. The owner was more than helpful, extremely informative and the house is kept in excellent shape. The linens and towels are top grade, the location perfect as it's on a huge corner lot of the canals, just seconds away from the Gulf and around the corner from Vaca Key and across to the Atlantic. There's plenty of restaurants in the area, and the owner gives you great reviews to guide you in deciding where to eat-However, since both my husband and I LOVE to cook and the fishing is spectacular, we ate all our meals at the house. We probably used that kitchen more than most, so that may be the only MINOR negative, in that the cooking and serving items are not geared for real cooks and for serving large groups. That is usually the case in rentals, so we typically bring our own things. The huge screened porch, multiple tables and kitchen bar made meals a comfortable family gathering in a casual and relaxing environment. It was the best vacation we've been on in YEARS, and we hope to make this spot our annual get away. LOVED IT>Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My family and I have vacationed in The Keys several times before, but no other place we've stayed compares to this house. This house definitely spoiled us for all other locations! The cleanliness, location, amenities, boat dock, the space inside and out made for the best vacation we've had in The Keys, yet. Between the pool, hot tub, pool table and even checking out all the life in the canal, we really had a lot of fun when we just stayed at the house. The owner was very easy to work with and he provides a great list of places to check out. The next time our family vacations in The Keys, we will definitely be contacting Tim! Thank you again, Tim - we had a fabulous vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My fiancee and I arrived at this beautiful home in mid October, with 2 other couples and my son and his friend. we were looking for something large enough to accomodate us and our friends and family but still have our own privacy.. This home was perfect! We had our private bedroom with our bathroomon the otherside of the house, It was like a diamond in the rough! Perfect location on the corner of the canal, great for fishing for the guys and lounging by the pool for us ladies! The guys caught 50 -60 fish on the first day, not so lucky on the second( I think the fish caught on)..we did not get to see the manatee but were visited by an adolescent nurse shark!! The photos we took after our wedding by the pool were lovely, perfect setting for a fun filled getaway and close to everything. We took Tim up on some local eatery suggestions and were not disappointed. The only issue was when we arrived the waterfall in the pool was not running, so we called the pool guy, he was there within the hour, no problem! We will definately be back! Thanks Tim!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This home is beautifully situated on a corner lot that has a great view of the gulf, but still the niceness of having protected water for the boat. The pool and hot tub were perfect amenities for being lazy after being out on the water all day hunting lobster. This home is large and has a perfect layout for families or couples. It's conveniently located in the heart of Marathon and close to everything. We will definitely be staying here again in 2013. Thanks Tim!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a gorgeous home! We have rented this 2 times now and this year was even better than the last time. The home is better that described and has lots of room for everyone to spread out. Everything is very clean and taken care of very well. My daughter especially loved being able to catch fish in the canal and see and pet the manatee. Docking is perfect for a 26 foot boat and we had no troubles getting in or out of the canal no matter whether it was low or high tide. Owner is also very helpfully and I really appreciated all of the local dining suggestions he gave. They were all fantastic! We probably would have never went to them or been able to find some without his suggestions and info. We found several new favorites because of his suggestions. We will defiantly rent this home again!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

This house is everything it is described as and more. We had a fantastic week of relaxing in the Keys, and would recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away. In fact, we have already booked a week for next year. Living space and bedrooms are very spacious, the screened porch is ideal for lounging and eating meals outside, and the pool and hot tub offer all you need for outdoor fun. You can't go wrong if you pick this house for your vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I live in Ohio, but I love to vacation in Marathon... I love everything about it. Most people rent their houses out an average of 18-20 weeks... I rent mine 49... and stay there the other 3.... because of re-peat renters and referrals.
Why the Owner Chose Marathon:
I vacationed in marathon for years. I rented houses that looked good on the web, but didn't live up to the billing. So I thought 'I could do better'...
'My husband and I stayed at the Palm Breezes in Marathon with 3 other couples. It was a wonderful experience - the house is spacious, very nicely decorated, and has all the luxuries of home. We loved the waterfall pool and spents hours in it daily. We caught a large fish in the canal, and even enjoyed eating some of the coconuts we found on the ground. A+ rental.'
Cynthia Dennis, Beaufort, SC
'I had my wedding at Palm Breezes House. The house is spacious. My entire family was able to eat indoors when the rain started (28 of us). The house is a 'home away from home'. You can tell this is personal to the owner... not just an investment. There are pictures of past renters on the walls. Tim said he was going to post our wedding picture so we could come back to see it.
