A quiet and roomy get away for two or more the Bird House is pet, family and couple friendly.
You are just a short walk to Cresent Beach to see the wild life or rent a kayak for a peaceful paddle. Fifteen minutes of walking and you're in "down town" Eastsound. You can get to Orcas Center for top notch entertainment, the Farmer's Market, Seaview movie theater, the grocery store or a wonderful selection of restaurants or shops in no time. It's only a 5 minute walk to the convenience store and a short drive to Moran State Park. There's a new Land Bank walking trail just around the corner.
The large, fenced yard with seasonal flowers for cutting invites you out of doors to enjoy the view of East Sound, BBQ or play games on the lawn. Kids and dogs love to explore safely outside.
The roomy living/dining room area looks over the front garden and off to the waters of East Sound and is a great area to visit and play games.
The large kitchen opens to the family room with its cozy propane fireplace where you enjoy reading, listening to music or watching movies.
The king bed room looks out to the back yard and has its own large full bathroom. The queen room looks to the side yard and has an attached bath with step in shower.
The Bird House is a comfortable, centrally located place to NEST while exploring the many wonderful activities and areas on Orcas Island.

Orcas Island is a beautiful, rehabilitating destination with options for an active or relaxing vacation. It's a charming community with great food, wonderful walking trails, swimming in lovely lakes, kayaking or sailing, entertainment at the Orcas Center and other venues and darling shops.

Clyde and April have lived on Orcas since 1990 and are happy to share a small piece of "Heaven's Back Yard" with our guests.
We raised our 3 children here and have had a roofing company on the island since 1991. We are active in our community's fire department, Orcas Center and other organizations.

Our first trip to Orcas Island and it's a real gem. Gorgeous scenery, wonderful outdoor opportunities whatever you like to do, easy to negotiate around the island, delicious dining experiences. And the Bird House made it all the more enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, well equipped-everything as described in the listing is exactly what's there. The location is ideal as it's so convenient to town and yet day trips to anywhere on the island, and especially the spectacular Moran State Park are just a short drive. We're hoping to make next summer's visit longer. Thanks to our attentive and great hosts!

We just returned from staying 4 nights on this property. It was very clean, and has a lovely garden as a plus. We enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery on Orcas Island. We would highly recommend this rental. It was very close to Eastsound, which had many quaint restaurants and shops. the photos shown are accurate in the description of the rental. If we ever get up that way again, we would not hesitate to rent it again. Thanks!
