Pet friendly, family friendly or just couple friendly lodging on Orcas Island, the Bird House is a quick walk to Crescent Beach to view wild life or rent a kayak for a peaceful paddle, a 15 minute walk to "downtown" Eastsound, a couple of blocks from a convenience store and only 10 minutes drive to Moran State Park. The Land Bank has just created a new walking path near the house.
We have a large, fenced yard with seasonal flowers for cutting, room to park an RV or small boat. There is a west facing view of East Sound. Live outside in the summer with outdoor furniture and a gas BBQ. In the cooler seasons there is a cozy propane fireplace in the family room to enjoy while reading, listening to music or watching movies.
The home has a living/dining room area which looks over the front garden and off to the waters of East Sound, a large kitchen attached to the family room, a laundry room, plus two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Bird House is a comfortable, centrally located place to NEST while exploring the many wonderful activities and areas on Orcas Island.

Orcas Island is a beautiful, rehabilitating destination with options for an active or relaxing vacation. It's a charming community with great food, wonderful walking trails, swimming in lovely lakes, kayaking or sailing, entertainment at the Orcas Center and other venues and darling shops.

The Bird House is within walking distance to town and has a beautiful, flower filled yard. The home is roomy, yet cozy and has indoor and outdoor living.

Clyde and April have lived on Orcas since 1990 and are happy to share a small piece of "Heaven's Back Yard" with our guests.
We raised our 3 children here and have had a roofing company on the island since 1991. We are active in our community's fire department, Orcas Center and other organizations.
