Maricopa is located 20 miles south of Phoenix next to Chandler, Arizona. Maricopa has many restaurants all located within 10 minutes of the house.
Arizona is a great place for a vacation during the winter months. There are many activities for you to enjoy such as the Cactus League, Fiesta Bowl, FBR Golf Open, NHRA, Rawhide Western Town, Casinos, "The Duke" Golf Course is just across the John Wayne Parkway!
Tucson with "Old Tucson Movie Studios", the Cold War Missile Silo Museum, The "Bone Yard" where old planes are mothballed, are at a short day trip south. 60 minutes away. The recently discovered Karchner Caverns are about 2 hours away but well worth the drive!
Going north, Phoenix is just 20 miles away with "The House of Flame" fire engine museum, the Phoenix Zoo, countless Golf Courses and every major sporting event. 30 minutes away.
For longer day trips see Sedona Red Rocks, Jerome, Prescott, Oak Creek, Lake Pleasant or Saguaro and Canyon Lakes (great fishing and boating). 1 to 2 hours away.
