- Tide pools and surf fishing and mussels off the rocks. Charter boats daily out of Bodega Bay. Crabbing, clamming and pier fishing at Lawson's Landing. Hog Island Oyster Co. in Tomales Bay. Wine tasting and apple orchards nearby. Always a pancake breakfast somewhere in the vicinity, and then there is the Tomales Bakery - not to be missed, but get there early!

We bought this property in 2005 after looking long and hard for a place at the beach. We bought it with other families in mind - families who might want to share in the experience of having a cabin at the beach where they could bring the kids, the dogs, or just escape for themselves.
Why the Owner Chose Dillon Beach
Dillon Beach is a hideaway, one of the last small beach towns on the West Coast. There is a good cafe in town for both breakfast and dinner, a small store and post office, and a wonderful bakery close by in Tomales. It is a pleasant drive, it is a long clean beach surrounded by hills and rocks, it is breath-taking view. It is everything we wanted.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is tidepooling and crabbing and long, long walks on the beach. Oysters are grown and sold nearby, and there is always an excuse to stop on the street and talk to your neighbor.
