Walking across the sand and rocks, and stepping into this cabin on the edge of Vancouver Island is a dreamlike experience: watch the waves crash at your feet, see the beaches and snowcapped mountains from the deck.
Our octagonal cedar cabin, rimmed with windows, perches on the island's outer coast, anchored to the rocks with chains. A wrap-around deck with thick rope railings and pots of vibrant flowers provides views of ocean, islands and distant beaches and mountains.
The galley like kitchen area includes a footpump for water and a propane four burner stove. The dining table overlooks the Sound, while the sitting area nestles around a woodstove/fireplace. There also is a pantry and icebox, a propane heated outdoor shower, a propane barbecue, and a composting toilet. In this romantic cabin for two, choose to sleep either in the loft with double bed, or the new bed-sitting room, both with views.
Stroll along a two mile white sand beach... Paddle to Tofino... Bicycle to Long Beach... Kayaking in Clayoquot Sound is magnificent... Abundant fishing, crabs, and mussels... Resident bald eagles... No microwave or dishwasher, but awesome beauty in a rare setting.
