My husband and myself spent close to 5-weeks at the Chalet in the Woods and had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious, comfortable and in a quiet setting. This was our third trip to Crystal River and living in this house during that time made it very relaxing. The owners were easy to contact and helpful with minor issues that developed during that time. The kitchen was well stocked with anything one would need to prepare meals. Living room furniture was very comfortable and larger size flat screen tv was great. Plenty of bed linens, towels and cleaning supplies. Having the two single kayaks at our disposal was great to get out at a moments notice and do some kayaking. Bicycles were also available on the property. We would certainly return to Crystal River and rent this house.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Ahhhhh! Just returned from a wonderful week in Crystal River and this Waterfront Chalet in the Woods. House is great; open, airy. Bedrooms offer privacy and a bath in each. Full moon through the skylight was a bonus! Spent quality time "in the trees" on the deck. Ibis and Cormorants visited the dock. I took the kayak out four days, up the canal & out into the salt flats. Fantastic! The house is very convenient to viewing manatees and sunsets within 5 miles. Loved the house and Crystal River. Hope to stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
