The Tailwind buildings have been carefully and sustainably constructed using many renewable and local materials and other environmental practices (rainwater collection, greywater recycled to gardens, and more).
The Tailwind house is located on five acres of majestic jungle that is directly on a white sand beach. One of the bedrooms has a delightful ocean view, the others are nestled into the jungle.
Tailwind guests enjoy a personal kitchen, several dipping pools, meandering jungle trails and a rooftop deck for spectacular ocean vistas. Along with your stay at Tailwind comes insider knowledge of the secret spots of the area--secluded beaches, fine restaurants, jungle vistas and more. As well, you also have direct access to a wonderful sea kayak, hike and surfing guiding service. These tours are simply not to be missed when exploring this coastline.
The Tailwind guides have invaluable knowledge of this spectacular area and are also happy to direct Tailwind guests to local markets, cultural attractions, local organic gardens, environmental conservation non-profits and more.

Year Purchased: 2007
Tamara Jacobi is the co-founder and manager of the Tailwind lodge. Tamara has lived in San Pancho, mexico for the last two years and is in love with the jungle! She graduated with a degree in Environmental Economics from Middlebury College in 2007 and didn't think twice before moving to San Pancho and building the Tailwind lodge using the principles of sustainability. Tamara is very proud of the lodge and she will greet you when you arrive!

When my parents bought 5 acres of land here outside of San Pancho I knew this was the opportunity to build the jungle home of our dreams! We have fallen in love with the community of San Pancho and the natural world of this coastline. There is simply no place like this. It will take your breath away, something that you can't understand until you come and visit!
