The Monarca is a Five Star Condominium Complex located on Ixtapa (Palmar) Beach. Extremely large meandering pool set among mature palm trees and impeccably maintained tropical landscape.
Your choice to sunbathe on the beach or sit amongst the Palms (also on the beach) for some shade. Relax and enjoy the magnificent atmosphere as you lounge in your reserved beach chair and watch the dolphins play in the surf. Join us nightly as we watch the sun sink below the Horizon against a sky painted with pastels of pinks and blues, as we end another wonderful day in Paradise.
But wait, you have a grand evening ahead of you. You are within a five minute walk of downtown Ixtapa with a plethora of indigenous and ethnic restaurants to choose from each evening.
Don't forget to plan a short ten minute bus or cab ride to Zihuatanejo (the "grown up" little fishing village) with the central mercantile for shopping, and wonderful hillside restaurants with breathtaking views of the harbor.
Note: You can walk pretty much everywhere in Ixtapa day or night without fear. Of course no place is "sterile" of crime, but everyone feels very safe here in our town (locals and tourists alike).
I will be happy to provide you with answers to your questions regarding restaurants, activities, sports, etc. I have fairly extensive knowledge of the area, and can help to make your vacation one to remember fondly. - Air Conditioning: Our maintenance fees include electricity, therefore you can maintain a cooled interior and not have to return to a hot condo, or worry about mildew due to humidity and heat build up.
- Washer: There is an LG washer/dryer on the balcony. Please remember to place the drain hose in the floor drain before using.

- Linens Provided: Linens are clean and the beds are already made up. You will find extra linens and pillows in the closets. However, since you receive a mid week maid service, you may not need to access the extra linens. You cannot bring the bath towels to the pool or beach. You can rent a white large beach towel for that purpose at the Pergola Club and bar (10 pesos- one dollar). You may keep that towel for the week, or exchange it for a clean towel for ten pesos as often as you wish. When you check out, you may leave the beach towels in the Condo.

- Private Pool: The Pool is built in several sections placed throughout the grounds and connected by two waterfalls. There are various areas for swimming, lounging, and shallow areas for young children to play safely.
- Kitchen
- Full Kitchen: The Kitchen is equipped with coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, and convection oven. There are two large supermarkets in Zihuatanejo just ten minutes by car or taxi (or bus). You can shop for any food items there, or, there is a smaller market (more expensive) right in Ixtapa for fill in and convenience items.
- Cooking Utensils Provided: There is adequate pots and pans for most cooking needs, including collander for pasta. Also tupperware containers for storing leftovers.
- Refrigerator: New large stainless steel refrigerator is more than adequate to keep all your refrigerated food cold and fresh. Also it has a decent sized freezer (much bigger than apartment sized).

- Balcony: Patio table and chairs on Terrace. Can be used for eating outdoors on the Terrace to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

- Telephone: There is an in-house telephone in the condo which connects to the guard at the entrance gate, the staff at reception in the lobby of the building, and the office. You cannot call out, but you may receive outside calls directed to the reception (and they will transfer the call to your condo).
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): Wireless signal can be obtained just inside the sliding glass doors leading to the balcony while you are in the sitting area. You get the strongest signal on the balcony, but it is strong enough to access the internet just inside in the sitting room. Also, you get the signal from the pool and the beach in front of the condo.
