That is exactly what you can get when you rent our Porta Fortuna Villa, known as Zen Casita #13. Porta Fortuna is the newest, most upscale development within Punta Mita and is adjacent to the new 5 star St. Regis Hotel.
Rental of our Villa includes everything you would expect from a top rate resort residence along with all the benefits that come from residing within the gates of Punta Mita. Our guests can enjoy use of both Jack Nicklaus’ signature golf courses (at discounted rates), the fabulous new tennis facility, the Resident’s Beach Club, the Kapuri Beach Club (although it is not fully finished it still offers a nice beach, beverage service and a great place to boogie board), use of our golf cart, and exclusive access to “Playa Fortuna”, Porta Fortuna’s own private Beach Club which offers full service dining from Sufi Restaurant, and an oceanfront pool. It is quite spectacular and the food is excellent.
The Porta Fortuna development is made up of 3 areas of homes. There is a row of Beachfront homes, a row of Ocean-view homes behind those and then 14 Zen Casitas. The land has been meticulously graded so that all properties have wonderful views. The Villas on the golf course side have larger yards and larger pools and since they face the Pacific, they also have a view of the sunset.
Our Villa is approximately 4000SF (indoor and outdoor living space) and offers 3 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The main floor master bedroom has a King size bed, private bathroom with an indoor/outdoor shower and a patio with a weeping water wall. Upstairs is a 2nd master bedroom with a King size bed, its own bathroom, a private balcony with beautiful ocean views and retractable patio doors and it also opens to the main upper balcony. The 3rd bedroom is also upstairs and has 2 Queen sized beds, its own bathroom, and also walks out to the main upper balcony. The upper balcony is 12 feet by 21 feet and offers a great place to gather with friends, take in the sun and views or use the private hot tub. Each bedroom has Four Season’s mattresses, 500 thread count sheets and oversized bath towels.
The Villa has an enlarged private pool, outdoor private BBQ, and 3 balconies. It also has granite slab countertops, 3” solid doors, marble floors, Viking and Miele appliances and a 50” plasma TV with Satellite, offering all the channels and conveniences of home.
Included in the rental rate all guests will enjoy daily housekeeping, use of our golf cart, and concierge services. Our concierge can take care of the details, including… airport pickup/drop off, stocking the villa with groceries, making a tee-time, scheduling a massage, surfing lessons, dolphin encounter, whale watching, having a chef come to the villa or just making dinner reservations. Luis and his staff will take care of your every need.

We stayed at Porta Fortuna villa #13 from Dec 17 - Jan 2nd 2011/12, and loved our stay. (Porta Fortuna is one of the sub-areas within the Punta Mita gated community). Were were a group of two families with two kids (under 1 year of age). The unit is fabulous - the photos dont do it justice. We had breakfast every morning at the table outside the kitchen overlooking the poop / golf course / ocean. We had someone come over every morning and give us private yoga lessons / massages. We would spend some afternoons lazing by the pool (just the right size for kids). We loved the food in the restaurants around - Porta Fortuna has one just a few steps from our unit, called "Sufi" - amazing food, and lovely setting overlooking a beach. The beach club as well had very good food - loved one Pablano Pepper preparation with tuna. We also had a chef come home and cook for us - most of these services were arranged through the concierge on short notice. We loved playing golf, especially since we could take our time, and never felt rushed - the views were gorgeous! The golf cart that comes with the unit comfortably seated five adults and two babies, including all the baby paraphernalia (strollers etc.). The St. Regis was a short drive - and has a lovely beach front, which we enjoyed spending afternoons. The restaurants at the St. Regis and Four Seasons were very good too. The entire time we stayed there, we never once ate a burrito or taco - that's how diverse the food options were (and we stuck to "local" food preparations too!). We went to the village outside the gate a couple of times (ate at Cafe Des Artists - highly recommend), and to Porta Vallarta down town (lovely!) (ate at a vegetarian buffet place - quaint and yummy) - and enjoyed all of it - though we spent most of our time in the unit since we were so comfortable. The daily cleaning service was very professional and never intrusive. Overall, I highly recommend this unit - best of all, service was excellent - everyone responded promptly - we even had to have the doctor make a house call. The only tip I'd like to share is to stop by the Walmart on the way from the airport to do some grocery shopping (bread / eggs / veggies if you decide to cook some meals at home). The convenience store outside the gates is close by, but limited in it's choice of foods. Going out of the gates by cab is otherwise expensive, and takes up half the day (about an hour each way driving). The owners have been super helpful all through.

We had a great time staying in the Gysin's villa at Playa Fortuna. A prestigious property located in Punta Mita, about 40 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. This exclusive, gated community is surrounded by manicured golf courses and panoramic ocean views. Punta Mita is loaded with lots of amenities including tennis, boogie boarding, bird watching, snorkeling, and yoga classes on the beach! All of the above were easily accessible by your own personal golf cart, which came with the Villa! If you go you must dine at the "Sufi" restaurant, which exceeded our culinary expectations and a short walk from the Villa. Another must do is visiting Kupuri beach which had the best waves for boogie boarding and reef for snorkeling! The villa is furnished with luxurious linens and comtempory decor. The hot tub off the master suite was the perfect place to drink margarita's while watching for whale spouts! The villa literally "opens up" with sliding glass pocket doors onto a patio BBQ area with a plunge pool, complete with indoor/outdoor music, and a view of the golf course. If we did need anything we were quickly taken care of by, Fatima, the on site conciege. We hope to go back again soon! Stephen & Nina

We (6 adults) just returned from this property (8/22/09 - 8/29/09). We all agreed we had a great time. As a bit of background, we stayed the the owner's other Punta Mita property last year. That property is a 3 bedroom (plus a bunkroom), 4 1/2 bath oceanfront condo in Hacienda de Mita. We all enjoyed our stay there as well but to be honest, we all enjoyed the Villa more. We loved the design, spaciousness (2 floors), location, and of course, the private pool with the barbecue and refrigerator right along side. Did I mention the 2nd floor patio hot tub? Nice. And what is not to like about Punta Mita itself? Because we had the use of a 6 person golf cart, we were able to take advantage of the amenities Punta Mita has to offer, including 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses (played 3 times), numerous beach clubs, bogey boarding/surfing, spa treatments, nice restaurants (we all really loved Sufi's), etc., etc. And getting there from Puerto Vallarta airport is a breeze. Our stay at your villa exceeded our every expectation. We were there for one week with another family. The villa was beautiful and spacious with all of the comforts of home. We enjoyed swimming, golfing, the sun sets, the zip line tour, grilling fresh fish on the patio, the many great restaurants (we especially love Sufi and Café des Artistes), and just relaxing. One of the children and his Dad also took surfing lessons and loved it! We spent several afternoons at the beach clubs which were fantastic, but we also enjoyed having our own private pool at the villa. The kids played in the pool every day. It was good not to have to pack a bag with toys and sun screen etc. to take down to a pool. We just walked outside in the mornings with our coffee and relaxed and took in the view. The kids ran in and out for whatever they needed and played and swam until we were ready to get going somewhere. The golf cart was really a bonus and we loved cruising around in it. We were able to take it everywhere in the Punta Mita gates and also to the restaurants in the village. We rented cars which we used to and from the airport and to get to Sayulita for the zip line, but next time we will just get transportation from the airport, as we really did not need the rental cars. We will definitely return in the future!
