Awesome House in the Woods! Close to Many Activities!

Beautiful large log home. Built in 2001. Home has 4 bedrooms+loft+downstairs rec room that can be closed off with another pull out sofa. When you get to this house most people have a tendency to just hang out. Covered deck on back, 2 acres of land, tree forts, horseshoes, and a big fire pit for outdoor campfires (even during winter!). We also have direct TV, full surround sound system, 8+ person hot tub on lower deck, and lots of sitting furniture both in and outside the house.
Sit on the deck and watch the wildlife walk by. We are 15-20 minutes from Winter Park ski area, and 10 minutes from Sol Vista ski area. During summer, the 3 lakes of Granby, Grand, and Shadow mountain are about 20 minutes away. Rocky Mountain National Park is within 30 minutes. While all these great things are so close, we find most people love just hanging out at this house. We built it just for that. Large kitchen that is open with dining and living rooms. There is a separate TV/X-box rec room downstairs that you can send the kids if you want!
House is only minutes from Devils Thumb Ranch. When you stay here, you must go over there and check it out. pools, sauna, spa, zip lines, 2 restaurants, bar, horseback riding, sleigh rides, wine cellar,......

We took the family out to WP for an extended Presidents' Day Holiday. We usually stay in Frasier/Winter Park but decided to stay in Tabernash this year because we needed a bigger house and really were drawn to the outside fire pit. The house had plenty of sleeping space and the common areas were quite spacious. The deck even had a little chimnea so we could sit outside and have a warm fire when we didn't want to build something bigger in the pit. The owners were very responsive and accommodating and even mailed us back a very expensive and sentimental piece of jewelry that had gotten lost in the "pack up" process. We would definitely recommend this house to anybody looking at the greater Winter Park area. It was not a bad drive at all to the slopes. 5 Stars and we hope to come back next year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

This home is amazing!! We had so much fun staying at the Mango house during the New Year holiday. The home has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked, we enjoyed cooking lots of wonderful meals through out the week. There are plenty of toys and activities for the little ones to enjoy. There is so much to explore outside. The firepit and hot tub were a perfect touch, and we were visited by a herd of deer just a few feet away from the house, it was such a joy to experience! Plenty of sledding on the property, and lots to do in the near by towns. We went for snow mobile rides in Winter Park, tubing in Fraser, horse back riding and horse sleighing at Snow Mountain Ranch, and skiing in Winter Park. There is so much to do out there, but relaxing this in this awesome home was exactly what we needed!! Thank you so much Mango family, we appreciate all of your help! Your home is amazing, and we can't wait to go back! We miss it already :(Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Our department rented the property for a retreat to celebrate a great year at the company. There were nine adults and two dogs - we had an amazing time. The house was incredibly cozy and we loved having the warm gas fireplace inside and the awesome fire pit outside. We took advantage of a pretty well-stocked kitchen and cooked up many feasts during our stay. The location was perfect as we could enjoy being in the mountains while only a short drive to the ski resorts or other activities (tubing!!!). The house was very clean and a great amount of space for that many adults and dogs. I would highly recommend this property!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you Lindsay! So glad you enjopyed your stay! Shelli

We stayed at the Mango Lodge for a weekend in early November. We had planned on visiting hot springs, exploring the area and doing a lot while we were up there. When we arrived, we kicked back, relaxed and never left the property! We had a wonderful time hiking around the immediate area, playing horseshoes, watching football, playing games and just catching up as a family from our busy and hectic lives. We had a great campfire, relaxed in the hot tub, ate and drank way too much, stayed up chatting and playing cards way too late into the evening. It was a memorable and fantastic family getaway. I would recommend this comfortable property to everyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Three grown children, their spouses and children (3), all met to welcome one home from Afghanistan. It was a wonderful vacation together. The house is so well stocked - don't bring spices - in fact, don't bring anything until you check what is there. Fraser CO has a very excellent grocery store - just minutes away down the hill. There is so much to do in the area - new RecPlex between Fraser and Winter Park - fun water play area for the kids. Winter Park is great fun riding down the mountain on sleds - think luge and panning for "gold". Kids loved it. The Fourth of July Parade in Granby was excellent - no one missed the fireworks. Devil's Thumb Ranch is must go for horseback riding and excellent food - massages, too. Some went there for the Fourth. We loved cooking at the house, kids loved all the games they found there. Cool weather while home was 105 degrees was nice, too. You will love it.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We recently returned from our trip to Colorado and I have to say that this was one of the best trips and best places we have stayed at. THE HOME HAD EVERYTHING TO OFFER...and as one family member stated, "It's so cozy!" Not because it was small but because it was like home away from home. The description listing and photo's could not have been more accurate. Plenty of room for everyone!!! Shelli was quite helpful with recommendations, assistance, advice and help. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. The location was great..you felt like you were removed but yet so close to everything.Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We just returned from our 3 night stay at this cozy property. We are a group of 4 families with children ranging from 8 to 15 years old. Everyone gave our stay a thumbs up! The listing info and pictures are accurate and the owners answered our correspondences quickly. There was plenty of space to spread out or hang together. We enjoyed the nearby skiing, sledding hills, sleigh ride and "always hot" hot tub. Our evening around the fire pit roasting hot dogs and marshmallows was a highlight ... a little like camping in the winter :) We all agreed that we would enjoy staying here again in the future.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We recently stayed at the Mango Lodge with our 3 kids (7, 5, 2) and my father and brother. We loved it! Plenty of space for everyone. Toys/board games/sleds for the kids. My husband and boys loved the fire pit. Cooking was a breeze - they have everything kitchen tool you would need. They even have a pack and play and a booster seat for the table! Tony and Shelli have a beautiful home on with gorgeous views and we highly recommend staying there again to anyone skiiing at Winter Park.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Three families spent Christmas at the Mango house in Tabernash. The house was decorated with tree and lights, ready for us when we arrived (Thanks Mrs. Mango!) .We made full use of the always-hot hot-tub, the huge fire pit, and the surrounding sledding areas. The house was nice, lots of space for the 7 adults and 8 kids to be comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we enjoyed time playing games, and watching movies. Tony was very responsive to my multiple questions via text/email. I would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
