**We have limited space available on the calender for 2012. We can only offer these 4 weeks checking in on either July 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd. So come and enjoy the breathtaking South-West views from our large dock and deck.
Our home is situated at the end of a bay on a beach. Bring your boat and cruise the large pristine clean lake, lots of room for docking boats or other watercraft. The dock, deck and firepit areas have lots of chairs and loungers. The dock has a picnic table and a gazebo for the shade.
The house boasts a new kitchen with stainless appliances and all the amenities. Outside the kitchen there is a 600 square foot deck and barbeque, speakers on deck and kitchen controlled by volume controls at each location. The three bedrooms have all new linens and pillows. The den has a new pullout bed. Wireless internet and cable TV. Grocery stores and restaurants are a five minute drive. Championship golf courses, bungee jumping and river tubing & wineries all with in a 30 minute drive.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Cowichan
With both major airports & ferries located in Nanaimo & Victoria, you can be at Sunset beach within an hour of being on Vancouver Island. They call it Sunset Beach because we have one of the few properties on this gigantic lake with a western exposure. We live on a very pristine beach on Cowichan Lake, on one side of the beach lies Spring Beach. It has a natural spring & has a couple of forest trail that loop through the rainforest. The Cowichan River is nearby it is also famous for it's fishing & tubing on a nice day.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We all love to lounge about on the deck or the dock on a nice summer day, my family & friends truly enjoy being out here. We love to cook & BBQ, we enjoy dinner on the deck when we can. We live on a fairly quiet part of the lake. The lake is 26 miles long so there are plenty of places to go boating.
When you enter the Town of Lake Cowichan there will be a fork in the road stay Right & follow the sign thats says Youbou.
Our house is the 3rd driveway on the right #9186. It has a long driveway, fenced in & has a large garage built closer to the road.
Come check out the natural spring & large beach area. The park consists of a couple walking trails that are easy to navigate & great for dogs & kids.
An alternate more scenic route into the Town of Lake Cowichan
If you want to check out a cool spot visit the sleepy town of Youbou. I personally think this is one of thee nicest bars on Vancouver Island. The food is great & has a place to eat for all. Down belo

Billy & I were both born & raised in Fife, Scotland. We moved to Canada when I was 8 & Billy was 17. Billy has lived in lived in the Victoria area for the past 15 years & I have been on the South part of the Island for the past 11. We also work in the same low voltage wiring field. Billy owns a small company Fully Wired, specializing in Alarm, telephone, home theatre etc.
In our spare time we both enjoy spending time on the water, I enjoy fishing whereas Billy would rather be cruising or pulling a tube. We both enjoy living on Vancouver Island & all it has to offer.

Family of Five, 55+ with 2 young adult sons, nephew and a dtr in law and 1 couple (friend) on weekend. This was a perfect place to enjoy water sports, sunsets and views. The water is so clean and warm. The cabin was very modern and very clean. The owners pay attention to detail and allow you complete privacy during your stay. It was our first time renting from the owner and we are so grateful they trusted us to respect and care for their home as if our own. We will treasure our memories and hope to be invited back one day. Susie & Rick, Victoria B.C.

Our family was lucky enough to stay at Sunset Beach Lakehouse for a second year in a row. This place is fantastic. We love everything about it. It's perfect for our whole family (kids to grandparents). The owners have paid attention to every detail. There's everything you need to have an excellent vacation. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay at Lake Cowichan. Well worth it. See you next year!

We stayed at the sunset beach lake house last year,Our family had the best vacation ,the lake was so clean the house had every thing the sunsets were unreal,sitting on the dock with our coffee in the morning was a real treat for us.
