Your apartment is truly the best gem of Paris. We loved the neighborhood and everything about it. It was perfect! We had a wonderful time touring Paris, shopping, drinking, eating…so much fun! Went to an English mass on Christmas Eve and prepared a gourmet Christmas feast in your incredible kitchen. Thank you so much for the beautiful fans that you left under the tree, which was so beautifully decorated just for us! It is now New Year’s Eve and we are getting ready to spend the evening wandering about Paris. We are sure that we will have a great time tonight, but must leave for the airport at 5am, so we thought we should write in the book now! Thank you again so VERY MUCH for everything. Thank you so much for the wonderful nest in the center of everything. We had a fantastic week. It couldn’t have been better. We appreciated the fruit, flowers and bubbles and of course the daily cleaning (it made everything so easy!). Our parents really enjoyed being back in Paris and staying here played a big part of making it possible – a very special time for them. Beautiful city, great accommodations, comfortable and a great aura – it was a great time for all the family.

We can only reiterate all the glowing praise stuffed page upon page in the guest book. The accommodations were exceptional. Truly, were it not for Paris outside the courtyard door, we would have sat around the salon, slept late in our beds and drank coffee in the garden without ceasing. Indeed, this home would be better placed on the barren planes of Oklahoma where its glories would not have to compete with the Louvre, Muse D'Orsay or Notre Dame. We will happy book the first week should you relocate. Thank you so much for the flowers- which were lovely- the fruit- which we devoured- the Nespressor coffee- which we over-indulged- and for Ciela's welcome-which made her feel like a Parisienne Princes.

This is an absolutely beautiful apartment, located at the heart of many of the main tourist attractions of Paris. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Ile de la Cite and Notre Dame, a 15 minute walk to the Pompidou, and a short (no transfer) Metro ride to the major museums (Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, etc.) The apartment is extremely comfortable, with 3 bedrooms each with its own attached bathroom, and another smaller bedroom with a separate toilet. It accommodates 7 *very* comfortably. One note is that the apartment has a staircase that for a small portion of its lower end has no banister, which might pose a problem for people who have difficulty with stairs. (Although there is also one bedroom on the ground floor, which could allow those people to avoid the stairs if they sleep there.) There is also a large, beautiful common space for eating, talking, or watching TV, and a lovely private garden for the sole use of the apartment (a real rarity in downtown Paris). It's also more-than-fully equipped, with such extras as a cappuccino machine, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, and more. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The hosts were very nice and helpful, and any questions we had were answered immediately. They also provide excellent service that includes airport transfers, daily maid service. We found this *much* nicer than staying at a hotel, and for a larger party, quite cost-effective. We would highly recommend this apartment to any larger group that wants to spend a few days in Paris.

The location is wonderful to get lost in! We could have spent another week here just investigating this neighborhood. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the apartment is so spacious. Plenty of bathrooms! 5 WCs! Interior decor is lovely and furniture comfortable also. Great selection of movies. Vanessa was very nice and took good care of us during our stay. Thank you for a fantastic family vacation! The open "open bus" is a great way to tour Paris. You can get off wherever you wand stay as long as you desire. The subway is a reasonable way to travel and it's fast.

Jake Lisa lands in Paris thanks to our Grandma Jan and my Mom. What a great experience. My two boys travel to more magical places than I have in my whole life, at the ripe ages of 7 & 11. Audi, our oldest thought Paris would be like Traverse City, Mi, our home – but a little big! How fun was this! I pretty sure my wife would not object for a return visit. The apartment is stunning , it is also comfortable- beds are great, Kitchen is very well equipped, gathering areas for talk and/or TV are perfect, garden is a joy, bathrooms are well designed and very accommodating for tired bodies. Vanessa was Lovely and made sure we were all tidy with clean towels and ((made)) beds, etc, Everyday. We found our location perfect- lots of local shops and restaurant (thanks for your tips) and an easy walk to the Metro and bus. We ((did)) the city via an ((open tour bus )), went to the top of the Eiffel tower, took the RER to Versailles, visited the Louvre . Thanks for the exquisite flowers, wine and fruit. Paris is divine and over whelming-needs much more than one week-maybe a year-to really see it and then one still can’t understand it all...

Thank you for making our Christmas holiday trip such a memorable time! The Marais Luxe was perfect for our extended family of 7 persons. The historical property is beautiful ....you enter through the heavy wooden door through the cobblestone courtyard into an urban oasis. Not only is the property beautiful but there was ample bedroom and bathroom space for everyone without feeling crowded. The location is great with numerous galleries, boutiques, patisseries, restaurants, chocolate shops, marches and, of course, a Monaprix. The kitchen is well organized and well equipped....we prepared an elaborate Christmas dinner with no problems! The dining table was able to seat us all comfortably....our table looked very festive with the table linen, china and stemware. I have been to Paris many times and stayed in numerous apartments.... but the Marais Luxe is definitely the most lovely and well maintained apartments.....everything was in working order, with good instructions and easy to use. It is obvious that attention to detail has been taken to anticipate your guests needs and make their stay comfortable. I now have a new “standard” in Paris apartments!1` 1 I enjoyed the planning process with you.....the renting process was very easy and you were so kind to answer all my questions! The apartment was absolutely fabulous. The apartment is spacious, withdrawn from the street, therefore quiet. The apartment is on two stories. We had as many as 6 people in the apartment at one time and were never short on space. The furnishings are also very tasteful and lovely. The neighborhood was our favorite in Paris, great neighborhood restaurants and shopping, while at the same time not being over-run by crowds. Also worth noting, the apartment is about a quarter mile walk from the nearest Metro station, which is so key to getting around. There are also multiple grocery stores and bakeries nearby, allowing you to keep the apartment stocked with food, drink and pastries. The apartment also has access to a private garden, excellent for sitting and enjoying the Paris weather. The garden is quiet, serene and impeccably maintained. The hosts were fantastic as well. They were present upon our arrival, walked us through the apartment and explained how all of the appliances worked. Furthermore, they were always available should we need anything at all. Provided in the apartment is an excellent stock of brochures and Paris-related tourist information, which was immensely helpful. I really can't say enough about how good a stay we had at the apartment. The apartment exceeded our every expectation. I would definitely return to the apartment should I be in Paris again.

My family stayed at this property for a week in June 2010. All I can say is "Wow!" The property is gorgeous and came exactly as advertised. The apartment is spacious and beautiful with all the modern conveniences. The master bedroom is gorgeous with a modern bathroom with terrific shower. There are a lot of "extras" too, like the beautiful garden in the back and the very functional office with internet access and a printer. There was maid service too, to tidy up each day and make sure our needs were met. The location is key as well. It is located in a very happening section of the Marais district -- there are lots of shops and restaurants on the street where the apartment is located. So everything is accessible. What makes this place extra special though is that it is set back off the street so that when you're in the apartment or the garden, you don't hear the hustle and bustle of city life. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Our time spent in this apartment was nearly perfect.

My family just returned home after a 4 night stay in this wonderful flat. The location is convenient to many shops and restaurants and the Marais is a vibrant area with lots of energy. The flat is 5 minutes by foot to the metro so we were able to navigate the city very easily. The flat is decorated superbly and it is obvious that a tremendous amount of energy has gone into making the home special. My brother lives in Berlin and he commented on the size of the flat. Ruby, the owner, took special care to show us the home and my children especially liked the quiet garden and all the movies that we were were able to access. I highly recommend this home.

My husband & I were just out for a nice dinner in a outdoor patio in our "suburbia" city of Burlington Ontario, outside of Toronto and thought about all the crowded "café's" in Paris. I have shown my "Picasa" pictures to my whole office of our lovely apartment with keen interest. To me this was a keeper in our visit and just want to thank you again for all your thoughtfulness in "guiding us" in the right direction and your extra assistance in finding our way. We accomplished more than what we thought we would do and the highlight of our visit was the Gavarnie/Monet and Versailles visit on the Saturday. The apartment and assistance that we received was so much more than we accepted. We were completely comfortable and we enjoyed every day. It was beautiful stay, Having cheese and wine in the Garden was so lovely. The “Marais Palace” is a delightful retreat centrally located in the heart of Paris. The home is beautifully maintained and decorated. The home provides an upscale feel and with old world history. From the hustle and bustle of the European narrow, busy street, enter the code on the keypad and push open the gigantic solid door to the private courtyard leading to your house; nearby, but privately secluded from the action on the street. The inner garden provides a graceful spot for afternoon coffee and quiet moments. The kitchen has everything, if you want to cook a French dinner or light breakfast. This is perfect for families or couples traveling together. We will definitely stay again

Not only is the apartment beautiful – it is the perfect way to vacation in Paris. The garden in the back was a relaxing spot to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day in the city. We stayed in the garden apartment the last week of June 2009 (party of five adults). Fantastic accommodation in a great location. This apartment is an updated historical treasure and is extremely spacious as Paris apartments go at approximately 1,800 sq. ft. It is well-furnished and was the perfect place to start and end a day of sightseeing, shopping or adventure. The apartment is fifty meters off the street across a security doored cobblestone courtyard. Gorgeous private garden in the rear, with playful "le chat" was a great spot to unwind with a little wine and cheese. The apartment was super quiet, even on a very popular street for tourists during the summer and especially on weekends. Great access to public transportation at St. Paul metro station or Chemin Vert and Bus Line 29 which runs on rue des Francs Bourgeois and can take you directly to the Bastille. Place des Vosges and Pompidou Center are nearby along with many restaurants of all budgets. Easy walk to the Seine and Ile St. Louis (ice cream!). Jewish quarter shops are but a block away (fallafels and shawarmas). Vin, frommageries, boulangeries, patesseries, vegetable markets, ice cream and a Monoprix (Paris version of the Walmart Supercenter) are all nearby for daily snacks, staples and indulgences. David and Ruby are warm and gracious hosts and were an absolute pleasure to work with. You WILL fall in love with Paris.
