It's right on the water~ paradise! Renovated and updated with charming decor. Walk in the door and enjoy watching the pelicans, birds, fish jumping, dolphins gliding by! We've even seen the great manatees in our bay!
Across the street from the Ritz Carlton Hotel - plus wonderful casual dining within one block. The grocery store, shops, tennis courts, library just up the street. The Barefoot Pelican is a smaller gated condo complex, only 20 units in our waterfront building, 60 units total.
There is a beautiful pool and spa, as well as a covered dining area with a grill, and dockside bathing area. You can rent a boat within the same block and dock it right at the Barefoot Pelican!
Completely new kitchen in July 2010. Lovely custom furnishings, done in soft colors. Main areas all 16" Tile, with carpeted bedrooms. Plantation shutters, excellent comfortable beds, the master offering a king size, walk in closet and private master bath with shower. Freshly painted, crown molding,doors, new lighting, new bath vanities and fixtures July 2010.
Twin beds in second bedroom, a full bath with bathtub that all closes off from the main living area, for privacy. Full size washer/dryer, as well. The main room has dining table for four, china cabinets with linens, TV cabinet w/ 36" TV plus CD player and selection of movies. A full size sofa, two comfortable lounge chairs, ottoman~and good reading lamps. The lanai is tiled, table with four chairs, even a rocking chair, for waterside dining and newer windows and screens-right on the bay!!!
Completely turn key, beach towels & chairs. Luxury linens and beautifully furnished. Both the main living area and master bedroom overlook Vanderbilt Bay. A truly carefree vacation spot that is close to everything. You won't want to leave!

Why the Owner Chose Barefoot Pelican
The location is fantastic. Walk just a block and one half to the beautiful white sand beach-resturants. Shopping is just a short distance away.
Two large shopping areas less than 1/2 mile, tennis courts,bike rentals,post office, etc, Vanderbilt Beach is beautiful-pure white sand, always sparkling clean.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Great pool and spa right on the bay. Brand new pool bathrooms, covered bar area and nice grilling spot with tables and chairs. Fantastic view while enjoying a glass or wine or cocktail during sunset. The Barefoot Pelican is a small complex, not a high rise building!

We bought at the Barefoot Pelican in 1998. We owned a unit in Building 2 but after owning there for a year we decided we wanted a unit in Building 1 because it offered a full bay view and was the smaller of the 2 buildings. (Building 1 has 20 condos, buiding 2 has 40 units.) We bought in building 1 and closed in September of 1999 and began a remodel. We added tile floors, new bedroom carpet,plantation shutters, new windows, updated the bathrooms and kitchen, new appliances, new doors--and on and on.All new furniture too. We have only been renting our unit thru VRBO since the season 2008. The location and property are outstanding! We just love to be there and share it with vacationers during the season.

We stayed here for two consecutive years for a one week stay and enjoyed it very much. The condo is very clean and comfortable. My kids love it at the Barefoot Pelican!

This condo is wonderful. It is beautifully appointed and has been well maintained. It has everything you need including beach towels and beach chairs. The view from the lanai is so relaxing. The listing photos say it all. The beach is a 1/2 block away and there are restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner ranging from inexpensive to high end--all within walking distance. Even the cinema and the Publix are walkable. There are bistros for every taste. There is no limit to shopping experiences just minutes away. I will recommend this unit to my friends and family.

What a beautiful vacation-the location is fantastic-we watched the dolphins from the lanai, while we drank our morning coffee. Short walk to the beach and afternoons at the pool! Beautifully furnished and very well equipped condo with everything we needed. We really hated to leave and can't wait to come back.
