Our lovely 1BR/1BA beach condo is located at a beachfront resort on Sanibel Island and sleeps up to 4. In a recent review by U.S. News and World Report, ranking the eight best beaches in Florida, Sanibel's beach ranked in the number 1 spot! So enjoy the beach from our buiding, one building back from the beach, with a nice view of the ocean and resort grounds from our private screened lanai. This beautiful condo is I207 at Sundial West and It is truly paradise!.
We are just far enough back to be in a quiet location yet convenient to Florida's best beach and our large, free, ocean-side pool.
Our fully-furnished condo is on the 2nd floor and well equipped for all your vacationing needs. There is a queen-size bed, and TV in the sleeping area and a TV/DVD and sleeper sofa in the living room area. Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, beach toys, tennis racquets are available for your use. After a game of tennis, shelling, biking or round of golf, cool off with a swim in our ocean-side pool (free). A barbeque grill area is located nearby. Free wifi is included as well.
This unit is conveniently near everything you want to see and do, including the white sandy shell-strewn beach, a heated pool, Sanibel Lighthouse, Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve, golf, bike paths, tennis, shopping and great boating and fishing.
The unit sleeps 1-4 people and was designed for comfortable vacation getaways at the beach.

For your conveniance we use a local management company to ensure that your stay is pleasant and comfortable. Our one-bed room condo is just a 4-5 minute walk to the white sandy beach or to the pool from our door!
The beach is wonderful and goes on forever in both directions. We are part of a beachfront complex......the beach, our pool and the parking are free! There is a restaurant, tennis courts and spa at the resort open for your use. There is a fee for some of the other amenities in the resort such as the work out room and bike rentals but most of our guests just enjoy the beach and our free association pool and other activities on the island.
The bedroom area, with a queen-size bed, opens into the living area which has the sleeper sofa, but it can be closed off from the living area with a bi-fold door for privacy.

I was lucky enough to find a smart condo owner on short notice thru cyberrentals.com who was willing to give me a great deal instead of having his unit go empty. The studio unit is well represented in the photos, and altho a little dated devor wise, it was very clean and comfortable and the price was right. It does have a view of the ocean from the screened balcony. It is not in the building closest to the ocean but it was only steps away. The laundry room came in handy(just down the hall) and the condo pool was nice and not overcrowded at all, and just off the beach. Be aware that Sundial Resort itself has a new policy as of July, that does not allow guests who do not book directly with the resort to use the 'resort' pool and restaurants without purchasing a $25 per day 'amenity card'. I never bought the ridiculous card because I didn't need it. A short walk along the beach or the road(if you do not want to drive anywhere) will take you to the Holiday Inn, and they will gladly serve you. I suppose if you have kids that want to be entertained you might want the amenities of the resort but I saw no need for it. The condo unit worked for me, was quiet and relaxing, a great location on the beach where you can walk for miles in either direction and a great price. My husband and I stayed one week at this condo. Let me first say the islands, Sanibel and Captiva, are beautiful. Lots of bike trails, nature, animals and beautiful beaches. Pros: Nice location of condo, very close to the beach, pool and restaurants. At the beach we saw dolphins, manatees, birds etc. everyday. Condo is very clean, and does have everything you need. Condo grounds very well kept and clean, as was the pool area. Cons: Not really a one bedroom, more of a studio. Condo has everything you need but is getting very worn. Including beach towels (stained and thin) beach chairs very old. Attempted to clean alittle during stay but broom is so old and is no longer effective. Air condition unit is in the closet and is very loud and bangs when turning on and off. We were unaware that we could not use the main pool area, chairs or bar. We could only use the small pool near our condo which has no bar or chairs on the beach only near the pool. Sanibel and Captiva are beautiful islands and we will visit again. Thank you for the use of your condo we did enjoy our stay.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.

Sanibel Island is a true gem of a location. All the things said buy the owner about Sanibel are true and much more could be said. This vacation was not meant to be a luxury vacation it was for rest and together time and we did. Sundial Resort is getting a bit tired and could use some updating. The condo it self it quite adequate. Think of it like a Motel 6, clean with everything you need. If I was paying at the top end of the scale instead of at the bottom I may be writing something else. Maybe it is a common in Florida to describe a studio unit as one bedroom but it's a studio with not separate bedroom. The WIFI was very slow all week at 0.6 mbps. Don't take any of this as criticism, look at it as a clarification so there are no surprises. We took a taxi to the island and had bikes delivered from Billy's Bikes. what a great service. We rode everywhere. We are 60 and have traveled all over the world frequently to beach areas. This vacation was likely in the to 5.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: My wife and I had our 50th anniversary a few years ago! We have 3 grown children and 5 beautiful grandchildren and all of us love Sanibel! We love walking out the door of our condo to the beach and shelling. Sanibel was rated Number 1 of Florida's best beaches recently by U.S. News and World Report. That is why we are here! We want the best! This is it!
Why the Owner Chose Sundial:
We have chosen Sanibel Island as our home away from home because of it's casual elegance, and year round appeal. In the winter the weather is warm and mild. In the summer the tropical breezes, occasional afternoon showers, and warm gulf waters soothe your soul. Spring and Fall are the best kept secret. Low rates, small crowds and some of the most pleasant weather helps you relax, enjoy, and maybe stay two weeks rather than just one. Our condo on Sanibel Island is unique! It is safe, a short stroll to the beach and offers a lovely and free ocean-side pool. The Sundial Resort is next door and charges for use of its pool and other facilities, but its pool often crowded and noisy. Neither we nor our guests typically use that one.
The beach, second to none, is famous for its shells, and the 'Sanibel Stoop.'
Sanibel Island is a top vacation destination and offers something for everyone in my family. There is always something to do, or not do. It is so beautiful here that sometimes you just want to lay on the beach with a book, or do absolutely nothing but enjoy the scenery and tropical splendor. I love to watch the pelicans and herons fish for their dinner.
To sum up, Sanibel Island has everything you can wish for that makes up a super vacation.
In all the time I have spent here with my family, we have never had a disappointing visit!
