Seagate Villa is a spacious and breezy indoor/outdoor villa set on a one-acre waterfront lot only 5 minutes from town. There are 5 bedrooms each with its own private bathroom. The villa is designed to be comfortable and provide a true Caribbean experience with sounds of the surf, birds, lots of flowers and fruit trees. An easy path leads from the villa to Chocolate Hole Bay for excellent snorkeling and swimming.
There is also a private pool and large indoor Jacuzzi. Two decks provide both sun and shade. The upper deck has a large table and is the perfect spot for dining under the stars. There is a second mini-kitchen with a second refrigerator by the pool. With a constant breeze from the easterly trade winds, ceiling fans and louvered windows, Seagate Villa truly provides a real Caribbean haven for friends and family to come together for a wonderful Caribbean vacation.

Why the Owner Chose Chocolate Hole
We purchased Seagate Villa 12 years ago. We looked at many houses before selecting Seagate, but when we walked into the villa, we immediately fell in love with the view, the waterfront location, and the wonderful breeze from the easterly tradewinds. The house needed a lot of work, but the location was perfect - close to town, waterfront, and facing south which takes full advantage of the constant, cooling breeze. Now fully renovated, we couldn't be happier with our choice.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Seagate Villa is a wonderful casual and laid back home where family and friends can get together. There are so many things to do that each person can do what they prefer. Without leaving Seagate, you can snorkel from the front yard, harvest fruit for breakfast, swim in the pool, hunt for seashells, go jogging or take a scenic walk, soak in the hot tub, soak up the sun, read in the shade, listen to music, or take a nap. At night, dinning on the deck overlooking the water and watching the moon rise is a favorite for everyone.

My husband and I are retired and live on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in a small town named Daphne. Our favorite time to visit St. John is summer because the Virgin Island summers are cooler than lower Alabama's. We have three grown daughters. Lisa, our middle daughter, is a stay-at-home mom, who always has rennovation projects going on her 120 year old house. She volunteers a lot at her son's elementary school, and is now renting Seagate. She loves talking to and emailing people from all over the world who visit our wonderful home. Catherine is our oldest daughter. She has a teen daughter who has spent every summer of her life at Seagate. Catherine has degrees in both Architecture and Interior design and presently spends most of her time promoting green architecture and environmental protection. Suzanne is our youngest daughter. She works in the family business by day and teaches ballet at night. In past years, she was a dancing Muppet in the Sesamee Street Live touring show. We all love to gather with our spouses and kids and spend wonderful family time at Seagate Villa. We hope you will too.

I can't say enough about this house. We have rented a lot of houses because we are a big family ,and I have to say you have it all here! The kitchen is perfectly stocked with all the cooking utensils you need...beach towels to use(making packing easier), views to die for, and comfy beds to fall into at night after long days in the sun!! Memories made there to last a lifetime! Hope we can make it back some day!

My husband and I had the privilege at Seagate Villa with 4 other couples from 12/28/10 to 1/4/11. I must say it was my best vacation ever.. The pictures don't do the villa justice. It was simply amazing and difficult to leave. We are all planning on coming back as often as we can and will always choose Seagate Villa first. Thank you so much!!

I have been lucky enough to stay at this property on 3 occasions. It is absolutely the best place on St. John. The home is very attractive. It has a great layout, decor, and is stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. The views are gorgeous, and proximity to Chocolate Hole (best snorkling spot ever!) and town are excellent. I was a travel agent for many years and have been to a lot of nice places, but, this island and home by far outshine them all, and I would highly recommend it. It rates right up there with "Best Ever"!
