Hoffman Farm Cottage is Warm, Charming, and Very Reasonable!
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
This cozy mountain cottage is secluded on it’s own private 5 acres nestled beside the Hoffman Farm.
Just a short stroll down the front lane brings you to your own private pond and garden area where small children can kayak or play in the stream and families can have a campfire in the evenings.
Even with all this privacy, both downtown Asheville and historic Black Mt. are only 15 minutes away with great shopping and restaurants for all tastes.
The front porch swing is a great place to relax or you can sprawl out in the chairs beside the creek and let your troubles wash away. There is dining inside or out on the front porch where the weather averages a pleasant 72 degrees.
Children often enjoy visiting the farm and helping gather fresh eggs or milk the dairy goats when in season.
Adults like to visit nearby Warren Wilson College to hike some of their many trails beside the Swannanoa River or drive 20 minutes to Montreat to hike one of the ridge trails that ascend and connect to Mount Mitchell.
Whether you're visiting the Biltmore House or mountain biking at the nearby Arboretum, it is always nice to end the day soaking in the hot tub by the pond or gazing into the fire while the kids roast marshmallows.
Come and visit us; we know you will enjoy your stay!

The pictures of the Hoffman Farm Cottage are so typical of the properties amenities. We have stayed there many times for one and two nights at a time. In late April of 2011 we had a Mother's Day gathering here for our 89 year old mother. Four daughters and Mother had our meals together along with hours of happy reminiscing as a family. The newly remodeled kitchen has all the cooking and serving utensils we needed for casual eating as well as an elegant meal. The hosts had fresh flowers and welcomed us. I highly recommend this property for couples or families.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had the perfect Christmas Vacation at the Hoffman Cottage. The house was cozy and warm. We were welcomed by the owners with flowers and all the comforts of home. It was a week of board games, sledding on the property, and walking trails. (Our lab loved have open property to play in) We enjoyed a true White Christmas and sitting in the hot tub under a blanked of snow covered trees. Asheville was so close but we loved being tucked away at the same time. The local museums and Vanderbuilt were fantastic. Downtown offered great shopping and wonderful food. I would eat at the Mellow Mushroom it was the best pizza we have ever had. This is a great rental for a couple or family. We will be staying again in the summer to enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway on our motorcycle. Thanks for a great vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
