Escape to a retreat that is as busy (or not) as you want to be. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has everything you, your family and friends could want that is within walking distance to town (.3 miles) and to the ocean (.4 miles) where you can stroll along the ocean on a path that is approximately 9 miles long. George Washington Park (a natural wildlife habitat forest park that is 6 blocks long) is just around the corner. Other major attractions such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium (1.5 miles), Carmel by the Sea (approx. 5 miles) and Laguna Seca Raceway (13 miles) are close by.
The dining room is large enough to accommodate 10 people and the kitchen stocked with linens and tableware for 12 people. The kitchen is fully stocked with a gas stove top, convection oven and all you would need to cook up a storm.
Outside, relax in the Adirondack chairs and make full use of a gas barbeque grill while listening to the peaceful garden fountain.
At the end of your day, retreat to your private master bedroom upstairs suite with a gas fireplace and its own bathroom. The rest of your family and friends will welcome the two separate bedrooms. If additional sleeping space is needed, the couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa comfortable for two people.

$150 Cleaning Fee for Single Month Rental; Deposits vary depending on stay.
50% of balance due at booking; balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
No Refunds within 60 days of stay unless home is re-rented.

211 Chestnut was a wonderful place for our 2 families with kids. The house is beautiful, obviously well cared for and thoughtfully appointed. All the conveniences of home were there - all the kitchen aids / appliances we could need, and great stuff for the kids (as well as adults) - Chess, board games, DVDs, books, even Connect 4!. The quality of everything in the house was what we would have in our own homes (or better). We were graciously allowed use of anything in the house in terms of supplies, only being asked to replace anything that we completely depleted (condiments / pantry supplies). The location was very convenient to shopping, sight seeing, biking and tide pooling. If we return to the Monterey area, we would definitely try to stay here again. This is a very warm and welcoming home and the owner, Dorothy, was a pleasure to work with. This experience was much better than staying in a hotel or B&B, especially if you have kids.
