We rented this bungalow for a BFF vacation. It was perfect for our stay in Hollywood, CA. It is in a great location for walking to the boulevard and having a few stores near by. We felt safe and it's very quiet. The decor is fantastic and you feel like you are at home when staying here. Winston and Lynn were great to communicate with and went above and beyond to accommodate us! I would totally recommend this bungalow to any one. Would love to come back in the future!!

The moment we arrived everything was great. Great place to stay the home decor was very nice. I feel in love with the backyard setting. I felt like I was home away from home. It was comfy and cozy went way above my expectations. The location of the home was great. Winston and Lynn went above and beyond. This is a must stay if you are in the area! Exceptional Wedding Weekend

This bungalow is exactly as depicted and Winston and Lynn could not have been more helpful in arranging our stay. We reserved the bungalow for 3 nights, for our daughter's wedding weekend. It was a great location for us, close to the venue for the wedding. It was so nice to have a home away from home, for friends and family to stop by and say "hi" during our stay.We all were in awe at the attention to detail in decorating and the warmth of this cozy cottage. Not only would we recommend this property, we hope to soon stay there again..many thanks to Winston and Lynn.

i can only say that the bungalow was even better than its description - the attention to detail is superb and it is beautifully maintained. We had no car, but it is very easy to walk and to use public transport and the necessary amenities were less than 5 minutes away. The owners are so helpful and the emails beforehand were really friendly and communicative. The bungalow is the perfect place from which to explore Hollywood and indeed Los Angeles too. If I ever come back - and it is a little distant from the UK!- I would want to stay here again. I will be recommending it to all my family and friends.

This is the best place to see LA !!!!! You can visit the most things by foot (Walk of fame etc) and car (universal Studios) to avoid the terrible traffic of Los Angelos. This house is very nice. I cannot imaginate 1 negative point about it. Only maybee 2 little advises : From Europe you have to pay extra for the banktransfer, there must be another way I think. And free coffee will be a very nice extra service. After travelling it is nice to drink something without going to the shop first. Thanks again and Cheers from Holland !!!!!!

What a surprise! This was a cute little bungalow tucked away right off the walk of fame! Super immaculate place, very safe and secure, very private. Had everything we needed (mom and 3 kids 13,11 and 9). The owners were hospitable, considerate and helpful. Excellent value as well. HIGHLY recommended!

You have created a marvelous living experience in the stunning bungalow: evocative of the Golden Age of Hollywood, brilliantly renovated and aesthetically pleasing even to the pickiest of clients, and clean and neat as a pin. The three of us had the pleasure of staying with you for ten days earlier this month, and we had a fabulous time. The location could not be better, and we especially enjoyed the off-street, gated parking. We liked the confederate jasmine so much that we came straight home and bought some plants for our own garden! We've already recommended your bungalow to friends here in North Carolina, and we also plan on returning when we're back on the West Coast. Charming, cozy, and ideally located

We've rented several homes and cottages in the US and Europe in the last 10 years. This is the only one that's as nice as has been promised in the description. It's great -- cozy, well-appointed, and clean. It has some cute touches of Hollywood glamour. Plus, it's located just far enough from the Hollywood strip that it's peaceful, too. One more thing. While you might want to rent it because you can walk to Hollywood attractions, we found the real benefit is the easy access to downtown LA, the western areas (Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice), and north (Burbank, Topanga). LA is so much more than Hollywood that you will surely be driving or taking the Metro to other areas, too.

Where do I start?! My husband and I had the most active-faboulous time in Hollywood. We had three action packed days, that included trips to Santa Monica Pier, Farmers Market, Griffith Park, Redondo Beach, a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, driving through the Hollywood Hills and of course our last afternoon was spent walking the strip. The highlight of each day was coming home to the bungalow. I couldn't wait to make snacks and sit out on the front porch amongst the tropical surroundings and reminisce about the day . The bungalow is located in a very quaint and quiet area. Yet, at the end of the street you are just across the road from the markets. Lynn and Winston made our weekend getaway very memorable by providing above and beyond hospitality and by providing the the most unique bungalow in Hollywood! It truly is beautiful. Each day we would find something in the bungalow to comment on and of course I had to take pictures to show friends when we returned home. It is Top Notch! We will be back one day!

This was my second stay at the bungalow and I must say it was even better than the first. Words cannot describe the cleanliness, attention to detail and TLC that Winston & Lynn have given this lovely little home and its lush surroundings. So cozy and bright, every time I stay here it truly is like coming "home" again. From the charming, vintage decor to the abundance of towels & linens, private driveway and washer/dryer, this place has everything you would ever need (and then some) while traveling. If you're searching for the perfect accommodation in Hollywood, you've found it! We stayed at the Hollywood bungalow in early January and could not say enough about the accommodation, the location and our kind hosts, Winston and Lynn. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, very well-equipped and so welcoming to come home to at the end of the day. We loved staying in a neighbourhood that was quiet and safe, yet within walking distance to so many attractions! Our boys (young adults), raved about the bungalow and happily explored the area on their own. Winston and Lynn were wonderful hosts, and so kind and thoughtful too. It was the perfect family vacation spot! We hope to come back some day soon!!!

We stayed here over the holiday season of 2011. We loved the convenient location and the layout of this very cute property. Lynn and Winston are the nicest family and provided everything we could hope for during our visit. The home was just as pictured; spotless, charming and centrally located. Having 3 tv's was great, it rained quite a bit while we during our stay so that feature was much appreciated. Thank you Lynn and Winston, I hope we can stay again this year!

My husband and I travelled with our son, daughter-in-law and 13 month old grandson to spend Thanksgiving with relatives who live in Hollywood. Originally we planned on staying at a hotel, but the cost of two rooms plus daily parking fees was starting to rack up. Then I found VRBO, and this house. From the moment we drove up to the house we knew we found our home. The photos online are totally accurate - in fact it was even nicer. It was perfect - spotless with every detail taken care of. The wireless internet came in handy as two of our people still had work to do while on vacation. Loved the gated parking area - and the washer and dryer were an extra bonus. We also arranged for the owner to have a highchair and portacrib ready and waiting when we got there. They were there just like he promised. A couple of nights we had friends and family over for wine and cheese - it was great for entertaining too. So much nicer than being limited to a hotel room! There was not one thing I would have changed, and hope to be back again someday.

One of my best friends and I stayed at the bungalow for 5 days. It was perfect. Being in the profession of maintaining vacation rentals, I expected to go in and find at least one issue or something out of place upon arrival. Not the case. We were very impressed with everything from booking the rental to departure. No detail was missed. All the comforts of home unlike a hotel. The bungalow location was great and close to everything. It was clean and furnished with quality furnishing, ample linens and amenities. I rarely take personal trips without my husband, so safety was a big concern for him and myself before I booked. My concern was put at ease once we arrived. The neighborhood was great and bungalow was secure. The fig tree was in abundance, and make a great snack on the way out each morning. The location was close to everything. We went to all the sighsteeing spots, as well as Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Malibu and Venice Beach. So many dining options and great nightlife. The owners Winston & Lynn are just as charming as their bungalow. I hope to go back in 2011 with my husband. Thank you for the use of your great rental.

My family and I (two adults/two teens) stayed in the Hollywood Stars Bungalow last August. I cannot begin to describe the joy (and relief!) we felt when we found that the HSB is not only exactly as shown on the website, but even BETTER! It is a gorgeous, immaculate home in a prime and peaceful location. Everything was spotless, and it’s hard to describe in words how comfortable and welcoming the property is. After spending days out touring, it was so nice to come back to the house and feel like we were “home”—such a different feeling from returning to a hotel room. From the bungalow, it is easy to get to all the sites of Hollywood on foot. There is a choice of many restaurants nearby (try eat-in or take-out at Solar de Cahuenga—a stone’s throw from the house). A full grocery store is in walking distance, as is a CVS. It’s great to be able to make meals in the full kitchen as well as to use the bbq! And don’t even get me started on the fact that there is a full washer/dryer on the property—a must-have with teenagers! With the gated parking spot at the house, it’s nice to know there is always a spot for the rental car. From the house, we were able to easily drive to Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Beverly Hills and Burbank (very close). Even venturing out further (Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, etc.) is easy to do from the bungalow given the proximity to the highway (which amazingly, you don’t hear from the house). I recommended the Hollywood Stars Bungalow to friends, who were able to enjoy the property earlier this year. They, too, came back with a fabulous review! For anyone considering a stay there, please know you will not be disappointed!

My two teenage daughters and I spent a memorable week at this charming historic bungalow in July 2009 and from the moment we left we were already planning a return visit. Everything about this bright and sunny little doll-house exceeded our expectations. From the great location to home's comfortable decor to our wonderful hosts, Lynn and Winston - we couldn't have asked for more. It truly felt like our "home away from home" the moment we walked inside. So much better than staying at a hotel...cheaper too!

We loved this bungalow. The owners, Winston and Lynn, are extremely nice and helpful. The location was GREAT! Just minutes away from Hollywood Blvd, Griffith Park, and Universal. Everything we needed was there when we arrived. The property was sparkling clean and very well maintained. Winston gave us lots of dining choices and even brought us scales to weigh our luggage upon departure. Great customer service! I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Hollywood.

Perfect in Every Way!

This little jewel box, and her owners, made my stay in California a very happy one. I was there 6 nights while in L.A. to visit my daughter. I've always stayed in hotels while on vacation-- never again, if the 'home away from home' experience can be as perfect as this! The house was super well-appointed and spotlessly clean. It all felt new and cared for and valued. Being such a movie buff, I appreciated the bungalow's history and decor. The books about Hollywood were read cover to cover-- thank you! The location is ideal - easy to get to the places L.A. is famous for. On my daughter's birthday we were able to walk to the theatre where she had made reservations for a live show-- and then we walked back 'home' for dinner that had been prepared on that shining "chrome-wonder" of a stove! Winston took time to check and make certain all was well during my stay and he and Lynn are a wealth of information about the area. It's good knowing that whenever I visit again, I have already found the perfect spot to call home in Hollywood!

The last reviewer nails it - WOW... This place is so amazing. You simply feel the love the owners put into it. All the Hollywood details and other amenities - wireless internet, great shower, toaster - make this place so special. The owners were very friendly and helpful - we'll never forget the way to the beach via "La Brea"... We stayed in the house for the first 5 nights of our three week roundtrip through California. Not a good choice as we compared every other place with this perfect home. Just kidding - this place is always a good choice. Hope we can stay here again when coming back to LA. We were so sad that the place was not available for our last three nights in LA, but the owners helped us find a great hotel. How nice is that? Thanks!

An oasis of clean, quiet calm

Wow. We were pleasantly relieved that this bungalow lived up to the description and reviews. At first glance, from the outside, there's a small moment of panic -- it looks so tiny! But, inside, it is absolutely perfect, plenty of space!!! This is all I would need to live in, even. Everything is clean and truly just awesome. Lynn and Winston are readily available for any questions or concerns. Don't hesitate to call them if anything comes up. Easy access to the Hollywood Hills for hiking, Griffith Park, Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, and Melrose, Beverly Hills, and right off the 101 (literally, but the place is seriously very quiet). The bathtub is really really really deep -- amazing for a good long soak. There's a gorgeous old-fashioned stove that I wanted to use but never got around to. The little microwave-toaster combo and the refrigerator were all we used. There's a washer and dryer -- bring detergent. Off-street parking for a tiny car (we had a Zipcar mini-cooper). Cafe 101 around the corner is a great place for breakfast (and Michael Moore is one of the owners of the cafe). Thai Town is nearby, for amazing Thai food, and Angelis Caffe on Melrose is spectacular for "slow food" Italian. Have no fear, this is exactly what you're looking for -- if you need a quiet, safe, clean peaceful place to rest.

Once you stay here you will not want to come home! The peaceful setting is just the place to get away from your stressful lives. We stayed there the last week of May and loved it. MUCH better than staying at a hotel!! I would definately like to stay here again. Close to so many things.

We had such a great visit to California and we were so fortunate to have found this bungalow. The place was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, clean and so peaceful. The nice thing about this was we could walk to Hollywood and see so many things. It was very centralized to everything we wanted to do. Long overdue review of an outstanding Bungalow

We rented this unit for the month of April, 2007 while we awaited the birth of our first grandchild. This property is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. We had several small dinner parties while we stayed here and everyone who saw it loved it. The off-street gated parking was absolutely necessary and very appreciated. You're within easy walking distance of Hollywood Blvd. and groceries if you're carless. We will definitely stay here again when we visit. PS (The Hollywood memorabilia that decorates this place is fascinating! Who wouldn't want to stay in a place that housed early film stars working on a movie?)
