Come visit Washington and our lovely stand-alone "Loon Bay" cottage on private property located in Kitsap county, WA. It has a queen sized bed in the loft and is really lovely.

The main floor has a large living room with fireplace, eat-in kitchen and bathroom with washer and dryer. All you need to be completely comfortable is your groceries if you're not planning on dining out each night.

Enjoy a great view of the bay and Bainbridge Island, and via a private staircase, you can access our rocky, shell-covered beach. At low tide you can walk to the local marina, enjoy some hot chocolate, a bite of lunch/dinner or a glass of wine and take a stroll along the pier, watching the yachts and red sails in the sunset!

Loon Bay cottage has everything you need to feel at home. You can even borrow a "his or hers" mountain bike and enjoy the quiet country roads in the area.

  • Water View: Our back yard seperates the cottage from the staircase to the beach. Concrete steps allow access around the side of the house.
  • Mountain View: On a clear day Mt. Rainier and the Cascades can both be seen from the beach area and from the deck above the beach.

  • WiFi (Wireless Internet): Wireless repeater extends our DSL connection from the main house out to the cottage.

  • Stairs to beach. Walk to marina deli and convenience shop. His and hers mountain bikes available to use.
• Suitability
  • No Pets Allowed
  • Not Suitable for Children: There is a 60-step staircase down to the beach, just across the lawn from the cottage. Children should not be on there without adult supervision.

  • Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is fine outside under covered entryway to the cottage. We have a patio table and 4 chairs setup for you there.

  • This was a fantastic place and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful get away. The cottage still smells like a new home and is very nice. The gigantic HDTV and cable was a great treat while we relaxed in the evenings. It has a nice kitchen that we made use of as well as a comfortable bathroom with washer and dryer. Its neat to go down to the water and walk along the shore. We found a ton of shells! The town of Poulsbo is such a fun little town - we loved exploring it and the other little towns around, too. Not being big city people it was close enough for us to visit Seattle but to truly enjoy the beauty of Washington as well.

  • Loon Bay is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful area. I enjoyed myself immensely. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a trip to the Seattle area. The accommodations themselves are stylish, immaculate and comfortable. I slept soundly even on the pullout sofa. (My friend had the queen bed upstairs.) The full kitchen is great for cost-conscious travelers, the wireless Internet will keep you connected, and the fireplace lends a soft ambiance. There's also a huge HDTV with satellite service. Paulsbo is surrounded by natural beauty. A wooden staircase leads down to the water, and at low tide you can walk to the nearby marina. Lazy roads with rolling hills abound, so runners and bikers can get in a great workout while they're here. Hop in your rented car – a must! – and check out all the new houses being built. The Pacific Northwest’s distinct designs are definitely worth a look. Also, if you want to day trip to Seattle, the ferry is just a few miles down the rode. The price for a car and two passengers isn’t prohibitive – maybe $20-$30 depending on the direction you’re going – and the boat ride is a quick 50 minutes. (Just get to the docks early to be sure you make your scheduled trip. The lines can be long, especially during the summer.) Best of all, the hosts, Bob and Robin, were wonderful and at our disposal the entire time. They’re friendly and full of suggestions, so don’t hesitate to pick their brains for things to do and see. Bottom line: I’m looking forward to going back. Is there a better endorsement than that?
