Moon River Cottage is a cozy mountain paradise located in the midst of Roosevelt National Forest, facing the St. Vrain River. Rocky Mountain National Park is only minutes away. The cottage is located in the charming hamlet of Raymond/Riverside only a short, beautiful drive from Estes Park, Lyons and Allenspark.

Boulder is about 30 minutes away. The cottage is completely newly remodeled with eclectic, yet very comfortable furniture and artistic decor.

The granite peaks that rise just above your view of the river will take your breath away. During the warmer months, the lovely cottage garden is a delightful place to dine "al fresco" or just while away the time reading or fishing to the sound of the music of the river. The entire property is fenced for your privacy, and the safety of children, while not obstructing your view of the river and mountains beyond.

The bathroom has a large, old fashioned claw foot tub in which to soothe away any sore muscles you might have from your wonderful hikes in the area. Wildlife abounds. The hummingbirds and chipmunks will amuse you with their daily visits.

Our friendly property manager is just across the street, should you need him.

  • My sister-in-law and I spent a very long weekend at Moon River Cottage. We arrived on Wed., Sept. 30 to snow flurries, which continued through the next day!!! Friday and Saturday, however, were beautifully sunny and wonderful. The cottage was absolutely perfect! Lynda and I were there for a time of R&R, and we certainly got that! The cabin is so well appointed, you don't want or need for anything! And the setting and furnishings are delightful. We are planning to make this an annual trip and include my little sister in the future! Awesome place!! I can't wait to get back!

  • My wife and I stayed at the Moon River Cottage during the Aug 12 - 19 2009 time-frame. The cottage was very well equipped with all the comforts of home. Sitting on the back patio and listening to the St Vrain River was especially enjoyable. The weather cooperated every day and the temperature even got to the mid-30"s one or two evenings. WONDERFUL!!!! Highly recommend the Moon River Cottage.

  • Moon River Cottage is an idyllic and peaceful setting to enjoy the St. Vrain River and the mountains. The owner was helpful and accomodating and has done a tremendous job in creating a relaxing "home away from home" environment, from the comfortable beds to the beautiful flowers and landscaping. Modern amenities like DSL and Direct TV are available if you need them and the full kitchen is a nice bonus. The location is situated nicely between downtown Lyons and Estes Park. We loved our stay and Moon River Cottage and look forward to the next time!

  • We recently stayed at Moon River Cottage and had a great time. The furnishings were very comfortable and the St. Vrain provided a relaxing setting. We spent every day in Estes Park and the drive went quickly as the scenery was amazing. The Owner was very helpful and easy to do business with. Would love to stay here again.

  • It is an unbelievably beautiful location and property. We stayed for a weekend and enjoyed RMNP, Estes Park, and Nederland. Be sure to stop in the Raymond Store and find out a little bit about the local history.

  • We loved our stay at Moon River Cottage! As a family aof four, our two kids shared a room and we had everything you might need at the house. We hiked, went horseback riding, shopped, and visited Rocky Mountain National Park during our week-long visit. We loved returning to the cottage in the evenings and enjoyed coffee looking at the river in the mornings. Decor and furnishings were beautiful and you will find yourself not wanting to leave. Thanks for allowing us the stay!

  • We had a fantastic time staying here. The cottage has everything you need and more! It was nice to sit in the backyard and listen to the river. We loved the eclectic furnishings and the beds were very comfortable. The drive to Estes Park is about 20 minutes from the cabin and the views are breathtaking. Everyone we spoke to in this community was exceptional nice and very helpful. We had a great time staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful get away. Thanks Again!
