Being in the house is a pleasure. You can be both inside and outside while still within Casa Naranja. The kitchen and eating area open up with large glass doors and continue to the outdoor garden living/eating area with outdoor gas fireplace. Also outside in the garden are young orange trees and a simple fountain that throws dancing light through the water onto the cement wall behind.
Light and movement flow easily through this modern Mexican architecture. Much glass is used throughout the house allowing the high altitude natural light of San Miguel de Allende to fill it. Even more lights can be seen from the third floor studio whether it's fireworks (there seems to be an abundance of these!), the sunrise with mountains, or the lights of the city.
Colonia Independencia is a warm and inviting neighborhood, walking distance to El Jardin. And if you don't already know about all of the great things to do in and around San Miguel de Allende especially in the areas of arts and culture - you won't have to search far! Dont forget when you're staying at Casa Naranja to have dinner at Don Felix's, very near by!
