Our family has enjoyed our property at Lake Tahoe since 1984. We rebuilt the cabin in 2004 and renamed it 'Bear Dance Lodge'. We now share in partnership with another couple who are our very close friends. We enjoy the outdoors in all seasons....hiking, biking, boating and beaching in Summer; skiing, snowshowing, etc in Winter; Fall is a good time for leafpeeping and Spring is time for planting our flower garden.

Family Thanksgiving Retreat 2011

I rented this cabin for a family retreat this year and had an amazing time. I had family come over from Los Angeles with kids and they really enjoyed it. The cabin is equipped with lots of board games and plenty of toys/books. It is beautiful and well maintained. All the kitchen appliances we needed to make our thanksgiving meal were available. I had no problems booking the cabin, Alton makes everything really easy. I would definitely rent this cabin again. All my family had a great time and complimented me on booking a lovely cabin.

This was my first trip to Tahoe, and I can't wait to go back. This house was perfect for our group! We had such a blast cooking dinners, enjoying breakfast on the deck, playing tennis and hanging out at Chambers Landing beach and pool.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It is beautiful and in a perfect location! The cabin was clean and very well taken care of. Alton was great to work with. It had everything we needed as far as cooking supplies, games for the kids to play and room to relax and enjoy the scenery!

We stayed at this wonderful house for a weekend in March and for an additional 5 nights in April. Both times the house was immaculate upon arrival. The house looks and feels brand new and has plenty of space for 2 families. It is extremely well stocked and has everything you might need. It is only a few minute drive to Homewood Ski Resort. Alton was a pleasure to deal with. We will be back next year!

We recently chose Chamberlands for our annual family ski weekend and were very satisfied. The description and photos accurately represented the property. We especially appreciated the well-equipped and upgraded kitchen, cozy and comfortable living area and personal touches which made it more like a family retreat than a rental property. The fireplace was easy to ignite and extremely efficient and beautiful. We especially appreciated the hairdryer, games and sand in the garage for handling icy conditions. We're already looking forward to a return ski visit.

This is a great, cozy, comfy cabin to stay in, expecially for families with children. It is clean, well-kept and well located. We had a great time saying here, and skiing at Northstar, Alpine and Homewood. We will definitely be back again.

We stayed for a week in February. The house was great. It was very clean and big. There was plenty of space and you could tell that things had been taken care of. Everything was up to date and there were plently of little provided things like towels, coffee machine, cookie sheets and random movies. We had 7 people and it was the perfect amount for the amount of beds. You could probably have someone sleep up in the loft on the couch or with a cot. The place was breathtaking when you first came in. It was great to have 3 bathrooms. The only thing I would say is that there wasn't really enough hot water. You kind of had to plan out a shower schedule, but then it worked. There was a grill that we used in while we were there even in the winter. The beds were comfy and the couch and armchair were the best things that I have ever sat on. I have to say I had kind of hoped there would have been a snowblower. It did snow 10 ft while we were there, so there was a good amount to shovel every single morning. Really though, with 7 people it wasn't a big deal, its not such a long driveway and you can't expect the owner to just leave that around for people to use.
