We had a super time at Pinehaven this week. We were lucky to have wonderful weather most of the week. So, we enjoyed a fire almost every night. Pinehaven, is a homey cabin,, very classic of a northern woods cabin with todays amenities. We felt, warm, comfortable, and happy there. The loons on the lake,, amazed me,,, just so many of them! My daughter fed a family of ducks that visited us often. We also saw a woodpecker, deer, a fox, etc. We never saw a neighbor all week. Very private, secluded. Just us and nature! The way we love it! We would love to stay at Pinehaven again and are hopeful to do it next year. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with me and my family. Pinehaven is a special place!

My wife and I usually stay around the Minocqua area when we rent a lake cabin but this rental on the ''Quite Lakes'' caught my attention. A lake with no water or jet skiers, over 1300 acres connected to another lake over 1000 acres sounded to good to be true.. But it was true. We got up there on a Saturday , unpacked our stuff and headed for the pier to do some fishing. Off the pier we caught bluegilles, crappies and largemouth bass. The next morning I launched our boat off a nice public launch within walking distance of the cabin and tied it up to the pier. It was a great week ,never rained once and we saw wildlife everyday. Deer right from the cabin and every time we left , a momma duck and her babies that my wife was feeding at least a two or three times a day, eagles soaring around, loons on the lake everyday. One day I was out fishing and saw 6 loons together in a circle dancing on the water. The next day my wife and I were on the boat on the other side of the lake when we stopped by this dock that had a mess of bluegills around it and as we started fishing this beatifull little fox came through the property next to us walked out on their pier and sat down to watch us , it was unbelievable. The fishing was great, I think I caught my largest smallmouth bass of the year on that lake and thats saying alot because thats what I fish for throughout the year. There were a few times when I pulled my bait away from some big muskys and northern pike because I didn't want them cutting my line and taking off with my lure..We didn't see any neighbors the whole week but you really can't see them anyway bacause there pretty far away. The town has alot of nice attractions and there is a little zoo that has alot of animals that you don't get to see all the time, and it's got deer out in the open running around that you can feed.Pretty cool.. If your looking for a 1/2 a million dollar cabin this isn't it but if you want a nice clean private getaway Paula's got a little slice of heaven and we would just like to thank her for letting us share it with her. Were already booked for this year and we can't wait to get up there again.. Thanks again, Chuck & Gloria..
