Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 3
I love this neighborhood because it is walking distance to EVERYWHERE! Scenic river banks, museums, cafes - and still quiet enough to feel peaceful and calm. Walking down the streets here, I always find a new beautiful detail I didn't notice before - a balcony carved hundreds of years ago, a flowerpot on the doorstep, a streetlight straight out of the movies.
It is a perfect blend of tourist-friendly but filled with locals, old and young. Super super safe at all times of day so I enjoy walking at night without a worry.
The Unique Benefits of this Apartment
After living with 18-foot vaulted ceilings, I don't think I could ever go back to a basic room again! The height makes a small Paris pied-a-terre far more spacious and welcoming, and the floor to ceiling windows stream in light. The ground floor entry is a FANTASTIC convenience so we don't have two of Paris architecture's great drawbacks - small elevators or windy staircases (a challenge with luggage or children!)
