  Been taking my family to Beachwalk for 5 summers. We stay at Innisfree Manor.The home's location is perfect. Innisfree is central to everything. The pool, the park, Lake Kia and the ponds. The ponds and Lake Kia are great places for "little fishermen", the fiah just about jump on the hook. We look forward to walking to Lake Michigan in the evening to watch and take pictures of the beautiful sunsets. My grandchildren are all ages. There's something for everyone. The older one have the Lighthouse Outlet Mall. The toddlers have the park and baby pool. The "tweens" have the beach,the pool, kayaking on Lake Kia,and fishing. We also go the Washington Park Zoo. The kids look forward to climbing the tower and looking out over Lake Michigan. And feeding the parakeets that land on the sticks. Even the adults have the Blue Chip Casino for an evening out. Innisfree is clean and spacious with all the amenities. The owner is very accomodating. Great people. Looking forward to our 6th summer together.

  Our family has been coming to the Innisfree Manor for 5 years, this house is GREAT for family vacations. The owners provide all the comforts of home and could not be more accomodating. The beach and pool are both in walking distance, and for those fisherman there are a couple of choices as well. Cannot wait to bring our grandson for his first summer at Innisfree Manor 2013 !!

  This house is great for a family vacation. The owners offer anything you might need, all the comforts of home.I cannot think of one negative thing here... This is our 5th year at this house and we are looking forward to year 6 !!!

  Innisfree Manor is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, which makes it a safe choice for families with young children. It is removed from the action on Beachwalk's main street, yet is only a five minute walk from the pool, tennis courts, basketball court, snack shop and main office. The pictures on the site do not justice to the property. Inside, you will find all the conveniences of home, plus a few extras such as a large whirlpool tub & second floor balconies. The home is spotless throughout and also has a washer and dryer on the main level. The screened in, wrap around porch is the home's best feature. It is large enough for the kids enjoy, with room for the adults to sit and talk while cooking burgers on the grill. Innisfree Manor is only a ten minute drive from the outlet mall, the zoo, many restaurants and Blue Chip Casino. My extended family has made many wonderful memories at Innisfree Manor over the years, and we plan to continue this tradition. I have recommended Innisfree Manor to many, and will recommend it to many more, I'm sure. Innisfree Manor is an ideal setting for a family vacation. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Beachwalk.

  After spending a few summers here so far with my family, I would highly recommend this lovely home in Beachwalk. The house has every amentity we would need or could ask for, including an outside shower to rinse off all the sand from the beach! The beach is a short walk (5 minutes) from the house and you walk by other lovely, brightly painted homes that are part of the style of Beachwalk. My kids enjoyed reading all the different names of the houses. The screened-in outdoor porch is great when we wanted to relax after the beach, but stay out of the sun. It's also perfect at night when you don't want to be bothered by bugs, but want to spend more time outside. We loved having the Beachwalk pool too, because one of the kids is not a fan of sand. Beachwalk itself seems like a great family community with many family reunions taking place whenever I have stayed. Everyone is very friendly and family-oriented. There's always many children around in the summer- playing at the playgrounds or enjoying the pool. We've made friends with many families while staying & see a lot of familiar faces whenever we return. One of my favorite things to do while here is visit the Lighthouse Outlet Mall- always a good deal & wonderful option during rainy days (& for the older kids in the family)!

  The house is actually more updated than these pictures reflect. It is large and clean and really nice. The neighborhood has a great 1950s beach town feel to it with the design and colors of the homes. However, the neighbor right beside this place has 2 pitbulls, which is a little nerve wracking with small children. He also is not overly tolerant of young children. There are several people who live in this community full time and they were all pretty grouchy about kids. The walk to the beach is not exactly "short", but it's not too long either. There is not a lot in Michigan City to do and what few things there are, are rather overpriced. It's not really very "tourist" friendly. If you don't have little ones, and just want a house to hang out in, this is a great place to stay. Just bring extra washcloths.
